I liked them but it was an invasion of privacy. They could have been naked or doing stuff they shouldn't be. I would be mad unless they gave me half.

The photos look kinda crappy to me. I definitely think this is an invasion of privacy and I would be pretty mad.

The photos are kind of boring. If I wanted to pay that much money I would stalk my own neighbors. It is a bit of an invasion of privacy. They are in pictures without anyone knowing. I would only be upset if he didn't tell me. If he had permission he could sell whatever he wanted.

I like the photos but I would want to have permission for them to take pictures or anything. Yes, this was an invasion of privacy because they did not know that he was taken these pictures. If somebody made $8000 for a picture of me, I would faint, and want some of that money.

I don't see the "art" in those pictures. I don't necessarily see a complete invasion of privacy. However, one would think "What else did he see?". If I was an anonymous subject, I would stay that way and not make a big deal because then people would know who I am and what I'm doing in the picture. The easiest way would be to keep my cool.

I like the photos, they're very creative. Yes, it was an invasion of privacy but the peoples faces were not in the pictures so I don't know whats wrong with it. No, I do not have a problem with it. People have to make a living doing something and taking a picture of me and making $8,000 I don't have a problem with it, makes me feel good.

I found the photos really weird. This is absolutely an invasion of privacy. I would be really upset if I was the anonymous subjects in a photograph that gives someone else $8,000 dollars. I think it would be different if I gave them permission.

The photos weren't that great to me. It is definitely an invasion of privacy. I'd be mad if someone was making money off a picture they took of me if they didn't share!

The photos weren't that interesting. It was an invasion of privacy because they were taken without permission. I would be pretty angry if he didn't tell me. If he had permission, he could sell it. As long as I get 40-50% of the profits.

I do not like these picture they are just creepy. Why would someone take pictures of other people in their own home? Crazy. These pictures are invasion of privacy like no other. He is using a camera to look through someone's window! I would be scared, like I would never know when he was gonna take a picture. I would always keep my blinds down and just be scared. Also, I would ask him to give me the money, since it's my home and me.

The photos sucked. Because of this, I did not like them. And this is an invasion of privacy. I wouldn't care, I mean someone paid $8,000 for a picture of me. That's pretty cool man.

I don't really like the photos. Why would someone want to buy a picture of someone napping for $8,000? I think that is crazy! It was an invasion of privacy because he could have more pictures that people don't know about. If I were in one of the subjects in the picture I would at least want some of the profit.

I think it's weird. He shouldn't be taken pictures of someone with out that person knowing. If he took photos of me I would be mad to because it's a invasion of privacy.

I actually think the pictures look pretty awesome. From a amateur photographer's perspective the photos are unique and that's what every photographer strives to make their pictures. While the pictures are amazing, it was definitely a huge invasion of privacy! I wouldn't like anyone taking pictures of me when I'm not looking, no matter how great the pictures turned out for the photographer. If someone did take a picture of me and have the opportunity to make $8,000 I would be very upset; I would want the money to come to me since I was the subject of the pictures.

I agree with the neighbors who do not like the privacy invasion. If this were to happen to me, I would demand some of the money he made off of the photograph and have a petition signed to have him removed from the building. I would also like the rest of the photos he took to be confiscated and destroyed (just in case). The least he could have done was ask permission... Then it wouldn't have been as much of a problem.

I did like some of the photos. They were different, and unique. It was an invasion of privacy though. He should have asked all of those people first. I would not feel comfortable living in my home knowing that someone is taking pictures of me. If I was one of the subjects in the photo, I would hope to atleast get half of the $8,000. That's only fair.

The photos are alright, but I wouldn't pay $8,000 for them. It was an invasion of privacy because the people didn't even know the photographer was taking pictures of them. I would be upset if my neighbor was taking pictures of me without me knowing. The photographer should have asked the neighbors' permission.

I would not pay $8,000 for a photograph. The photos are pretty unique because nobody else has thought of the idea. If I were in one of the "neighboring" apartments I would be freaked out. The photographer crossed the line and invaded the peoples' privacy. I wouldn't necessarily be upset if I was one of the anonymous subjects in a photograph. I wouldn't want to be watched in my own house by a stranger. The photographer should have at least contacted the people before displaying the photos in a gallery.

I do think the photos are really good. It was an invasion of privacy and I don't think I would feel very comfortable if someone had did that to me. I would be mad because if anything I am the one in the photo so some of the profit should have gone to me.

The photos are stupid. They are also an invasion of privacy. Yes, I would be upset if it was me

I don't think it is bad. You can't see their faces and they aren't bad pictures. If you are by a window then you should know that people can see you. I wouldn't be mad if someone took a picture of me. You probably couldn't see my face anyway. People are always making a big deal out of everything.

Bre said...

I liked some of the photos. I don't think it is really wrong because you can't see their faces and tell who they are. I most definitely would not buy a photograph for eight thousand dollars. If I was in one of the photographs and you couldn't tell it was me and it wasn't very personal or exposing I wouldn't care. It would have been a lot better if he would have asked the neighbors but they would have been freaked out anyways when he asked them to go about their normal lives while he sat and watched for a photo-graphical moment.

It was an invasion of privacy. These people didn't know they were being photographed. I would probably be pretty upset if I was them. I wouldn't want to be watched like that by my neighbors. Not only is it an invasion of privacy but its kinda creepy too, not knowing someone is watching you like that. I would half of the money if I was one of the people photographed.

I think the photos are weird. Its for sure an invasion of privacy. Id be extremely mad if someone took a picture of me without me know and they make $8,000 off of it.

I like the photos, yet I believe that they are slightly invasive. I think that's why they are selling for so much. If I were one of the subjects in the photos, I don't think that I'd get upset, but I wouldn't appreciate it. Also, this is obviously a well known artist, which is why they cost so much. You are buying the well known name.

No, they look very private. So why would you want to take a picture of other people for? To me yes it was a invasion of privacy, people don't want their photo takings of them well they are in the privacy of their home. Yes, 8,000 dollars for a photo , really?

Tyler R said...

I don't like this. I guess you can say it was. No as long as I get most of that money I'm cool with it. Shoot take a pic of my arm then. I don't see how this is art any way.

Personally, I think it is pretty funny. I say that's what you get for wanting to live in a big city. Move your butts out of the city and to the country and you won't have this problem. People get their panties in a wad over stupid stuff, it's not like there were any pictures taken that included nudity, fornication, or anything illegal. Maybe this will be a lesson learned for people to close their curtains, even though the guy shoudn't have taken them in the first place.

I liked the photos, but the thought that the neighbors had no idea is concerning. I believe these people should have known about these pictures, before they were put up. I wouldn't be upset, depending on what I was doing. If it was me putting my child to bed, or just hanging around watching TV, I wouldn't mind, but I should get at least a quarter of this money. I would be the subject of your art work, and without you having my picture you wouldn't be able to make the money.

I thought the photos were just weird and boring? If someone wants to see it as art, that's fine, but for the people who had no idea that their picture was being taken and sold, it's wrong. It is an invasion of privacy. It would have been different if he would have gone to the complex and ASKED them if it would be ok if he took some pictures for an art gallery. The fact that he didn't even tell them and started to sell pictures of them is just wrong in my eyes.

I think some of these photos are amazing. I agree that none of the faces can be seen so there is really no way to say that this was an invasion of privacy. This would be just like saying that a man can not take pictures of trees or children playing at the park because it is an invasion of privacy. I would not be upset if someone made $8,000 dollars off my picture. This is a job, an art, and a career. No one else had the creative idea to take pictures through windows of people during there every day routine. This is part of his job, to express art in a new way and I think he deserves his Paycheck.
