Discussion: Is this "The Most Racist Commercial Ever"
Do you think this is "the most racist commercial ever?" Why or why not? Do you agree with PepsiCo's decision to pull the commercial?

Gameplay: Same as other online games, this game emphasizes teamwork to win the battle against powerful enemies. When it comes to optimizing your game playing, you will be able to get plenty of game add-ons with your gold card status. As computer and video games have increased exponentially in popularity over time, they have caused significant impact upon popular culture.
There is also a boom that can be moved up and out of the way when one wants to simply use the headphones. These buttons are a very cool feature for the mouse, so if you've never used a feature like this before, don't be too intimidated not to try them out.
This commercial isn't racist. I mean come on. Stereotypes are so frequently portrayed in EVERYTHING you see. If you can't portray them in a small commercial, why portray them else where? PepsiCo, you suck because this commercial is hilarious.
I don't really find this racist, but I could see how it would be offensive towards black people. I think it was probably best that Pepsi pulled the commercial.
Maybe it's because I'm a Tyler, The Creator fan but I don't think is add is racist at all. The only reason I think they're all black is because they're all his friends that work with Odd Future. If you listen to Tyler's music you'd know he jokes around and you can't take him serious.
I don't think that this is very racist, it seems to be very funny. Because it'll make people laugh and sell there product. No, it would still be able to sell products.
This video was not racist at all. This video is just for humor not for someone to be mad at Mountain Dew. It was the right thing to do to pull the commercial because people were getting upset. Either way I'll still love Mountain Dew and Pepsi and I loved these commercials.
I didn't find this commercial racist at all. I'm actually a Tyler, The Creator fan and I know that I seriously can't take anything Tyler says serious. He jokes around a lot. If people get offended, that's their own problem. PepsiCo shouldn't have pulled the commercial. Not everyone will always be happy; it's just how it is.
I don't think this is "the most racist commercial ever." It's not the best marketing ad for Mountain Dew either. This commercial is pretty weird. I do think it's funny how people are calling a black guy racist for directing the commercial. This commercial was intended to be funny, not to offend anyone. People will find any excuse to accuse anyone of being racist.
This commercial is not the bad, there has been a whole more "racist" commercials. Although, I do think that they should of been made to take it off the air. The bad thing is, is that its not really funny and it would make me not want to drink it any more.
I don't think this video is racist. I think it is funny. If everybody thinks it is racist then we are never going to be able to over step this boundary of racism.
This is not all that racist. Everyone already knows the stereotypes of black males. It is what it is...a stereotype. People can choose to ignore it. Perhaps one white man would've made it better, but still, the media would've found some other problem to have with it (some stereotype about white guys... I don't know). I think that they chose to use black guys because they are the race that's most prominantly known to wear "dew" rags... It goes with Mountain "Dew". Made sense to me. Though, I do understand the possibility of some getting offended.
I don't really find this commercial racist at all! The people do bear a resemblance to this goat. I mean they do look like a goat in the face. They really do. I don't really agree with their decision to pull it because it wasn't really racist. The fact that it was created by a black man just makes it even less racist. It was really just funny.
I don't think the commercial is "the most racist". A goat is not black. Showing a goat do crimes is not against any race. No one else ever did a crime on the commercial. If people want racism to stop they have to stop calling it out all the time when it is not even there. You never hear about racism in the opposite way because it doesn't bother anyone. No reason this should.
I don't believe this ad is racist. It's meant to be humorous, and that's what it is. I can see how it would offend some black people, but a lot of them do joke around concerning jail time. If I was PepsiCo, I would pull the commercial, just because I wouldn't want to deal with all the backlash they were receiving. Some people take things too serious these days.
This commercial isn't racist at all. It's just challenging stereotypes through humor. You find stereotypes everywhere: video games, TV shows, jokes that people tell today. PepsiCo shouldn't have pulled the commercial. If people get offended, it's their fault. They need to take a chill pill or do something with their uptight lives.
This commercial is not racist. This commercial was just trying to get people to laugh. I can see why some people think this commercial is racist, but I don't think it is. The man who made this video was an African American. I do agree with Pepsi's decision to pull the commercial because it was causing too much drama.
Some people never seize to amaze me. The commercial is so random and I have no clue how he thought of the idea. I can see how some people would get offended by the commercial because the lady can't tell the difference between the goat and the black men. In the video it says that he likes to talk about stereotypes with humor. Clearly he was trying to funny when he produced the commercials. The commercial is not "the most racial commercial ever."
The commercial was kinda racist. Tyler has always been known for pushing lines. He should never be taken on a literal level because, he always joking an playing around. Most people will find this racist an I can see why. To me personally I don't think it's anything to get mad over.
I don't really know what to think of this commercial. When I saw it my first thought was that it was ridiculous, not that it was racist. It is probably someone who just wants to start something, looking for money.
This isn't a racial commercial because for one it was made by a black man. Also the men in the line up were his friends. People make a big deal out of the dumbest things. I do think they should have pulled the commercial just they wouldn't have to deal people.
I dont think its racist, its just another thing for people to complain about. If it will stop people from complaining then yeah they made a right decision in pulling the commercial.

This commercial wasn't racial. I can see how someone could be offended by this. This commercial is not the most racial commercial ever. They were just trying to be funny with the commercial.
People are too uptight. Obviously if they are talking about the commercial being racist towards blacks, they're stupid, since it says specifically that a black man created the commercial. People these days are so sensitive. I dont even understand how it portrays the violence towards women. I think women these days look for things that they can say they are oppressed by, and it gets really old.
I think that people make big deals out of things that aren't that serious. It was suppose to be funny, not offend. People are always going to find a way to make something seem bad. If people would not take everything serious, they wouldn't become offended so often. PepsiCo only took it off because of these people. They probably don't really care about how the people feel, they just don't want to hear the nonsense that people always bring to ridiculous situation.
I think that this is ridiculous; some things are taken too far. Our entire world today is racist. No matter what you do, someone will find a way to make it racist and cause a big issue. I think that they should have left the commercial up and made a video explaining it was not meant serious it was a joke and it’s just a commercial.
I don't think this video is really racist. The video was made by Tyler, The Creator, i mean come on now. I dont see how someone could say its racist when the video was made by a black man.
I do not think this video is racist. If the producer was a white man then I could see why people may see it is racist. I think Tyler the Creator making this video, was meant to be funny and nothing other. If people get upset about the video, than yes they should pull it. Jessica Blythe
No,I think this is supposed to be a stupid and funny commercial. I would pull the commercial ad just to make all of the drama go away. I find this kinda ridiculous. This is not promoting violence to women at all and this is not meant to be racist. This is supposed to be a funny video and everyone is taking it out of hand.
I don't think the video is that racist.I mean, what do you expect? An all black group makes a commercial in which they take place in so how is it racist? when they are black them own selves. I think it is kind of stupid that Pepsi pulled the commercial. I found the video funny especially when the goat says "playaaa". Everyone is always gonna pull the race card at least once over something small and petty. Maybe Tyler should place a white animal in his next commercial to avoid conflict. -Dixie Gibson
This video is so funny! I don't see anything racist about this video. I'm a Tyler the Creator fan and a fan of Odd Future and they always joke about stereotypes in their music. No one cares about racism anymore, and the people who do are the reason racism is still around. If you listen to Odd Future you would understand but they are always criticized for no reason. If I was Tyler I would tell the media to hop off and get a grip.
I thought the commercial was alright, I could see how some people could get offended, but then again I always see things as a joke, and unless something is really hurting you, don't even bother with giving it attention. I do understand why Pepsi pulled the commercial though.

I think this is kind of racist. But if he meant it as a joke then they shouldn't take it literally. I think it's better that they pulled it.
