Who would want to steal from somebody's house. My house has been robbed three years ago. My mom had just dropped me off at school and she came home and the back door was opened when she walked in they ran out her bedroom door. Getting an alarm system, and making sure your doors and windows while your not home or asleep.
Amazing. No, me or anyone else has not been robbed. I don't think there are any precautions you could have taken, they would not have known if the 12 year old didn't set up her web cam.
Why would someone try to steal from someone's home? A couple of years ago a person tried to break into our home, when no one was there. The person wasn't able to break in, because our neighbor called the cops, but there were other robberies that took place in my neighborhood that day. You should always lock your windows and doors and make sure they are locked.
Its pretty cool that a 12- year old caught a thief. Some people down the street got robbed. Always have a camera in your pillows. lol
I think it's scary, that someone would come into your house and it's even scarier to catch that person. I have never been robbed, however, if I was in that situation, I would definitely keep cameras somewhere in my house as well as an alarm system.
I think that it is cool that the girl caught the robber. No I have never known anyone who has been robbed. It is a good idea to have a camera set up in your house.
That is super crazy. I do know someone who was robbed. My Grandparents were robbed once. I do not remember what the robber(s) took, but I know they were robbed. In addition, our trailer (someone is renting it) has been broken into, but I do not think they took anything. The cautions and warnings I can take and learn are to make sure I have a security system (we have one) and to make sure I do not sell my house by having open houses.
That's pretty cool that she caught the guy and she is only 12. I know she had to be freaked out though; knowing someone was in your personal space is a bad feeling. I've had people break into my garage and steal a lot of stuff from my family but we never caught them. However, I did have someone try and break in my house and I seen the person thru the window and his truck was parked in the field in front of my house. Seeing the person looking at me thru the window was one of the scariest experiences I’ve ever gone thru. The cops came... hours later! They didn't see him but they could tell he was still on the property somewhere. The cop left but was only at the end of the street so about an hour after the cop left the truck started and then the cop chased him down, but the guy ended up totaling his truck. I’m not to sure what happened to him but I do know since then I haven't felt as safe at my house.
I can’t believe that a 12 year old girl caught a thief by using her webcam. It’s funny how just by chance she caught this guy robbing her house when she was really trying to catch her sisters messing with her room. The family should be thankful that she was skeptical of her sisters because otherwise they would’ve never caught they guy that robbed them. I’ve known a few people that have been robbed, but they weren’t home when it happened. A girl at my dance school was robbed and she came home to find her front door wide open and stuff was all over the floor and their furniture was turned over; you could clearly tell the house had been ransacked.

Yes my cousin lives in Newport News and he was has an pit bull and he was on his way out the door before he got the chance to leave the person had broke in but he didn't expect the dog to come and soon as the person broke in the dog charged right at him and bit him and tried to run out the door but the dog caught had a hold on him. To always lock your doors and set alarm systems.
I think that little girl is a triple OG. She ended up finding a thief but it wasn't her sister it was a man. I've never been robbed and I hope I never get robbed.
I think that it was a coincidence that she happened to set up her webcam too catch her sister but instead she caught a criminal. I do not know anyone that has been robbed and I have not been robbed before. The warning is that if you have a open house do not leave any door open on the house.
