Read this article.

What do you think? Does the ad seem a shade lighter? Do you care either way and why? Do you think "dark skin" is considered less than "light skin" in today's media and why?

I thought it was good. Yes the ad seem a shade lighter. No, I don't care either way because I'm not really into who's skin is dark and who's skin is light. That's just not me. No, I think dark skin is considered darker than light skin today because you see every one who's trying to go tan to get their skin darker.

I do think that Beyonce’s face looks lighter than the rest of her body like the article says. However, I probably would’ve never realized that if the article hadn’t pointed it out. I don’t really care either way if she or her producers had insisted that her skin be lighter on her album cover, it’s her own decision. I don’t think that most people technically prefer light skin over dark skin. Industry professionals do usually tend to choose lighter skin instead of darker skin shades for their work.

I think that this article is ridiculous. Yes, I think it does seem a shade lighter but I think it is because of lighting issues. No, I don't really care either way. No, I do not think that "dark skin" is lesser than "light skin" in today's media because you can still have amazing acting or singing skills weather you are "lighter" or "darker". Skin color shouldn't matter.

I think Beyonce' looks lighter than the rest of her body. However,I don't really think it matters. If she wanted lighter skin then so be it, what's the issue? I think light skin is more prefered over dark skin.

I think Beyonce did look lighter. I really do not care either way. I still think she is beautiful. I do not personally believe “dark skin” is considered less than “light skin” in today’s media. Only if you were really dark (black) and you become really light skin, then that is a controversial. However, I do not think they are considered less.

I think it looks like Rhianna with a Beyonce body. Her face is not that light and I think she should change it. I think everyone is equal in my opinion.

I think that she does look a little lighter than normal. Yes it does seem a little lighter. I really don't care because God made you the way you are for a reason. I do think dark skin is considered less than light skin, because most people that are darked skinned do not get the same recongition as people that are light skinned.

She naturally has a light skin tone, but her album does look slightly lighter. This is no big deal at all to me. It’s just an album cover and I don’t understand what the big controversy is. A lot of artists alter things about them just to make things like this look better. I think everybody needs to let Beyonce do her thing and that is all I have to say about it.

I think its just the lighting playing tricks with the camera. it does seem lighter. I really don't care either way.

Beyonce really does look lighter in theis ad. It really doesn't matter to me and I don't care any way. If she wants to have her skin lighter, she can do whatever she wants to do. Dark skin is definitely less in the media than light skin, because people see that light skinned peoples are more attractive than dark skinned people.

Beyonce to me has always had light skin. Honestly, either way it is her cover for HER album; I don't get why people care. It's the same exact thing when people edit there flaws out of their pictures. I don't really know what is considered with dark skin and light skin. I don't think it should matter.
