Do you think the Boston bombing suspect deserves the death penalty? Why or why not? If not, what should his punishment be instead?

This young man deserves the death penalty. What he and his brother did was terrible. Someone who killed, is gonna kill again. He knows how to make bombs, if he stays alive how do we know if he doesn't show someone else how to make on?
Taking a stand on this subject is quite hard. The death penalty would be the ultimate punishment, but in my eyes, he should have to suffer. The death penalty would be too quick. It may sound harsh, but he should have to deal with the physical and emotional pain he put everyone affected by the bombing through. I'm not sure what other punishments are offered in jail, but I hope he gets the worst one!

He deserves the death penalty. They did wrong and they should get punished to the worst. You never know what he will do again or tell other about since he already knows how to make the bomb. If they don't give it to him then something is up with Boston.
I believe he does deserve the death penalty but, he should have to suffer first. if he gets sent to prison for a couple months inmates are going to mess him up. He killed a child, inmates don't like that.
Since having a published article in a magazine on how to build bombs, it really wouldn't matter if he could teach someone how to make a bomb or not. The resources are clearly printed and online. This guy that created an unknown tension atmoshpere in Boston should face the death penalty. He did something wrong, he knew he did something wrong, he should have expected such consequence. If he is let off in anyway, then I will be disappointed in the authority that this government has the power to use!
I think he deserves to be put in solitary confinement. It would be better then the death penalty because he would have to live with himself alone for the rest of his life.
I am not against the bomber getting the death penalty. Giving a prisoner the death penalty takes so long that it costs more than a life in prison sometimes. He needs a suitable punishment. He can't be allowed on the streets again. He lost the right for me to care what happens to him when he bombed children and civilians.

I believe that this man should have the death penalty. I don't want to sound like some sick minded person but I think he should be put to death by strapping a bomb just like the ones he made and setting it off. I know that would never happen but I feel as if he can think hes this big person and can kill innocent people, then he should have the same thing done to him that he did to these people.

I think he deserves the death penalty. I only say that because cruel and unusual punishment is illegal in this country. What he did deserves far worse than the death penalty. He bombed an innocent city and put our country into a time of disbelief and tragedy. He needs to be tortured and then starved and then crucified and then tortured everyday until he eventually dies a natural death.

I'm against the death penalty. Just like the term "you shouldn't fight fire with fire," you shouldn't kill someone for murder. I think he should spend time in prison for a while and have to suffer, instead of dying right away. I do believe what he did was terribly wrong. The Boston bombing suspect does deserve the death penalty. The suspect should have to suffer for his decisions. The victims knew what they were getting themselves into, and now the suspect has to face the consequences. He should not be offered the "easy" way out.
I believe he should have to suffer before he gets a death penalty. After all the horrible things he has done, he needs to suffer. The death penalty is an easy way out. He needs to think about all the destruction he has made.
I don't care whether or not he gets the death penalty. He gets it, he dies. He doesn't get it, then he lives with the guilt of the destruction he caused. It's a win-win. If he doesn't get it, he should have to suffer from Strappado (reverse hanging), and then stabbed 100 times per week while avoiding any major arteries. It's a win-win.

Yes he should serve death penalty. But, he may be exciled some where, he can not go back to Russia. I thought it was hilarius he got hit in the head by the flash bang.

The death penalty costs more than life in prison. That is completely unfair to US citizens. I honestly think he should get life in prison with 23 hours of solitary confinement a day.
I do and don't think that he should get the death penalty. I think what he did was bad and he should be punished and killed for killing people but then again I think he shouldn't be killed so that he can suffer and have to deal with what he did. I think that he should have to sit in jail and should be reminded everyday of what he did and how there families are affected.

I agree with the death penalty. I find this a hard question to answer. Part of me says that he shouldn't receive the death penalty because that's too easy. However, I don't want him to stay in federal prison the rest of his life, in which my tax dollars will have to pay for him. If it was my decision, I'd have him strapped into the front seat of a car, shot in the knee caps, and then that car be driven off of a small cliff that wont kill him, but rather he will bleed out at the bottom of the cliff.

Death is a sore subject right now but this guy deserves to die. If he thinks its ok to blow up innocent people hes got a sick mind,I wonder if he thinks its ok for us to blow him up for fun like he did to the marathon runners.

The person should get the death penalty. He killed other people during the bombing, I believe in the term an eye for an eye. He should not even have a chance to defend himself.
He deserves much more than the death penalty. He should be tortured everyday of his life and should be showed pictures of the destruction he caused everyday. He should be made to watch the video of the bomb going off over and over again. They should make him loose his legs or arms like several people did in the explosion. Then have every name of the people killed carved into him. It might be cruel but it gets the point across that we mean business. They should even make him have kids and kill them in front of him since he killed innocent children. Its all fair. That is my thoughts on it.
