I agree with this picture 100%. Its not the guns that is the problem. Is the people that have the guns. What about hunters, they do not do anything wrong. They treat the guns right. Not everybody should get punished for what some people are doing!

The pictures are totally alright. The advertisements are right. Making guns illegal won't get rid of them. It won't make the misuse of an item to do something illegal less frequent. It will just make it harder. Guns should be regulated yes, but not to a point that is ridiculous.

I do agree with the picture. Just because you make making guns illegal doesn't mean people are going to stop using them. It's the same thing as making marijuana illegal. Even though its illegal people still use it. What about people's safety?

Since I'm pretty liberal everyone thinks I'm against gun rights, but I just think they need to make guns harder to get. Even though that isn't necessarily going to help with under the table deals. Regardless the government is going to be cracking down on gun laws, not taking them away just adding more restrictions. It's just part of the society we live in today.

My opinion isn't because I hunt and use guns, because its my right to bear arms. With all of these shootings happening around the country, people say that its because of guns are doing this. Its not guns that are doing this its the people who have these guns are doing it. A gun doesn't have a mind of its own, a human being does and that's why we have had all these shootings because certain people get this nerve to do such a thing and do it.

If something is illegal, it doesn't mean people aren't going to do it. I think advertisements are good if you are trying to sell something. I think that there shouldn't be any laws banning guns to certain people. If you are mentally ill then you should not have a gun.

The ads make a point but a lot of people will just take them as literal. If you do that they make no sense. I don't think guns are the problem. The crazy people getting their hands on them are. Regulation won't stop them from getting guns any more than they keep criminals from getting them now. They will find a way. You need to check the people. If you are selling an assault rifle with ammo for a small town just run a background check and don't sell to obviously affected people.

The advertisements are interesting. I don't really know what to think of them. It's crazy that something as harmless as a book or chocolate eggs would be banned at schools. I do not agree that guns should be banned. Guns aren't the problems, people kill other people. The logic behind "guns kill people," is the same as saying pencils misspell words.

The ads are ridiculous, but it isn't guns that are killing people. Stupid and Ax Crazy people with guns are the ones that kill. Guns shouldn't be banned, but harder to get. Just because something's illegal doesn't mean that people still won't try it. Look at drugs, crime, and Prohibition. People still tried to get away with all of it.

These advertisements are pretty shocking. I never knew that Little Red Robin Hood was banned from school nor the chocolate egg. I don't agree that guns should be banned. Guns are not the problem, the people are. Some people use guns to have protection for themselves not to go out and kill people.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Living in the country, I have grown up around guns my whole life. I understand how they work and how dangerous they can be; therefore, I respect them. In America, people who do not have a family who hunts or bears a concealed weapon aren't educated and understanding of how guns aren't bad. Many people think just because shootings and tragedies are happening that all guns are bad. The government should do more thorough background checks before a person can obtain a weapon. Guns cannot be taken away from every citizen in America. That goes against everything America is about.

Well, like many who stated in the article, "BOTH ARE banned in schools." And they are, but they could have done something else with it (the ads), to make them more effective. I think that being able to get a gun should be more difficult. Background checks, long forms, etc. But even with a clean background and properly filling out a form, true intentions of a gun cannot be expressed or figured out. Whether for domestic safety precautions or a premeditated mass murder... It could be difficult to prevent and gain knowledge of (of intentions).

I agree with the advertisements. If guns are illegal, people are going to find a way to get them. People get illegal drugs everyday. It's the people that kill, not the guns. If guns are illegal, the wrong people will get a hold of them. Taking guns away will not solve anything.

I definitely agree with the pictures. Making assault weapons illegal won't stop all the violence in America; it might just increase it. Gun controls should be regulated but guns should not be exterminated entirely. It is like marijuana illegal; people are still going to do it no matter what. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

I don't think guns are the problem. Its the person using the gun that causes the problem. They should limited who should be able to use and purchase one.

I agree with the pictures and advertisements. Making guns illegal will not solve any problems. If someone wants to purchase a gun they will find a way to get one in their hands. America should focus more on the mentally disturbed people. It is the psycho people in the world that are the danger, not the guns. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

The guns aren't the problem it's the people. The advertisements are very true. I don’t think the proper way to fight violence is with violence. I think the proper way is to educate people about guns and the ways we can use them properly.

Guns are NOT the problem in America. It is the people! If you want to have stricter gun laws, make an extensive background check and I.D. check on the person buying a gun (even at a gun show!). I have many guns and do not think that they are a problem. but just because I have guns doesn't mean I'm going to go shoot up a school or a mall or anywhere at all! Gun owners are not psychopaths. Here in the south, pretty much everyone owns a gun. The use of the gun is different, like some people hunt or others target practice. Personally, I do both. There is nothing wrong with owning a gun. But there should be stricter laws about who can buy them.

I agree with the pictures. Making guns illegal is pointless. Weed is illegal and that is still on the streets. What's the difference? Nothing.

Breanna said...

I completely agree with the picture. We have argued again and again about what to do with gun. Well drugs are illegal and you see everyone doing them so making guns illegal won't keep them off the streets there is tons of ways you can get your hands on a gun. My dad is a hunter and making them illegal to some and not to others definitely won't work because someone that can get the gun can just give it to someone that doesn't need one.

Kellie Matthews said...

These are completely right. To me, gun control is pointless. I think there should be bullet control. Every bullet should be $5,000. That way if someone wants to shoot another person, they will think twice.

This picture is true. Making them illegal isn't going to take them off the street. If people want a gun they will find a way to get one. It's the people we need to fix. Guns are not the problem, they just help the problem, people, to finish what they want to do.

Hunter Dixon said...

I also agree with this picture. If you make guns illegal they will still be on the streets. people will find ways to keep making them.

Kelsey Taylor said...

I think gun control is stupid. If some crazy person wants to get a gun theyre going to. You can't stop them from doing so. I think they need to just make them harder to get.

Tyler R said...

Guns don't kill people. People kill people. The ads are dumb. You can't make it illegal its the second amendment. Right to bare arms. Good luck taking them off the streets. I see them everyday in the streets.

Chantel :) said...

This advertisements makes little sense to me. They might think that they have banned guns and everything but they are still on the streets, people are still going to get them, some way somehow.

Cass C said...

I agree with the pictures. No matter what kind of law there is banning guns, they're not going to go away. Guns aren't the problem, its the lunatics using them.

Abby Haring said...

We have guns to protect ourselves and other. To make guns illegal is pure murder. Just like marijuana is illegal but people still get a hold of that. If we ban guns then China and all the other huge countries that have them would ultimately over power us. I think there should be an age restriction and background checks on people who would receive guns. Are they going to ban forks next for being to sharp... What has this world come to.

I don't think guns should be illegal.Guns should be illegal in the wrong peoples hands.Because There a right to bear arms.

Guns shouldn't be banned because people kill people guns can't physically kill people. Banning guns wont fix anything because they have banned drugs but people still do it so its not gonna stop people from owning guns.

Jordan said...

The crazy people that use the guns are the problem. Making them illegal wont stop them from harming others. They need to educate people at a young age on how violent guns really are. If guns are illegal how will I be able to protect myself if someone comes into my house trying to harm me.

Here's my position on gun control: I am completely against any type of regulation of guns where they physically take the guns out of citizen's hands. I am however, completely in support of the current proposed idea in Washington, which is putting more strict background checks on people who try to purchase any type of guns. I say this because I feel like they are to lenient on checking up behind someone who wants to buy a gun. I feel that people who have psychological issues should not be allowed to own a gun, because most of the time these are the people that end up shooting up schools, like Virginia Tech, and Sandy Hook. I also feel that it would be beneficial if our government would stop spending money towards removing guns from the people's hands, and putting that money towards better regulations on Mental Health Facilities and Mental Health Documentation. I feel as if there are too many mentally unstable people in the United States, and people don't even know said people aren't mentally sound. I think Physicians should do more mental health checks at regular check-up appointments on kids, starting at a younger age. This would help to find those people who are mentally unstable, later in life when they are trying to buy a gun.
