I say this because this was the only cab company that picked up the phone

He definitely should have been fired. You should not use words like that, especially not on a news show. He's a good anchorman though. He may get another opportunity though. There is so much to be learned from this man's mistake. Like for instance, watch your mouth and be aware of what is going on around you.
Even if he has a great resume. It was up to the integrity and reputation of the news station to keep or get rid of him. They have an image to kep up and with words like that being randomly thrown out (even as an accident), it makes the station look bad to keep him. Keeping him would mean that they do not care about words like that being said. Getting rid of him, meant that they care about how the viewers view it. With less viewers, the news station may go under. It was merely just business.
It was a little overboard to fire him for letting a few words slip when he didn't even know he was on air. Nobody was affected by a small amount of language no matter how much they pretend to be. He still did a good job as an anchorman and bounced back. I could see him getting more opportunities. He can learn to compose himself better in the future and make sure they are not on air.
I don't think he should be fired. He is a good anchorman and everyone curses. People need to stop getting so butt hurt over stupid things like that. Hearing the f-bomb isn't going to kill you.

He should absolutely have been fired. To keep the reputation of the news station, they had to do what they had to do. I think as an anchorman, he's good and deserves a second chance somewhere else. If he has a good resume, he should be able to get a news anchor job somewhere else. The lesson that he can learn from this is that when he is in the news room, he needs to filter his mouth whether or not he is on air.
I feel bad for the poor kid, he was new. I think he would make a good anchorman who does deserve a second chance. I hope that this guy gets another opportunity in the near future. He was nervous because he is a rookie and nervous he would mess up. He can learn from his mistakes by watching what comes out of his mouth.
I think that it was taken a little to far for them to fire this news anchor. I believe they should let him have a second chance, it was a slip of words that he said and he knows he shouldn't have said it. Most likely he will get a job in the near future, but probably not a news anchor. Never cuss on live television.
I don't think he should be fired. Everybody curses once in a while, most of the time its on accident. Yes it can ruin the news channels reputation but I still think they could've kept him. I'm pretty sure he'll find another job soon.

He should've been fired because he shouldn't have said those words on live TV. I believe in second chances so hopefully maybe another station will hire him. People forgive and forget so I think he will get an opportunity in the future. I learned from this video is watch what you said to your fellow workers and boss.
If it was his first day on the job they should have helped him out a little. I would understand why they fired him but still, it was his first time. I would have probably messed up a little. Practice makes perfect.

AJ should have been fired from that particular station. He said words that aren't allowed on air, so he has to face the consequences. I do believe that everyone makes mistakes and deserves a second chances. AJ is an awesome anchorman and he will probably get some job offers in the near future. The lesson that can be learned from this man's mistake is to be more aware of one's surroundings.
Since it was his first day on the job, they should've helped him out a little. It's understandable that they fired him, but still. He should get a second chance, because everyone screws up sometimes.

I think this is a rookie mistake. It's actually the producers fault since there was no cue. You can't expect to start 30 seconds early because they weren't aware. I feel like he should be given a second chance.

I don't think he should have been fired. It is the news people's fault for not telling him. I do think he will get another job because he made the mistake he will be extra careful to not make it again. You can learn from this situation to always be aware of your surroundings.
