As I have gone alone in thereAnd with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.
Begin it where warm waters halt
And take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.
From there it’s no place for the meek,
The end is drawing ever nigh;
There’ll be no paddle up your creek,
Just heavy loads and water high.
If you’ve been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, your quest to cease

So... does anyone want to go to New Mexico with me this weekend? Would you be up for a little treasure hunting? Which would be worth more to you, the thrill of the hunt or the enjoyment of the riches? Do you think this man is crazy for giving away his treasure? How long do you think it will take for someone to find it? If you found it, would you tell anyone?

I would go to New Mexico if I thought I could find treasure before the other thousands of people. Finding the treasure would be a better moment than using it. Everyone would know if I had it. I would be yelling to anyone I could see.
It would be fun to search for some hidden treasure. The enjoyment of the riches would be worth more to me. I don't think this man is crazy for giving his fortune away because he thought he wasn't going to live much longer. I'm not sure how long it will take for someone to figure out where the treasure is hidden. If I found the treasure, I wouldn't tell anyone right away. I would let people continue searching for the treasure, while I enjoy my riches.
If I have the funds to travel to New Mexico, I would definitely try to find Fenn's treasure. I, personally, would enjoy the riches more than the hunt. I don't think Fenn is crazy for giving away his treasure, especially since he was dying. I do think he is a trustworthy man for making the decision to keep the treasure buried even after he was cancer free. It will probably take years for someone to find this well-hidden treasure. If I was to find this treasure, I wouldn't tell anyone. Having that kind of wealth makes someone a target, just like winning the lottery does. I would rather stay anonymous than have a huge target on my back.
I'll go as long we can go shopping afterwards! It would be awesome to go treasure hunting! The enjoyment of the riches would be worth more to me because it would allow me to buy the things I've always wanted. It will take awhile but if you really want something, don't give up. This man isn't crazy, he likes for other people to share what he had! If I found this I would probably tell my family but not sure if I would share.
Treasure hunting sounds like such a thrill to me. The hunt would be more thrilling than spending the riches because of the build up of anxiety and adrenaline while searching for the chest. This man isn't crazy. I think he had a deeper meaning behind hiding the treasure than just allowing someone to find it. His whole point in hiding it is to allow people to experience the adventure. It may take a couple more months for someone to find it or it may never be found. It is hard to tell. If I found it, I wouldn't tell anyone. That could put my life in danger! There are crazy people in the world.

I would love to go to New Mexico and go treasure hunting. I think the thrill of the hunt would mean a little more to me than using it. Although I would enjoy all that money. Honestly, I think that man is crazy for giving it up. I think it might be awhile until someone finds it, he sounds like he hid it in a good spot. But if I found the treasure, everyone would know.
I would have a blast searching for this treasure! The enjoyment of the riches would be worth more to me but I would be so excited to search for the treasure. It is crazy that this man is giving this treasure away but if he won't be there anymore might as well let someone else have it. I have no idea how long it will take for someone to find it, just depends on how well he hid the treasure. If I found the treasure I wouldn't tell anyone right away I would just wait a while.
I'll go to New Mexico with you! Treasure hunting seems like a great idea and I would be very willing to go. I think both the thrill and finding it would be very exciting. I don't think that he is crazy, but I do think that he is pretty cool for what he has done. If I found it, I wouldn't tell a soul. People would be swarming me and maybe some would even try to kill me for my newly acquired fortune.
I would not go looking for the chest. I'm terrible at looking for things, so it would take me forever to fined it. It's a waist of time if you ask me because, it's going to be extremely hard to find.But if I was the man that hid the chest I would go get the chest. TO use the money for the things that I think are important in life.

Sure thing! Let's go to New Mexico! I'd love to go an adventure, decipher clues, and find treasure no one else could! It would be worth so much to me because I would enjoy the thrill of the hunt, the reward would be of no matter to me! I think the man is a bit insane, but his heart was in the right place. He just wanted to give people a new sense of adventure! I personally think people may not even find it! The man is obviously very clever. I think that if I found it, I would tell someone. But I wouldn't keep the money. I'd probably use it for the good of others. :)
I would never want to be rich. I want to have money but not rich. The thrill would be better than the riches, to me, because everything is not about money. The man should of gave it to a cause or charity. It would probably take them a year or so to find this because I am sure he did not make this easy to find. I do not think I would tell anybody because I would think that somebody would come rob me or do something that would hurt me.
If I had a way to go to New Mexico I would definitely go with no questions asked. Like most people I would enjoy the riches more than the hunting. Using the the clues that he has given I think somebody will find it soon since there is a 1,000 people looking. If I were to find it my mouth would run just like water I know I wouldn't be able to hold it, I would just have to tell somebody !
I would hunt for the treasure, if I was into that kind of stuff. Call me crazy, but I don't really care much for treasure hunting, no matter how much of a fortune it's worth. The thrill of finding the treasure would be worth more. If I found it, I wouldn't tell anyone. It would be a major Troll moment, and something I could sit back and laugh at.

I would love to travel to New Mexico to go treasure hunting. Knowing my luck, I wouldn't find the 42lb chest. If the odds would be in my favor, I wouldn't be able to keep the secret to myself. Even if I didn't find any treasures, the experience would be worth the trip. The man's actions have brought thrill and excitement to the people hunting for the treasure. He is not crazy for giving away his treasures, he just did what the average person wouldn't have the heart and generosity to do.

I would go on this treasure hunt adventure. The thrill of the hunt would be the most enjoyable to me. Actually finding the riches would be the icing on the cake. I do think, however, that it would've been interesting for there to be more than one box, that way more than one family can gain the benefits and share the wealth. I would totally be down with going treasure hunting, it's a delightful experience. I think the enjoyment of the riches would be the best, because I'm not a major spender, I don't want a giant house or anything, maybe a nice car, like a Jetta or something, so the money would last me a while. I think this guy is awesome for this, he sounds like my kinda friend: Crazy, whimsical, and if he's like me, a bit of a troll. It might take people a while to find the chest though, seeing as it's been almost 3 years. And if I found it, I wouldn't tell anyone until AFTER I've cashed it in
I would probably enjoy being rich more than looking for it. I don't think this man is crazy. If I was rich and going to die, why not put it in a chest and hind it. I think it is very creative way to get rid of your money. If I found it I would tell the whole world. I would probably be a lead up on this story on the today show. I would share it with my family. I think the man is going to die before anyone finds it. I bet it will be like a hundred years from now.
I wouldnt go looking for the chest. It would take time because it going to be hard to find.But if I was the person that hid it I would go get back and get it.

I would so go treasure hunting. I don't know what would be more exciting the riches itself or the hunt. It would probably take a while before someone found the treasure. If I found the treasure I'd only tell one person, my best friend Amanda, so we could share it.

I would go to New Mexico. I could be up for a litte treasure hunting. It would be worth more to me to get the riches. I don't think he is crazy. It would maybe take a week or more. I wouldn't tell anyone.
I would love to go treasure hunting. But you have to think, there are already thousands of people searching for it, so why would I have a better chance of finding it than they do? To me, finding the treasure and enjoying the riches would both be equally exciting. I would use the money to pay for college, or do something important with it, not waste it. I'm not sure if I would announce the find, but even if I didn't word would somehow get out.
I'm down to go to New Mexico. The poem is easily interpreted and it tells exactly where the treasure is located. Unfortunately I'm not going to share the location with anyone. If Mrs. Bryant is paying for the plane tickets I'm down. Good luck finding the treasure.
I would go and find treasure in Mexico. But I would not give it to anybody. Or let them know. Because they'd be begging for some. I might give it to a charity or a friend that needs it.
I think I would enjoy both trying to find it and finding it. I would be lying if I said I wouldn't enjoy the riches. I wouldn't let it change me like most people do when they get rich and maybe use some of it to put somewhere for someone to find.

I think i would enjoy the riches more than anything. I do think this man is crazy for giving away all that money, i know if i had it i wouldn't give it away to just anybody. Its going to take a long time for somebody to find out where its hidden. If i found it i wouldnt tell anybody, id keep it to myself.
I wouldn't go to New Mexico because if all those people have gone to try to find it and didn't find it, it must be really hidden well which means I probably wouldn't find it either. I think looking for it would be fun but I think traveling and taking an adventure would be a lot more fun. I don’t think he is crazy because there is a lot of thieves and with something like that, that is worth so much I would hide it too. If I found it I probably would tell the guy and thank him and probably share with him since it was once his and he kept his word even after he was cancer free.

I dont think he is crazy, the man probably just wanted a cool way to get rid of his money. It's prbably gonna take a long time for someone to find the treasure. I would go! There might be alot of searching but thats the fun part of it all. Honestly I would say both , you would be having fun with your friends and the treasure. I would go if I thought I could find it. Which I probably wouldn't find it unless I had clues. I would tell my boyfriend and parents and brother that's it, because if you tell other people,people that don't even talk to you nor your friend will become your best friend just to get some of your find.

I would love to escape to New Mexico this weekend before all this snow is suppose to happen! I think treasure hunting would be an awesome experience. I would enjoy the thrill of the hunt but I wouldn't be complaining if we found the treasure too. There is no telling how long it will take to find it. If I had found the treasure I would only tell the man he buried it and no one else.
