Describe your reaction to the video.  Do you agree that the "violator" should be punished?  Is yelling, "Bingo!" in a bingo hall equivalent to yelling "Fire!" in a public place?  Is this something you could see yourself doing?  Could you go an entire 6 months without saying a forbidden word, or would you cheat?

I don't think he should be punished. It was a joke in a bingo hall. It's nothing like yelling "Fire!" in a crowded area. I could see myself doing this but, I don't know now old people are feisty. I just want to know how they're going to monitor him and prevent him from saying "bingo."

People are just ridiculous sometimes. If someone yelling bingo bothers you that much then you need to just get over it. There are much bigger things to worry about. A fire could hurt you. Bingo will not do anything and if someone else gets bingo it won't affect you. I probably couldn't go 3 days without saying to someone who wouldn't say anything.

I think it is messed up that he got arrested. He shouldn't be punished. It isn't anything like yelling "fire". I could do that. I would surely cheat.

This is stupid. I don't even think I can call him a violator. Yelling bingo in a bingo hall is acceptable. Just because some grannies couldn't keep it together, doesn't change that this is hilarious. I would totally do that! If I had to though, I would definitely be able to go for 6 months without saying a word.

He shouldn't be punished for something as stupid as this. Yelling "Bingo!" and yelling "Fire!" in a public place are not the same. This something I could see myself doing with some friends as a joke. I could not go an entire 6 months without saying a forbidden word.

No, I think this is just ridiculous for someone to be punished like this for just yelling out BINGO! Yes, it would be considered the same as doing that. Yes, I do see myself doing this but I wouldn't think of being arrested for it. I would definitely cheat!

I do not think that he should really even be punished. Saying the word "Bingo" is as harmless as stopping at a stop sign. I don't understand why the police officer would instantly put him in handcuffs rather than ask him to leave the Bingo Hall. I would probably do that myself. It depends on what the word is as to whether I would be able to say it or not. if the word was "the" I don't know if there was a way that I couldn't say it.

This video is crazy! The "violator" should not of got punished. I would never do this because its kinda rude. If I had to go six months with out saying on word,I would die. I would want to say it just because I couldn't.

90 days in jail and a $250 fine is a bit ridiculous. I don't think he should be punished. Yes, it would be the same as yelling "fire!" I don't think I would yell Bingo. I would probably cheat.

This is so stupid! A small prank is a small prank. Forbidding the word "Bingo"? Yeah, because there is someone always on watch making sure he doesn't say that word for six months. Come on!!! There are people killing others and authorities can't track them down and have them punished, but yeah, lets get this kid!!! There needs to be a refocus. Being punished a little is understandable when having yelled "fire" in a public place, that puts everyone around you in alarm mode. But bingo... nuh uh! Forbidden to say the word "bingo" for a whole six months, I would cheat. I probably haven't said that word in at least six months anyway, but just because I knew I wasn't allowed to say a word, I think I would do it anyway.

I don't see why the "violator" was arrested. I know old ladies take their Bingo seriously, but they should have been excited that no one had Bingo! I don't think yelling "Bingo!" in a bingo hall is the same as yelling "Fire!" in a public place. I think it's funny how he is not allowed to say "Bingo" for an entire 6 months; that is just crazy. It shouldn't be that hard, though, because who says bingo on an everyday basis?

That is the most craziest thing I've ever heard of. Like seriously you get arrested for yelling bingo at the wrong time in a bingo hall. I swear people are getting arrested for the stupidest things nowadays. The violator shouldn't be punished at all and I now I couldn't go 6 months without saying that word !

Leslee Umphlett said...

The only word that is coming to my mind is wow. I can't believe he got arrested for yelling "bingo!" I don't think that he should be punished for that when there are bigger crimes that people should be arrested for. Yelling "bingo!" in a bingo hall is nothing like yelling "fire!" when there is no fire. Bingo is a game, while a fire is something serious. I probably wouldn't do this just because I know how crazy old people get over their bingo games. I couldn't go six months without saying a forbidden word, I would slip up more than half the time.

He definitely should not be punished. I wouldn't even call him a violator for doing something this small. Yelling Bingo in a bingo hall is far different from yelling Fire in a crowded room. I wouldn't do something like this. I probably would say the word bingo.

People are stupid sometimes. He shouldn't be punished for it. I wouldn't do it myself, just because I'm not interested in it. I could go 6 months without saying a forbidden word. But I would also cheat by writing or typing it. BINGO! Get at me, old people!

Raegan Hasty said...

Yelling "BINGO," should not be considered a violation. Saying "Fire!" in a public place is different than saying "BINGO" in a bingo hall. Fire is a hazard and a lot more serious than a bingo game. If couldn't go an entire 6 months without saying a forbidden word.

This is funny. There was no reason to take him to court for yelling bingo. If they arrested him for that then, you can get arrested for anything. I would do the samething he did in that situation. I could not go six months with out saying a forbidden word.

I think that it's ridiculous that he would get arrested for that. Saying bingo is a completely harmless, although jerk-like, thing to do. People get less time for having drugs on them than that!

Ashlyn Archer said...

No he should have not been punished. No, he was yelling Bingo to be funny. I would do this but only as a joke not to get punished. I would say the forbidden word cause it's stupid to get punished for it.

This is absurd and stupid. It goes to show how serious old ladies get. I do however think the teen should get arrested, because hes too stupid to pronounce bingo backwards. It's definitely not o-bing. Idiot.

Tyler R said...

Yes, I do agree because I would be mad if he said it. It is a little equivalent but, not as much. No I wouldn't do it becuase my great grandma would get after me, even though she cheats. I would cheat if I was forbidden to say a word.

Jordan said...

This is dumb, yelling "BINGO" when you dont have it is not a crime. These old folks take it too serious, but its not that big of a deal. I dont think i'd do that because that could ruin someones fun. Yes, I could probably go without saying it, its not a word I regularly use.

Abby Haring said...

This is ridiculous!!!!! I don't agree this that the violator should be punished. No if yelling Bingo is as serious as yelling fire then why are people still allowed to play the game? I couldn't see myself doing this because of all this stuff happened to him. I'm pretty sure if I was not allowed near the bingo hall then I would be able to go 6 months without saying the world bingo.

Cass C said...

I think its stupid he got in trouble for this. Yelling "Bingo" in a bingo hall is nothing like yelling "Fire" in a public place. I think i could go 6 months without saying a certain word, i wouldn't have to cheat.

Kellie Matthews said...

Honestly I don't he should really be punished. These ladies take bingo really seriously and he shouldn't have done it, but there shouldn't be serious punishment. I couldn't see myself doing something like that. There was really no point for doing that.

Kelsey Taylor said...

I think this is so stupid. I would say the word anyways because its freedom of speech. He can say anything he wants to. So he shouldn't have even gotten punished for that.

I think this is ridiculous. It's so funny that he can't say bingo. Some old ladies and their bingo obsessions are so funny. I would never do this by myself, but I would go with someone and watch them do it. If I was there I would have laughed so hard. I don't think that it is as bad as yelling "fire." This is so funny.

April said...

This video is pointless. I disagree with the punishment. Yelling Bingo is not equivalent to yelling "Fire" in a public place. Its just yelling bingo. There is no big deal. I could see me and my friend doing this. I would go as long as i can without saying it but i would just forget about it and just say it. I wouldnt care either.

Breanna said...

I don't think that he should be punished. To the old ladies it is serious so when he yelled out "Bingo!" they probably thought it was yelling "Fire!" in a theater but to a lot of younger people it is pretty stupid. If it was a world that I don't use very often like "bingo" I could probably go six months without saying it but if it was a word I used a lot I would probably just have to get in trouble.

I think this is ridiculous. Yes very similar. I would never do this , its wrong and and rude. I honestly don't know.

Hunter Alexander said...

That is stupid. He shouldn't be punished, he should just be told not to do it. In that situation, yelling fire in a public place is just like yelling bingo in a bingo hall. I couldn't see my self doing this. I couldn't go entire 6 months with out saying a forbidden word. I will say what I want.
