What were your thoughts when you first heard about the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut? Do you think this tragedy will lead to stricter gun laws? Should this tragedy lead to stricter gun laws? Do you think there's anything Windsor High School should do to make our school safer?

My though's were who would do that. I don't think it will lead to stricter gun laws.
This is a really sad tragedy. My condolences to all the families who lost a child. But stuff like this happens all over the world, and worse in some places. I don't this had to do with stricter gun laws. Guns don't kill people. People kill people. It's more protection to as what and who goes into the school.

I actually really wanted to cry. It's just so sad that someone has to go to an elementary school and shoot little kids. I hope this makes stricter gun laws and I think it really should. I think we should get more cops and really watch who comes in threw the front door.

When I first heard about the shooting my heart was just sadly broken for all the children and their family members. My prayers and thoughts go out to all the teachers and children who lost a loved one, or was a witness to the tragedy. I think the shooting of the innocent elementary children will lead to stricter gun laws, considering the amount of young innocent lives that were taken. Here at Windsor High School I don't believe we have such cases where a student breaks out in a violent rage, but I guess we could hire an extra cop and start being more open about safety per-cautions.

I was sad. I cant believe anyone could kill 20 little children. I dont think stricter gun laws would help anything. Anyone can get a gun legal or illegal. Windsor and every other school could get medal detectors from preventing someone with guns to get in
I was shocked. I couldn't believe that 27 people were shot at an elementary school. I think this tragedy will lead to stricter gun laws, but I still do believe guns don't kill people, people kill people. I did hear he was autistic, but I'm still confused on how he got ahold of the gun. I honestly don't think there is anything Windsor High School could do to make it safer except to bring in more officers. This tragedy could happen anywhere.
When i heard this i didnt really register what the severity was untill i got home and saw who the victims were. And when i understood fully, I felt so angry, so sad, and everything in between. I dont think more gun laws would fix this problem. It's the people who act on those impulses to do harm, and what tools they use.

Its truly sad.. When I first heard about it , I really did want to cry. I have a seven year old brother and thinking that little kids just his age were killed is heartbreaking. They had there whole life ahead of them, I couldn't imagine being one of the parents... thinking it's just a normal friday and a weekend ahead with there children. Now they have to go everyday without them. Stricter gun laws won't do anything people are just mentally crazy in the head. I'm not really sure if theres anything that could be done to make WHS safer ...
