What do you think of Oxford American Dictionary's word of the year? Are there any words on their list of possibilities that you haven't heard of? If so, what? What would your choice be for word of the year and why? :)

This word doesn't make sense to me and I will probably never use it. I have heard of all the words on the list, just don't use them. I don't think I am creative enough to make up a new word.

No I'm not gonna use this word. I would say yolo before I say some GIF. I haven't really heard all the words on this list and I'm not likely to use them anyways.

I think Oxford American Dictionary's word of the year is pretty interesting. I don't think there is any words that I haven't heard of yet that have been added to the list. I'm not sure what word I would choose for the word of the year, that's something I would have to look further into.

I think this is a waste of time; our society today should have better things to invest their time in then a word of the year. GIF, I dont believe should be a word; it's more of a short hand for a word. Nomophobia is a word I've never heard of before, sounds pretty stupid as do all the others. If I could have my choice of a word of the year it would be Jesse: Perfectly wonderful; fine and genuine.

GIF. I never thought of it as a word before. Dont get me wrong, I knew it stood for something, just didnt know it was a word itself. And i hate everyone at oxford for having yolo even mentioned. HOLY CRAP, do i wann beat some sense into everyone who says it. Word of the the year should be Apocalypse. or Doomed. or...Screwed.

I have never heard of GIF and I don't think it should have been Oxford American Dictionary's word of the year. I have never heard of Higgs boson or Nomophobia. I think YOLO should have been the Dictionary's word of the year because it seems like it was the most used saying this year.
The word is very very stupid. The only word i have heard before on that list is YOLO. Everyone says YOLO even though it's so last year. If i had to choose a word it would be LMAO. Everyone should know what that word means.

I haven't heard the word GIF before... and I don't think it should be the word of the year. Most people haven't even heard it. Yolo should have won, not this one.
