My one thought while reading this article on Pearl Harbor was that it was an awful event that took place. And I really want to go visit the memorial in Hawaii.
This is a very important day to remember. We should remember those who lost their lives on this day. This day should always be remembered because it it is important to American history.
I’m glad we honor this day. It shows how powerful our nation really is. We took on an unexpected attack and won. Looking through the pictures and seeing the movie really makes me realize that any country can do anything at any given moment and we just have to be ready for it. It also makes me think how lucky I am to live in a free country where I’m protected.
It’s sad because the survivors have to live with that the rest of their lives. They have too many bad memories from that day. Families lost family members from that attack. I would not want to have that happen again.
My thought on this article was that Pearl Harbor was one of the most devestating attacks on the U.S. I really want to go visit the memorial and pay my respects to the people that were lost on that dreadful day.
My one thought while reading this article was tragic! This event was very horrifying and upsetting! I would love to go and visit the memorial that they have in Hawaii!
We should thank of this day for ever and remember all of those how died in this war and who fought in that war. And remember the people that are still alive to day to tell us about that day and what happened. By Stephanie Phelps
Seventy years ago, America witnessed “a date which will live in infamy” and we continue to remember it today. Seeing the difference between the satellite images from 1941 and 2011 is shocking to know that so much has been restored in that amount of time. If you just look at the 2011 picture, you wouldn’t know that Pearl Harbor was ever attacked. Pictures like these truly show America’s strength and power. It’s good to know that our country can bounce back from even the worst attacks like Pearl Harbor and 9/11.

This Day will Truly live in infamy. Pearl harbor was one of the most darkest days of us history.
keith Bryant: why would they sink the ship? Why not just leave it afloat for tours and to honor it.
