Describe your reaction to the story. Can you think of any reasons why the shooter might have done what he did? If you were accepted to VT, would this deter you from attending the university? Why or why not?

This story is scary because they’ve already had a shooting there. I cant think of any reason why the shooter would do that. I would deter from attending VT because someone could go on a rampage and shoot people.
This is Crazy. No, I can not think of any reason why the shooter would have done thins. And Yes, this would change my opinion of the school as did the shooting before. This is crazy there is so many shootings going on at this school. I would not want to attend a school with all of these shootings.
My reaction to this is, to much goes on with VT. I feel bad for the people who go there because they have to all go through this, not knowing if it will be them next. I don't want to attend this school because of all the problems with shooting; so yes that does effect my decision.
I thought this was a major tragedy. They said the shooter had no connection to the campus so I am not sure why he would have done this. If I got accepted at VT I would probably still go because its still a great college to go to.
My reaction to this story is like “ what agen ”. I really want to know why he did it I mean going up and shooting a cop what was he thanking. I thank that I would still go to VT but I would be looking over my shoulder.

I was surprised when I heard that this happened, but it seemed kind of familiar. I can't think of any reasons why the shooter may have done this. This could possibly deter me from attending this university. Starting with 2007 many things have been happening to this university.
My first reaction to the Virginia Tech shooting was disbelief. I can’t believe they had ANOTHER shooting at the same college just within four years. I don’t know what could possibly be the shooter’s motive but then again, there’s never an acceptable motive for someone to shoot someone else. If I was accepted to Virginia Tech, I would definitely have to consider the fact that they have had two shootings recently. I don’t know that it would completely change my decision on whether to attend or not, but it would definitely affect how safe I would feel while on campus.
I wasn't that surprised. I don't know why he decided to do it and nobody will. No, I would still go, but it would be a lil' sketchy.
i think its crazy that a shooting happened at VT again. i have no idea why he would shot someone. he might have something wrong with him. or he could just not care. I would still go to VT its still a great school.
It sucks that another shooting has occurred at VT. I rally can't imagagine why someone would want to do that; Maybe it was an enemy of the officer, but I sitll can't fathom why that person would do what they did. I like VT, but I wouldn't attend it.
My reaction is very indescribable, like why would people want to do such a thing, I don’t understand why but I mean it must been something then he ended up killing himself. I wanted to attend Virginia Tech so bad but the first incident they had kind of made me not want to attend there any more but now this I don’t know it all depends on how things change but it seems as Virginia Tech just gets worse maybe one day things will get better
I think that it is horrific that a ransom person walked up to an officer an shot him. I think that he did it just to get in the news. Yes I might be hesitant about attending the university. Because of the shootings they may happen again.
My reaction to this story is that it is a very sad situation that the officer was killed by the gunman. He might have done this to the officer, because they might of had a feud going on between them and he decided to end it. If I were accepted to VT I would still go, because it is a good school and a situation like this is scary, but it wont get in the way of my education.
I think this was just crazy. There was no reason for the gunman to randomly shoot a policeman doing a routine traffic stop. I most likely would go, I would just watch my back.
When I heard that there was another shooting, I was shocked and curious about the details, but at the same time I sort of felt like “oh, here we go again.” I don’t mean that in a bad way, but it seems that people just go out of their way these days all to get attention or hurt somebody. I can’t wrap my head around how people get up and do these things and it’s scary that it’s becoming a pattern I guess you could say. I’ve never been a big fan of Tech, but I wouldn’t want to see a great school go down hill because people lose interest. I always thought it was crazy how one or two people could ruin something for everyone, like the schools’ reputation, but it’s happening and it’s happening on a day to day basis.
