Do you think television shows accurately depict today's teenager, male and female? Why or why not? Do you think television shows such as 90210, Gossip Girl, and 16 and Pregnant bring out negative behavior in teenagers that wouldn't exist otherwise? Why or why not? Many people say that your high-school years are the best years of your life. What is your response or reaction to that statement?

I do not think that television shows accurately depict today’s teenager male or female because it shows the bad part of them instead of the good part. I think that the shows 90210, Gossip Girl, and 16 and Pregnant brings out the responsibility that you will have to have you if you have unprotected sex and end up getting pregnant. I think it just tries to show you to wait before you make a decision that you will regret. I think it is because you start to learn about love and relationships and everything you will need to know in the long run to make your relationships last long.
I think they do depict today’s teenagers. They learn from what they watch on television and their friends. I think those shows do bring out negative behavior in teens that wouldn’t exist other wise. Watching television like 90210 and 16 and pregnant would make other girls want to get pregnant. I think your high school years are the best years of your life. It all can change if you get pregnant and have a child. Many teens these days think it’s cool to get pregnant. Not many teens think it’s a challenge to take care of a child.
The TV shows today show only a little of teenagers lives. Those shows do not bring out the negative behavior in girls. High school can be the best years in your life or the worst years of your life. The way you act and what you do describes yourself in high school. If you make all the wrong choices in school, those years could be the worst years ever. If you make the right choices during high school, it could be a blast. Its what you do that determines what happens in high school. Those shows that include all that drama and stuff, forget about it. Don't make those choices and become one of them.
I think that it shows only a little of how females are. I think it does bring out negative behavior in some girls. If they did not watch these shows they would not be like that. I have had some fun times in High school and I think that is a fairly accurate statement.
I believe television shows today accurately depict teenagers, I say this because young teenagers today may watch this type of shows and they probably want to try and do the things some celebrities do, I don't think they bring out negative behavior in some of our kids these days but at the same time they may influence some kids do to the wrong thing but then that's when a teenager should be able to handle there own actions. Yes High school should be your best year of your life and you make it to also it should be your wake up to your adult life to because at the end of your high school year you should be ready to step out in the real world.
I think that TV shows kind of what life as a teenager is it says that all teenagers are sex crazed I don’t think all are but most are. Not every teen goes out and gets pregnant. Yes I do think that those shows make teens look bad it gives the teens that are good a bad reputation. High school is what you make it bad or good. If you live your life to the fullest then its good but if you’re always depressed then your time in high school will be miserable.
I think the shows do accurately depict the teenagers today. The shows show both the good and bad things that we do. I don't think high school is the best years of your life it is only four years. So the next 60 are going to be bad?
I don't think Television shows show how teenagers are today. Most shows are about rich girls who go out and crave attention from boys. Yes some girls are like that but most definitely not all of them are. But that’s what American’s enjoy watching. It's like drama amuses everyone. I don't think 90210 is as bad as Gossip Girl. With Gossip Girl there’s not an episode that there’s not drinking or sexual behaviors. I think 16 and Pregnant isn't a good show to have on just because young girls think that if they get pregnant then maybe they can be on TV too and get rich. Teenage pregnancy is not something that needs to be advertised. I think high school years can be the best years of your life, but it depends on what you make of them.
No I do not thank teenage girls are accurately showed as teenage girls on TV. Because they are people that are acting and maybe some girls are like that but look at the girls that aren’t. And yes I do thank that TV show like 16 and pregnant do bring a negative effect. Like look at all the kids that are in high school that is pregnant they are 2 young and don’t even know what to do whit him or her.

In a way I do think that television shows accurately depict today's teenager, both male and female. In another way, most television shows either show privileged teens or pregnant teens. They do not depict the "average" teen. Yes, I do think television shows like 90210, Gossip Girl, and 16 and Pregnant bring out the negative behavior in teenagers. Those shows only show that teenagers can have sex, party, and be parents. They don't show how teenagers can be good. That's totally true. Your high school years ARE the best years of your life. You learn so much about whom you are, who your true friends are, how you will react to different situations, and the amount of fun and hurt you will experience throughout those 4 years of high school before you get into the real world.
No, I do not think that these shows show how teens really are for the females at least guys they seem to do a pretty good job on explaining. Yes, I do think they bring out the negative behavior if they see these girls on 16 and pregnant having a child and still doing what they want to do and just pushing the child to there parents they think its okay which it is not. I think your high school years are they best and the worst, The best because your having fun care free and just enjoying life but also the worst because you are being pushed into tough decisions and have a lot of pressure to decide the "right" path.
