What did you think of the video? How would your reaction to hearing for the FIRST time compare to that of the woman in the video? Why do you think this video is such a YouTube sensation? If you had to go without one of the 5 major senses, which would it be and why?

I thought the video was amazing. I would start to cry and maybe scream. I think that so many people would watch this video because; it is inspirations to deaf people every where. If I had to go without one of my senses I think it would be sight. So many people take sight for granted. People are abused and bullied because of how they look. A lot of people will not date someone because of how they look when the person has a great personality.

I think this video is surprising. I would be surprised if I heard my voice for the first time. I think it’s a you tube video because most people would do things like that when they are younger. If I would go without one would probably be my sense of smell. I can live without smelling things more then I can when it comes to hearing or seeing things.

I thought the video was pretty cool because they found something that could help a deaf person hear there own voice! I think i would be excited and surprised at the same time. I don't know why it's such a sensation. I would want to go without smell because there is so many things that smell horrible.

I thought it was amazing that this lady could hear after being deaf. If it was me I would have reacted probably the same way. If I had to choose on sense to live without it would be feeling. If we didn’t have a sense of feeling then we wouldn’t burn our hands on a hot stove.

This video is extremely emotional and tear-jerking. I can’t imagine hearing my voice for the first time in my life at the age of twenty one. My reaction would’ve been exactly the same as hers, in shock, disbelief and breathtakingly excited. I am truly thankful for being blessed with all five of my senses, but if I had to go without one I would choose my sight. I would give up my sight because people with disabilities tend to grow stronger in a different way because of them, and being unable to see someone allows you to judge them without their outside appearance interfering.

That is the saddest and most remarkable thing. My reaction would definitely be the same, if not having more crying involved. I think this video is such a YouTube sensation because it is very touching and inspiring. If I had to go without one of the five major senses, I think I would rather go without smell. I chose smell because I could not live without tasting what is in my mouth, hearing music that keeps me sane, seeing the beauty in the world, or touch.

I thought the video was really touching. If that was me and I was just hearing for the first time, I would be overjoyed, and I probably would be crying uncontrolablly. This video is probably a YouTube sensation, because it interest people, just like a lot of things on YouTube. However, many people just like her probably watched the video and they could possibly be able to relate to her. If I had to go without one of my senses it would smelling. Just because it's something I could live without and still be able to function properly.

Keith Bryant: This is incredible, more or less ground breaking. I could not physically or mentally imagine the inability to hear. Hearing her fist words was so emotional, that just to think she has never heard any sounds before that very moment. If it were my first time I would not know how to act either scared or very emotional as of her.

I think the video is great. The first time I would hear my voice I would be like wow. I don't know why this is such a big video on Youtube. If I lost one of my senses it would have to be either taste of smell. I would rather have smell than taste. Because of science, It gave this woman back her hearing which is amazing. I hope they do research to unblind people next.

I think that it is amazing that they were able to do this. i think I would have cried to have heard something for the first time when I am that old. I think that it is a hit because there are many people out there with hearing or vision problems, they must think if they could do this then soon they could fix blindness. If I had to go without one of my five senses it would have to be smell. It is not an important sense.

I think this is awesome for someone to be able to hear for the first time in 20 years. My reaction I would probably cry to it would be an amazing experience. I think it’s a YouTube sensation because people love watching miracles at work. If I could go without one sense I don’t know what it would be I don’t want to think about me not being able to do something simple like smelling the food I’m about to eat or seeing the road in front of me.

I couldn't even imagine how tough it would be if I wasn't able to hear. Most of us take our five senses for granted including myself, not knowing how hard it really is not to have them. I think I would react the same way she did, I would cry like a baby as soon as I heard any sound! Not knowing what your family and friend’s voices sounds like and even your own voice, it would be horrible! I think it's a hit on YouTube, because that’s such an improvement in our technology and it has drastically helped people lives. I think if I had to go without any of the five senses it would have to be smell because it doesn’t affect you as bad as the main senses do, such as seeing, hearing, smelling, and speaking.

I think that it’s absolutely amazing and that the advances like these in technology are far more important than a lot of junk that’s made. I can’t really wrap my head around being deaf or blind for so many years and then one day you can hear or see. She seems really happy and that should inspire more people to want to help others who are in this situation but can’t financially have it. I know she must have been ecstatic to hear, not just herself, but her husband and children’s voice for the first time. This is probably such a big hit on YouTube because we hear about new technology everyday almost, but rarely about it helping somebody develop one of their senses back. It’s shocking!

I think the video was inspiring. I would be amazed to be able to hear things for the first time in my life. I would be glad to hear sound. I think this was a youtube sensation because it could give hope to other people who are deaf. Many other deaf people would like to be able to hear sound that others are blessed with. If I had to go without one of my 5 major senses it would have to be the sense of smell. I would choose this because there are some smells that do not smell good.

I think that this video is very amazing and sensitive. My reaction would be almost the same as hers was, very emotional and happy. It is a YouTube sensation because it is very inspirational to watch. If I had to live without one of my senses, it would have to be the sense of smell. Because there are things that shouldn't be smelled in this world.

This Video was very touching to the Heart to me, if it was my first time to hear my own voice I would be very great and happy and cry like she did. I think this video is very inspirational because there are plenty people out there in the world that might be deaf to and her story may influence anybody that is deaf can do it. I think one of my senses I might go out with is my sense of smelling, because I would like to experiment how it would be to go around and can’t smell anything, then time go by and somebody helps you to smell it would be kind of different to experience it
