Which person's story surprised you most? Explain what you think the statement, "if you've never failed, you've never lived" means. Has there been a time when a failure in one area of your life paved the way for success? Why do you think we must fail in order to succeed?
I like Walt Disney's story the best because he has to have a lot of Imagination to come up with all of those characters. I think the expression If you've never failed, you've never lived means the same thing as you don't know what you live for until you lose it.
The story that surprised me the most was The Beetles. I thought they were a good music band and had published many albums and had a great carrier going. I didn’t know that they were turned down by the record deal. The statement “if you never failed, you’ve never lived” means every one fails at something to learn a lesson to make it better. Yes there has been a time in my life were I have failed and I’m glad I did because it has helped me to do much better and put all my effort into my work. We must fail to success because I think it’s the only way we’re going to learn from our mistakes.
The one that surprised me most was Thomas Edison. He was very smart, he invented the light bulb and he was called stupid. It means if you try and fail then you can learn from your mistakes. Yes I have failed before then later succeeded in doing it. Because if you fail you can learn to correct it.
The quote, “if you’ve never failed, you’ve never lived” means to me that failure is a part of life. It is inevitable and as humans we learn from our mistakes. Continuous success is virtually impossible without at least one failure no matter how big or small. There have been times in my life when I have failed, but everything happens for a reason and it will probably turn out to be for the best in the long run. Just like some of the people shown in this video, failure can lead to great success if you let it.
The Person that really surprised me was Abraham Lincoln. He went through so much and still became a important person in history. The statement of if you never failed, you never lived is a very good statement. Life is full of choices and if you don't take some risk in life, then whats the point of even trying. I have many failures but with those I have learned many things. People must fail at everything at least once to learn about it and succeed the next time it happens. If you take risks and it works out it pays off big time.
The persons story that surprised me the most was Thomas Edison's. His story surprised me the most because for a teacher to say that is messed up, most likely made him try harder. The statement "if you've never failed, you've never lived" to me means that you have to learn the hard way sometimes to achieve and be stronger. I think we must fail in order to succeed because, if we didn't fail everything would come to easy for us. As if you failed, then you would learn from your mistakes and move on from them.
The story that surprised was the Beatles. I think everybody fails at some point in their life. Even if you don’t fail at some point you live your life. We fail because we learn from those failures and improve. There has been a time when a failure in my life paved the way to success.
The most one that surprised me was Thomas Edison. like really why would people say such things for , but the statement "if you've never failed , you've never lived means to me is that you have go through trials and tribulations to make it that's just how life is ,
The Beatles' story surprised me because they are still very well known and are still making money to this day. The statement, "if you've never failed, you've never lived" means that in life you will mostly make mistakes and fail before you will succeed. Sometimes the consequences of making mistakes and failing is exactly what the person needs to step it up a notch and better themselves. There has been a time when failure in one area has paved the way for success. If we don't make mistakes, we have nothing to use as a guideline to better ourselves and try again to succeed. That is why we must fail in order to succeed.
I was surprised when I saw that Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. I think failing is a way of going through life and making choices. I remember when i was failing geometry and I went to tutoring and passed the class with a B. It's the same thing in sports, "you have to learn how to lose, in order to win gracefully."
I think Abraham Lincoln's story was the most surprising because he's such a big part in our history now. In my opinion, "if you've never failed, you've never lived" means every single person in the world has failed before! Nobody is perfect and constantly wins or succeeds. Failing doesn't mean it's over it just means you need to try harder the next time. The worst thing you could do is give up because then you'll never succeed.
I was shocked to hear that Thomas Edison was told he was “too stupid to learn anything.” He’s created so many things for us it’s just hard to believe that somebody told him that. I couldn’t agree more with the statement, “If you’ve never failed, you’ve never lived,” because you don’t always succeed at everything you do and without failure, what else can motivate you to keep going? Even some of the most famous people faced huge hardships and look where they are today. “If you can dream it, you can do it.”
Thomas Edison's story surprised me the most. The statement "if you've never failed, you've never lived", means, if you've never failed, you obviously haven't done anything in your life. Whenever I fail a test, that lets me know, that I need to study my butt off, to past the next test. That's a prime example of a time, when you have to fail, in order to succeed.
What person surprised me the most was Abraham leicon and, Thomas Edison. Because with out these people the stat and world would no be the same. I can remember times where I wanted to quit but I never want to be a quitter. I mean that every body has them days but its all way good to look on the bright side. So never quit all was keep your head high. By : Stephanie Phelps
