What makes this clip from the movie "Facing the Giants" motivational for you? Describe a time when someone pushed you to achieve more than you thought possible. What goals have you set for yourself this year? In your opinion, what factors determine whether or not people achieve the goals they set for themselves?
This clip is very motivational because it tells us to reach for the stars so to speak. That no goal in unachievable. Some goals I have for this year are to graduate and become 7 feet tall. To achieve your goals you must work hard everyday. Also you have to believe in yourself if you do this it will come soon enough.
It's motivational because you can do more then you think you can. In my opinion people should try harder and they can achieve more. When I played softball the coaches pushed us to play harder. The goals I have set is to try harder. This clip was motivational.
This video is very motivational to me. One of the reasons that it motivates me is that it teaches you never to give up on yourself. Another reason is it shows you how to push yourself and too never give up. A factor that determines whether or not people achieve the goals they set for themselves is their determination to achieve that goal for themselves. A goal that I have set for myself is to graduate this year and go to college.
The time I have been pushed like that was in basketball. I was at practice and I started to give up but the coach had told me I can do it and to never give up and I kept on doing it and from that day forth I had gave it my all even when it came down to the point I didn’t feel like doing it . My goals I set for this year in school is to do my best at everything I do and to never give up on nothing. Everybody that does anything should give it there all not just 100 of it but 110 of it.
This clip shows that we can’t always see how far we can be pushed. We can’t always see how much motivation or drive we have in ourselves either, but his coach knew he had it in him. He pushes him beyond what he knew he could do, by setting him a whole new standard. I’ve set a goal to get back into pitching as often as I used to so I can reset my “muscle memory” and gain back speed I lost. I love pitching and often times I don’t feel like I can keep pushing but my coach knows I have it in me and he motivates me, sometimes in ways I never thought would help. He got me to where I am today and I could have never made it without his strive to push me to my full potential.
You need to have a positive attitude towards a situation, especially if you want to do your best. If you don't have a positive attitude then you're already setting yourself up for failure. You have to believe in yourself before any one else truly can. The video inspired me to not think of the impossible, because if you set your mind to something then it won't be the impossible. When you set a goal you need to put your all in it! You have to follow through with it to achieve it, so don't ever give up! Once you achieve your goal set an even higher goal for yourself! -Dana
I was proven wrong when I was on track and didn’t think I could run as long as I did, because coach motivated us and told us we couldn’t stop. My goals for this year are to stay on top of my school work, and try my best to make straight A’s. I think today people have a harder time achieving goals. I think that because there is not always going to be someone there by your side to help you and push you when you don’t think that you can do it. This movie clip is motivational because, I think some people under estimate their self before even trying to achieve their goal.
This clip from “Facing the Giants” motivates me because it shows that people do the minimum of what someone asks instead of the best they can do. Some people say the give 110 percent but what they really give is what you want. They could push themselves further and make what they are doing ten times better but instead they do the bare minimum of what you want them to do. I have to admit that I do this too and only give what they are asking for. I do need to push myself more, but this is why I like this part of the movie. It is very motivational.
People set goals to help them determine what they want to achieve and how they’re going to achieve it. Sometimes people set goals too low to have a better chance at successfully reaching that goal. This movie, “Facing the Giants,” shows that you shouldn’t limit yourself to one goal and not try to push yourself farther. Sometimes a little extra push is all you need to realize that you can do things you never thought you were able to, like when the coach pushes and motivates his player to carry the boy across the field. I believe that if people don’t have the drive to reach for higher goals than they set for themselves, they will never be better than how they already are.
The thing that makes this clip from the move is that you can do any thing that you set your mined two. I have been in time where I’m scared two death but my dad will all was come up in my mined and I hear him say “keep on trying “ no matter what it is from circle track racing ,to flipping a piece of chicken on the grill. I thank that every body should have a goal, and then just go out and accomplish that goal and start a new one. Don’t ever say that you can’t do some thing because you can do any thing. So go out and try something new you’ll never no?
This motivates me because, Brock does not think he can make it to the 50 yard line. But when he tried he made it all the way to the endzone. it makes me think that if I am doing what I think is my best then I could probably do better. It makes me want to achieve more then what I am doing.
I thought the clip was very motivational for several reasons. I always try to push myself when I play football and I try to lead as best as I can. It teaches you to push yourself no matter how hard things may seem. The more people push themselves, the harder they try, the more you will get out of what you are doing, you get out what you put in. I have set goals like attend and graduate college.
Keith Bryant: This video is motivational for me in many ways, one being that you can push yourself to incredible limits, through using your heart and soul. This deals with me through my racing, my father pushes me to be the best in every race, and he also pushes me to be the best off the track. This year I have set goals for myself to improve my academic ability to be at the Virginia Tech level. I feel that the ability to reach your goals comes within, if you want to reach your goal you can, but if you don’t believe in your own abilities it will never happen.
I thought the scene from the movie, was very inspiring. As an athlete, I know exactly how that feels, and just how important it is. Pushing yourself to do exceedingly well, should be an everyday, and all the time thing, for athletes. (As well, as for just regular everyday life, outside of sports.)Push yourself and work hard at everything you do, no matter how hard it is.
The part in this movie that motivated me was when the coach was just yelling at him and the kid was yelling it hurts but yet he kept going. I believe that you should never doubt yourself when it comes down to certain situations. I know that I doubt myself a lot but that is something that I could improve on. I don’t think I have ever been pushed that far, like the kid was by the coach. My goal for this year is to at least make straight A’s.
I think this clip is very motivational because it tells you to set your mind to your goals and you will accomplish them. I remember when Coach Hampton at the Middle School pushed me to run in the 5k and I put my mind to it and I accomplish it. My goals this year is to do well in school. When people who set goals and then say “its too hard, I don’t want to do it…” are the people who fail, but the people who say “this is easy, I’m proud of my self because I did it…” are the people who succeed in life.
