Chaz Bono underwent gender reassignment surgery and legally changed his gender from female to male in 2010. He was born a female named Chastity to Cher and Sonny Bono. Chaz Bono is a contestant on this season's "Dancing with the Stars." OneMillionMoms.com has called for a boycott of the show calling his casting, "completely unacceptable and Christians should not watch the show, no excuses!" Watch Chaz's mother, Cher's, response to all the negative publicity.
The first episode of this season's "Dancing With the Stars" aired last night on ABC. Did you watch it? Do you think the show should be boycotted because Chaz Bono is a contestant? Explain your opinion on Chaz's gender reassignment surgery.

I did not watch dancing with the stars. No, it should not be boycotted because he is a contestant. Its his decision to change his gender. People should not change their views just because he changes his gender. They are watching the show to watch people dance, so why should they care if its a man or a woman. Just watch them dance, that's all they have to do.
I didn't watch the show last night but I still I don't think it should matter. I mean I understand some people don't agree with other peoples decisions but that doesn’t mean a show shouldn't air just because someone trans-gender is on it. It is that persons decision if that’s what they want to do let them don't boycott against them.
No, I did not watch Dancing With the Stars last night. It is pretty stupid to boycott the show just because Chaz Bono is a contestant. Yes, people may not like his decision to have gender reassignment surgery, but it was his choice. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it doesn't mean the way they think is the right way.
I did not watch “Dancing with the Stars” but I don’t see nothing wrong with people that change there gender I don’t see nothing wrong with it if they are comfortable with what they do then we should to that’s there life let them live it. But people should really be ashamed to boycott the show is really “CHILDISH” to me, and for that he should stay on the show and do his best at it to .
I didn’t watch it last night. I don’t think it should be boycotted. It doesn’t matter if you change your gender people should have the same right. Everybody should have the same right even if they are different. Everyone is the different in their own way.
I did not watch it but I saw a glimpse of it because of Ron Artest he is one of my favorite basketball players so I had to watch him. I could care less if “Chaz” is up there let him do what he wants to do. I don’t agree with his “change” but who am I to tell him what to do with his life.
I did not watch the show but it was not because I agree that it should be boycotted. That is absolutely ridiculous! I do not understand why people take everything so serious down to the smallest detail. Chaz Bono has every right to be a contestant on the show and I’m glad that he is not letting the opinion of everyone keep him from doing what he wants. Too many people have this mentality that you have to be like picture perfect with no background or past just to be on television. Everybody is different and I do not agree that a show should be boycotted because of something personal somebody chose to do. It relates back to “Get Service”. How would you like if your personal life was broad casted just because you’re trying to do something that you think would be fun but other people thought was wrong?
No I did not watch yesterdays show. I think it is wrong what the people are doing to this... man. It is after all a free country. People should be able to to what they want to their image (With a few exceptions) and not be judged by people who do not know them. It is a little strange but I respect it.
I didn’t watch “Dancing With the Stars” last night. I don’t think that the show should be boycotted just because of Chaz’s decision on changing his gender. I think everyone should have the same opportunity as everyone else when it comes to the show. My opinion is everyone is different in their own way so just as long as it makes him happy, why should it matter to any one else?
Keith Bryant: Well this is a topic that I feel should not be even brought up. Leave the poor boy …girl well whatever it is alone. For one that should not matter because it’s a television show what does sex gender have to do with dancing? It doesn’t have anything to do with dancing nothing at all. I mean sure if you want to hurt someone than yeah bring it up on national TV shows.
Chaz Bono, formerly Chastity, appearing on Dancing with the Stars last night is not an abomination. His reassignment surgery was his own decision and he should not be discriminated against because of it. I believe that calling for a boycott of the show because it is unacceptable for Christians to watch is completely unethical and unprofessional for anyone to publically announce. It is actually quite hypocritical for them to decide who should be allowed on the show based on Christianity. By now, America has grown to understand and accept plenty of races, ethnicities, cultures and preferences, and Chaz Bono’s case should be no exception.
I think people can do whatever they want, as long as it doesn't physically hurt other people. If she felt the need to change herself, then that should be fine. I do think it's a little weird, but it was her decision. She’s happy with herself now, and that's all that matters.
I did not watch "Dancing With the Stars". However, for people to say that everyone should boycott the show just because Chaz Bono is a trans gender is immature and hurtful. My opinion on his surgery is, if that is what makes him comfortable with his self then he should go for it. Gays/ trans genders are judged to much in this world, and people should just really let them be. He should continue on with the show and ignore anything that he hears!
I didn’t watch Dancing with the Stars last night, but I was aware that Chaz Bono was on there. In my opinion, it’s his life so let him do whatever makes him happy! It’s not affecting our lives in any way so why make such a big deal about it. If anyone has enough time to worry that much about some else’s life to boycott a show they are on, then they seriously have no personal life! I think Chaz being on the show is a good thing, because it shows that America is a free country and allows everyone to be their own person. If you don't like the fact he's on there then don't watch it, simple as that!
I didn't watch "Dancing With the Stars." I don't think that Chaz Bono should be boycotted as a contestant. I believe that he went under this surgery because he wanted to feel good in his body. This is his decision that he wanted to make and that people should show him some respect.
No, I did not watch dancing with the stars last night. But I thank that its not up to you to tell people what they can and can not do. Like I say, you can do any thing you sat your mind to. Just because he is up there it should not make the ratings go up or down. I thank that its all up to the person in what they do.
