Jeopardy! Man vs Robot
Did you know that previous Jeopardy champions were taking on an IBM supercomputer this week on Jeopardy? Have you watched any of the episodes? If so, what did you think? "Watson" kicked butt on Jeopardy! Does that impress you or worry you and why? What's the most you think a computer should do?

Ok so i never seen the show before. That so Embarrsin that i haven't seen it. From the looks of it, it look very educational. You probably have to be extremely smart to be on that show. I no i will never be able to qualify because they asked you random questions.

I don't watch Jeopardy. It's not that I don't understand it or anything, but the fact that it's so unexciting. I have heard about the computer challenge, however, and I think that it's really impressive. The people don't stand a chance against it. I believe there should be no limit to what a computer can do. Even if they take over the world some day it just shows how ingenious man kind is. Being able to say, "We created something that ended up taking us over," would be pretty cool.
Well because of the fact that I couldn't hear anything and it has big red letters that say that the video is blocked I didn't understand much. Most of the video was about Egypt, and the questions are about Jeopardy...kinda confusing.
I think that the computers amount of knowledge and storage of that knowledge is impressive though the woman's statement in the end was very true; that a computer may be able to analyze and compute, but it will never be able to "feel."
I watched the IBM challenge every night that it was on and it was amazing. I loved how Watson managed to still get a few wrong and how the avatar representing him was designed to show his emotions. I myself was quite impressed with the accomplishments of Watson on this challenge it shows what we as humans are capable of creating. Watson may be s super genius but it took a team of humans to build him which shows how smart we are. I wouldn’t worry to much about the genius of Watson…unless he turns into the terminator and kills us all.
