Did you find this story surprising or do you think cyberbullying occurs so often now that we're becoming numb to it? Were you surprised to learn that the teenagers who did this had already graduated high school? Did the teenagers deserve criminal charges? Why or why not? What did you think of the teenagers' excuse?

I think that Cyber Bullying occurs but we are not numb to it. I couldn’t believe that the people that did it were out of high school. What a perfect example of immaturity and stupidity. The people do need to be charged. The scars of being bullied and made fun of never heal. Their excuse is absolute garbage. CAUSE THEY WERE BORED???? If you’re bored go out and do something productive you nitwits.
I do not find this story shocking at all. I don’t even hear about cyberbullying so I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal. I’m not surprised that they already graduated because they were in the same graduating class as her. This just shows that some people who graduate don’t make something of them self and don’t have a real life. I don’t really think that they deserve criminal charges because what they did wasn’t as bad as it could have been. All they did was joke about her size. I think there excuse is truthful because people do stupid stuff like this all the time because they are bored.
I will always find cyber bullying surprising. How do people have the time to do such things? Why would you want to do it in the first place, I think bullying is pointless and stupid. It is kind of surprising that the offenders are out of high school, this is so immature and you are supposed to leave that stuff in high school. Their excuse for creating the page is so stupid, if you’re bored you don’t do something like that, there is always something else to do.
I was actually not surprised to hear this. I do believe that we are becoming numb to these types of incidents. Yes, I was surprised to learn that these people have already graduated high school. The thing that I am confused about is their reasoning. They said they were bored, I would think that they would have better things to do.
It is somewhat surprising but, cyber-bullying does happen. Actually, I would expect teenagers to do this more than full adults. Many teenagers think it is funny to demean other people’s feelings and think it not as serious as it really is. I don’t know how the criminal charges would work but, they should receive something towards punishment. They were just some irresponsible children who don’t know right from wrong.
I think it’s ridiculous that people waste their time with cyber bullying. I think the teenagers’ excuse was truthful but stupid. They need to get a life because that’s just ridiculous. I don’t know if they deserve criminal charges but they defiantly need to be punished somehow. People are always going to be mean and cyber bully people but the problem in this case is the impersonating.
I think cyber bullying is so normal now the people don't realize it anymore. I was surprised that the teenagers were no longer in school. When people graduate high school you suppose to stop acting like a kid. I don't think they deserve criminal charges. I don't think they deserve it because she'll get over it. I thought their excuse was whack
I am so sick of hearing about cyberbullying! Why can't a person grow up and just say what they have to say to the persons face? I get so irritated with hearing these stories, people should know that it is a joke. If someone is bullying you, they are probably doing it to get words out of you and for humiliation. Plus, the teenagers had a lame excuse. They are just flexing. Keep your head up. Don't stress what people say, everyone talks. Do you, keep it one-hundred and ten.
I do not find this story surprising. This is because cyberbulling occurs so often in our society that it just doesn't surprise me. I am kind of surprised that the teenagers already graduated. This is because you would think someone with no life and childish would do this. I don't think that they should receive criminal charges but, they should be punished some how. I think their excuse was retarded. This is because you can't just be bored to hurt someone.

It does happen often, but in reality nobody pays attention to it, its just childish. Yes, I was so surprised that they have graduated school. They're supposed to set examples for the other students still in school, yet they do stupid things like making a facebook page about someone's weight. The only reason they should go to jail is because they put it on the internet for every one to see. Their excuse is really stupid, who says "I was bored" to an offense that you can get charged for.
Cyberbullying happens so often that the world expects it and its no longer a shock. Teenagers that had already graduated high school is pretty bad. The teenagers should face the charges because what they did was wrong. The excuse was wrong of them you do not do something just because you are bored.
I think it is happening so often that we are becoming numb of it. I know of multiple coincidences where people have either been bullied or mocked, even cases where someone has cyberbullied me. I think it is really immature that the ones that did this were graduated from high school and they did it because they were bored, I don't have time to even get on facebook more or less mock someone on facebook. Honestly, if they are that bored why don't they just go to college or get a job, apparently they have no life currently.
I think is surprising. I mean who would have the time to do this? I think the students that did this they had nothing to do and just wanted to get attention. I think they should apologize and get community service. I thought there excuse was pitiful.
This story did not surprise me. I am not surprised they graduated from high school. I think the deserve a minor charge. It is a stupid excuse.
I think people really dont care of cyberbullying becuase it occurs often. No becuase people are really imature. One example is Kendel Griffan. Yes I do think they do deserve criminal chargers. They took her idenitity and told lies about her. That it was a crappy lie.
I don't find it surprising at all; people do it all the time. In fact someone even made a fake MySpace a while ago about my sister. People are immature and have nothing better to do with there time. I think they deserve criminal charges because they basically stole her identity online and made fun of her. The teenagers are stupid, who can sit there and have the time to do that?
I've noticed that cyberbullying has been on the news almost everyday. It's so crazy how people want to hurt others like this. Those people looked like they were in their thirties. I think they deserved criminal charges; they had no right to do that. It's dangerous because if it really affected her, she might have taken her own life. Their excuse was stupid and typical.

I think that what they did was so mean. They didn't have nothing else to do but to make fun of someone else. I really think that they deserve what they got. Their excuse was so dumb and it didn't even make sense. Plus, they look to old to be doing something like this.
No in fact Elijah Trantham has an impersonator. Yes and that one of them was her best friend was very suprising. I think they deserve criminal charges cause they did very derogatory things to her image which wasn't great to begin with.
I didn't find this story surprising. i was not shocked to learn about the teenagers, and that they already graduated high school. The teenagers just deserve restrictions off the internet. Preferably to be stripped of internet for their lives. I think the teenagers excuse were weak!
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Mrs. Bryant I'm sick of cyber bulling. that aside it is possible that we are becoming numb to it. Yes they do deserve to be charged. They just shouldn't have done it at all.
This was not a surprise. Cyber bullying occurs everyday. Yes, if you have already graduated why are you even being this immature. Yes, they deserve all the changes they got. Its so wack that they did that to that girl, she didn't do anything to them. Their excuse was B.S, just because you want to see someone humiliated you make a fake Facebook page. I would be pissed.
This story wasn't surprising, I know people that similar things have happened to. It's pretty immature that they're out of high school, but I'm not surprised. I think they did deserve criminal charges. They're to old to be doing that kind of thing and it could be bad for when the girl goes to get a job etc. I think the their excuse wasn't any reason to have done it. If you have a problem with someone, keep it between you and that person, don't put it on the internet.
Honestly, I don't find this story surprising. I will never understand why people are so mean to others. I do believe that cyberbullying occurs so often that we're becoming numb to it because see it so much. I'm surprise that those teenagers were out of school and still bullying people. I think it's about time they grow up. They deserve criminal charges because what you put on the internet never goes away. They have caused her alot of pain and they should be punished. Their excuse was just as stupid as they were. I'm pretty sure they're going to at least pay a steep fine.
I feel sorry for the large girl. I think that the people who created the fake Facebook account should be fined. I don’t think that the people should be thrown in jail. The profile picture of the cow was pretty funny though. I hope nobody at Windsor does what those bad kids did.
I'm not surprised by this because it's something that often happens. It was too immature of the teenagers to bully her like that online. It was childish of them to make someone so innocent humiliated. I do agree with the teenagers receiving criminal charges because they exposed her to the whole network as something she's not and hurt her at the same time. I think the teenagers' excuse was so dumb and again childish.
I am not surprise about this because kids are cruel and mean so I am numb to it! I was kind of surprise that people out of school would do something like that! Honestly, I do not think they should have gotten criminal actions; it was serious but not really. I think they should get a job or something so they wont have so much time on their hands!
I don’t think this is surprising at all. This is so common now with all the technology. Yes, I think it is pretty immature they were already graduated from high school, and still find the time to make fun of someone. I do not believe they should be put in jail but they should have some kind of fine. I thought their excuses were ridiculous. You do not do something like this because you are bored. That is no excuse.
It's not very surprising. People always feel the need to pick on other people. It does happen too often. The fact that the two teens behind it had already graduated made it worse. The teenagers do deserve criminal charges, they know what they did was wrong and that it is punishable by law.
I'm glad the people responsible for the bullying got caught. I don't find this story surprising. Unfortunately there will always be mean people in the world. I was a little shocked at the age of the teenagers who did this. It's pretty low to impersonate someone on Facebook, just to enjoy their pain. I would think that they were more mature then that, but then again, you never know. I do believe they should receive criminal charges because bullying leads to big issues. It messes with the self esteem of the person being bullied, which causes various types of self abuse, including suicide. Their excuse was childish. To say that you did what you did just to see others suffer is not a good enough excuse for potentially ruining someone's life. There is no excepted excuse for their actions.
I think we have become numb to cyberbullying.Which is sad to me that we have become numb to bullying. No I was no surprised to here that the teens who did this to the girl had already graduated.Yes the teens who did this to the girl deserve criminal charges. The reason I think this is that they degraded the girl and one of them had been friend's with the girl. How does a freind turn around and do something that mean to some one they had once called a friend? The answer is a friend does not do something like what the two criminals did to this girl.I thought the the teenagers excuse was lame. I mean really who thinks that doing things like that are ok?No one is the answer to this question. So I think the two criminals deserved what they had coming to them for doing what they did to this girl.
