Bush takes on Lauer

Last night former President George W. Bush gave his first one-on-one TV interview since leaving the Oval office. One of the topics discussed was Kanye West's accusation that "George Bush doesn't care about black people." Watch the videos.

Did you watch the Bush interview last night? If so, what did you think? Were you a Bush supporter when he was President? Why or why not? What did you think of Kanye West's accusation that "George Bush doesn't care about black people"?

No I didn't watch the interview last night. No I wasn't a Bush supporter because I didn't pay attention to politics. I think he didn't know what of he was talking about. I think he was unsure about what he was saying during the interview.

I wouldn’t waste a second of my time watching the interview with George W. Bush. I never liked him and I always thought he was an ignorant fool. Kayne West’s accusation is down right stupid. He doesn’t ever make sense and he was talking right off the top of his head. Why should we listen to the idiot who got drunk and got up on stage acting like an idiot?

No, I did not watch the interview with President Bush last night. I did agree with some of President Bush’s policies during his presidency. In my opinion Kanye West’s accusations have no merit. There is no evidence that President Bush was or still is a racist. I also don’t agree with West’s assumptions about New Orleans and the situation of Katrina.

No, I did not watch the video last night. I was a Bush supporter when he was President because he did what the people wanted, especially when the war came up. The people wanted a war and as soon as they thought there were too many casualties they wanted to pull out. Well you can not just pull out of a war when you feel like it. Kanye West is an idiot. Bush was not a racist and he did not respond to the incident slowly just because there were black people there.

Yes, i did watch the bush interview last I think Kanye West is very disrespectful. No, I was not a Bush supporter when he was President because I really dont pay attention to elections. I think Kanye West's accusation was uncalled for just because Bush wasn't the first person to donate money to the survivers of Katrina doesn't mean that he doesn't care abot black people.

I did not watch the Bush interview last night. I wasn't a Bush supporter. Because I felt he couldn't have done more, but everyone makes mistakes. I think Kayne West's accusation was totally unnecessary. It came from nowhere. It was no reason that he should have said that. I'm sure Bush does care about black people. If he hadn't cared he wouldn't have became president.

I did not watch the Bush interview last night. I really don’t pay attention to politics. I have no clue where to start with them. All I hear are opinions of Bush and they aren’t too great. For Kanye West to make a accusation such as this one it wrong. You don’t sit there and say that the president of our country is racist. He wouldn’t be the president if so. George Bush’s job was to do what’s best for our country.

I did not watch the Bush interview last night because I did not know about it. Even if I did know, I would have still not watched it. I was not a Bush supporter when he was the President. Kanye West spoke what he thought was true and people can debate about it. I think Bush did care a little for the black people and sometimes he did not. It all comes down to how you look at what Bush did in office.

No I did not watch the Bush interview last night. I'm not going to say I was completely against him but I don't think he made the best choices as President. First off I think Kanye West is not the sharpest tool in the box. I'm not going to say George Bush doesn't care about black people because I do not know him but his actions could say otherwise.

I think Kanye needs to learn how to keep his opinion to himself. I remember watching the program back when it happened and being really confused. The way the played it off was as though Kanye didn’t say anything too out of script so it took me a second back then to understand what I’d just herd. However, looking back at it now I still don’t understand him fully. What does he mean by there are people going to shoot them? As far as Bush is concerned I don’t think he handled it well during his presidency but now that he’s not president his response seems better handled. I think that’s because now he doesn’t really care what people think and he doesn’t have to pretend he does anymore.

This is the first time I have seen the interview and I believe former president Busch is telling the truth. Of course, he would say he “resented” the statement any way. I haven’t really supported any government officials because I haven’t really been keeping close watch on everything. I do know that Busch did what the American people told him they wanted done and then he was disliked for it.

I did not watch the Bush interview last night. I do not watch the news or things like that a lot if at all, it will just make me mad at times. I think what they were talking about was crazy, there seems to be no evidence of that accusation. I was a supporter of Bush, kind of. To me it seemed like if he made a mistake then he would apologize for it, and he would take criticism. Whether that was a picture that the media painted, okay, but he seemed like a decent guy to me.

I wasn't able to watch George Busch's interview last night, because of work. I was a Busch supporter, but really knew nothing about him at the time, although even now I probably still would be if he was president. I don't believe he is racist and I think that when people were going through all that they were just looking for someone to blame.

No, I didn't watch the Bush interview last night. I didn't support Bush. I'm a Democrat (because my family is Democratic).I think Kanye's opinion is irrelevent because he's done lots of stupid stuff like interupting Taylor Swift at the VMA's last year. Although, George Bush really doesn't care about black people.

Unknown said...

No I did not watch it. I was younger then and nerver really paid any attention to Bush. I think Kayne West didn't have a right to say that. I think Kayne is crazy! He looked mad.

Ummmm ok this is ummm I don't know. That is really funny. While I didn't like Bush as a president I can't say that I agree about him not caring about black people. These are really rediculous things to say about people expecially on national television. To tell the truth Bush's time in office was a failure. It's his fault that our eceonomy is this way not Obama's

No I don't care. I don't know I didn't watch it. I liked Bush more than Obama. He is a republican and I like him because he's a republician. I don't like Kanye West he has like one good song and its old.

I forgot about the Bush interview last night, so I didn't watch it. I didn't really have an opinion when he was president. I don't think Kanye West had any ground to accuse Bush of being a racist. He didn't have any evidence, and even if he did, this moment was not the appropriate time to bring up the subject. He didn't have a straight story either. Nothing he said made any sense.

Kanye just seems like an idiot who thinks he is always right. I honest think Kayne West is racist. He’s been against George Bush and Taylor Swift; which both of them are white. I really don't care who the president is or was to be honest. I may not like some of the things they decided on or what they make of the economy though. I think Bush handled it well, and was mature about the situation.

I don't think Bush is a very intelligent man. Kanye says a lot of stupid things and he needs to stop. I didn't support Bush because my family is Democratic.

I personally didn't like the way Bush handled things. I thought he made certain things worst instead of better. I don't know if he's racist or not; people say one thing and do it the next. It was just very random what Kanye West said about Bush. I don't think it was right for him to say that on television for the whole world to see. He messed up before, he's definately going to mess up again.

George Bush is not a racist. Kanye West is a racist. I like his music even though he is not a very nice man. George Bush is a funny dude, especially when he talks. I want to see George Bush and Kanye West fight.

I didn't watch the Bush interview last night. When Bush was president, I was not a supporter of his policies. It seems to me that his policies hurt the ecomomy more than they helped. Honestly, I think Kanye West is really stupid. I don't understand why he couldn't voice his opinion in an intelligent manner instead of acting ignorant.

No but what I just saw was good enough for me. I chose to plead the 3rd on this one. Not to my knowledge I was not a Bush supporter. I chose to stay out of political arguments. I wish to stay out of political debates. I think Kanye needs to go on vacation for spiritual enlightenment. Maybe when he gets back from his trip he will know how to properly insult a person. Plus who would say that on national television? Not me that's for sure. I am glad that Bush cleared up that he does not care about black people. That he just did not like how Kayne called him a racist.

Unknown said...

No I did not watch the interview yesterday, to tell you the truth I can't tell you what I was doing! I wasn't really a supporter of Bush when he was president. I think that maybe Kanye West needs to stop and think about what he is about to say before saying it. Also what he said about George Bush doesn't care about black people was just so random. So that is what I think about this whole situation.

Unknown said...

No, I didn't watch the Bush interview last night. No, I was never a Bush supporter. I don't even know why he was elected for office. I thought what Kanye said about Bush was hilarious, but it shows that he is not afraid to speak his mind. Kanye also. He is to funny man, I swear he deserves a Grammy for most interrupted tv shows.

I didn't watch the Bush interview last night and I didn't support bush when he was president because I didn't care about it because I was younger. I think that what Kanye West said was so random. They weren't even talking about George Bush being racist. He just came out of nowhere talking Bush sending out soldiers to come invade black people. I thought it was funny.

George Bush is a very submissive president. I wasn't a supporter of George Bush when he was president. I believe George Bush just doesn't know how to cater to the African American race. I have nothing against him, except the way he handles things.
