In your opinion, should the government do more or less for the American people? Why? How did our class election results compare to the actual election results (if you don't already know, look it up)?

I think that the government should do more for the American people.We as a country are still desperate for a way out. The class voted for the Republicans. The Republicans won the house, but didn't take the senate. It's cool how that worked out.
I don’t fully understand the question. Do more or less in what area? I mean isn’t it the governments job to help the American people and protect citizen’s rights? I don’t think the government should necessarily have too much control over the country but I do think there are some issues that the government needs to take care of. After all, we elect government officials to help solve certain problems, right?
In my opinion, the government should do more for the American people not for the people that are not legally here. This is because we were all born here or a United States citizen. In class our we predicted right when the Republican party took over the House of Representatives.

The government should do more for the American people. If the American people pay taxes and are the base of the government's power than the government should do more for them. The class election was very similar to the actual election.
I believe that the government should do just enough for the citizens but not too much so we don’t become extremely dependent. The duty of the government is the protection and care of the people so they need to do just that. They do not need baby us. The class voted republican just like the majority of country.
In my opinion I believe that the amount of government activism should be balanced. In some aspects of life I believe that the government should be active in our live. An example of this I believe that Social Security should be strong. I also believe that excessive taxes on the rich and excessive restrictions on business could hurt our country. Our class election results mirrored the actual election. Our votes on the legislation are undetermined on some of the issues.
The reason why we have a government, in which the people vote for the staff, is to provide for the country and its people. If Americans had wanted the government to take care of itself and not care about the people we would have a dictatorship. The government was put there to maintain the country and provide for the people and make our lives livable and profitable and in return we citizens are supposed to contribute to society by working and paying reasonable taxes.
I don’t really like politics. I know that they are important but it just makes me mad because most politicians seem to be self-righteous. That’s just my opinion. For our class elections the House of Representatives election matched with the actual results. Randy Forbes won, which is good because he takes the time to talk to those that he represents.
In my opinion the government should do more for the American people because some of the people can't afford to go to college and the government should provide a scholarship for certain people who the requirements to recieve one. The class election votes are very close to the actual election results.

I think the government should do less for the people. They are too involved in peoples lives and have to many stipulations on our life. Our class elected Randy Forbes and he won the race. The vote to amend the constitiution was passed. The taxing law was also passed. The 15 percent was also passed.
I believe that government should do more for the American people in the way of taxes. The government officials should be able to control and stabilize our economy, without being in our way. The people need representation of taxation and need to take seriously who we vote for these days. A class election is like an actual election because you need to find out things about the people running for the position. Young voters, please don't just vote for someone because your parents voted for them or just randomly pick one, learn about your candidate and choose wisely.
As of now I am unsure and somewhat unaware of what the government is doing, so I really can't have an opinion of whether the government is doing too much or less. Our class election was similar to the actual election in which Forbes won the election.
I think the government should do less for our country. Many “helpful” things that the country has done have now turned into a crisis. There giving too much and receiving little from the people’s efforts. Since the people are taking advantage of the things there giving they shouldn’t allow the people to have it.
I think that the government needs to do more in helping the American people in some areas and not so much in other areas. The election in our class had the similar results of the election yesterday.
The govenment should do more for the American poeple money wise. The govenment should not make people pay more taxes. The class picked J. Randy Forbes to win.
I think in some case less and some casses less. I think this becuase if you help to much you ruin the goverment. If you help to little you turn into a dictator ship. Suprisingly they went with every body decesion.

I believe that the government shouldn’t do much for the people. Americans should take care of them self’s. Our government acts like everyone’s mother. Thank god Nancy Policy is out as the speaker of the house. Republicans are better then Democrats
I think the government should do more benficial things for the American people. The government focuses on too many things that don't matter. The American people need jobs, health care, and security. The class was right. The Republicans did win control of the House, but they didn't get control of the Senate.

The government should do less the dollar doesn't buy what it use to. Taxes are higher in fees and population than ever before. I thought the class elections were pretty accurate.
The government does a lot as it is, but they should always do more. The class election was mostly Republicans. The house is now Republican also.
I think that the government should do more for the people. So many people need help in the world and that they need all the help they can get. I think that our vote were almost the same from theirs. I think the government should do less, because the more they change the more their will be complaints. I am glad the republicans won the election. Maybe with this election republicans will regain title when it is time for the president election; and take Obama’s title away! I'm not too big on government or any of it really it's kind of confusing. I would just be happy to see Obama loose the title of President of the United States.
I think the government should do more for the American people. I mean we are in economic trouble. Unemployment needs to go down. Houses need to be lived in and not siting waiting to be bought. Pretty close I think. The results were different for the two elections. As to the amendments everyone seems to want tall of them to pass. It showed Our opinion.

The government should do more to help the people. Randy Forbes won by more in the class election than he did in the real election. I had to stop the video because the guy almost started crying. I almost laughed.
I believe the government should do more for people. I say this because the taxes are very harsh. I really think the health care plan and tax cuts will help a lot. Our class elections compared to the actual results by the accuracy being right. I love democrats!
