Nothing in the video really surprised me. There are many technological advances being made everyday. People today use technology for everything. When my children are born, I think that the world will be way different. Many changes are to come over the years. I think that more technology will be made and people will start relying on it even more than they are now. In my opinion I would say that some, not all change is good, because with changes there comes more ideas and inventions. Change can bring forth positive incentives with it. -Muhammad R.-
The thing in this video that surprised me was that basically the world is going to run off of technology. I'm a little bit afraid of change, but people say change is good. I think when my child is born she/he will be able to teach me more because now a days children are learning faster. All change is not good because some people don't adjust to change as others.
I think what surprised me the most was number of people on myspace and facebook. I would have never thought that, that many people used those websites. In some cases I'm scared of change, but for the most part I think that change is ok. When I have children, I think this world is going to be crazy, completely controlled by computers, and I don't think that there will be many jobs. This video was totally weird it made you really think about how things are going in the world. The way we live is moving more into the technologic way. We have stopped sending letters to people because we now just text, e-mail, or we may use web-cam. Either way we are not doing things the way they use to be done which is a huge change. Change can be good such moving to technologic which helps use as people to save resources. They can also be bas because the thought of having a computer smarter than people is pretty scary. The most surprising thing in this video for me is that students starting in a 4 year technical degree will have learned out dated material by there third year of study. I embrace change being that I know change is needed. When and if I have children I think they will have a lot to fix in the world we messed up and are continuing to mess up. I think the supercomputer is a little extraordinary because we won’t even have to use our brains, the computer will be smarter than us and have many more capabilities. I was surprised to learn that if MySpace was a country, it would be the 5th largest in the world. I embrace change to a certain extent, but at the same time, the rapidity of our change is scary. Technology is improving so much that it might lead to our destruction. We already have the capability to blow up the planet; what else might we be able to do with technology to come? At the rate the world is changing, my children will be in a completely different world than I am. Even my own parents had a different world than me in their teenage years. Technology is something that everyone embraces, yet criticizes at the same time. Some people are afraid of technology and say they wish things were simpler, but without technology they would not be able to function. Technology makes everything in the world easier and we can not be afraid of it. My thoughts on the super computer are that it may be able to be smarter than the human species, but someone had to create it and program it. I also think that America should take on all the challenges presented in the video and starts getting serious about education like India and China have. And today, the number of text message sent and received everyday, exceeds the total population of the planet. I embrace change in the world because everything has to change eventually. I embrace change because without change the human race can't accelerate our knowledge as well as we could without it. When my children are born I expect everything to be generated and performed with computers. Not ALL change is good, but a lot of it is good because if we were still as advanced as we were in the stone age then not only would we never get anything done but we would also have a hard time storing information. Well first off technology is unbelievably changing a lot per second. I mean in the video it said in 2049, a $1,000 will exceed the entire human species. That’s insane, I mean one person probably makes a quarter of a computer, so like, that’s kind of impossible. Also technology may be so bad; we won’t really control much of anything anymore. But most people don’t see “Outside of the box.” I just think it’s crazy!

I'm like afraid of change because like if all this stuff happens that is supposed to happen then like that's crazy. Like a computer that exceeds the human mind, that's like not possible is it? When I have children I just think that the world will be even lazier. If its going to be any worse then it is now, its going to be a crazy place to live in.

The part of this video that surprised me the most is how many people speak English in China. Yes I embrace change because I think change is a good thing and it is need to survive. The world won't be too different but it is going to have a lot more advances than we have now. Not all change is good some we can do without. The reason I think that all change is not good is because some of the changes in life can hurt or destroy life. James St. Peter
What surprised me the most was just about everything in this video. I am not
necessarily "afraid" of change because it can sometimes be a good thing. I think the world will be way different when our children are born because of all the different technology that people are coming up with and inventing. Not all change is good. I say that because some people try to take the word "change" to the extreme and end up making a huge mistake.-Cadeja Wilson
What surprised me the most was during the video the number of text messages sent and received everyday exceeds the total population of the planet. It amazed me because I know that I text a lot, but imagine it bigger than the total population of the planet. I think it would be so weird if children were never born because without children being born there would be no compassion in the world.(: And you wouldn’t be able look at a beautiful baby’s face, play ‘peak-a-boo’, or ‘this little pig’.
