Life is Risk

Which person's story surprised you most? Explain the meaning of the statement, "If you've never failed, you've never lived." Has there been a time in your life when a failure paved the way for success? Why do you think we must fail in order to succeed? Do you think this is always true? Why or why not?

I think "The Beatles" story is pretty surprising since they became so popular in the '60s. I live in the moment so there isn't really a path paved out for me. You don't have to fail to be successful, in fact you're more successful if you don't fail. If you fail you're less successful if you do fail a lot. Plus if you don't fail you're a winner.

I think that if you have never failed, then you have never taken risks. The person whose story surprised me most was the Beatles. There has been a time when failure paved my way to success. We must fail to teach us how to succeed. I believe this is always true. Without failure, we can never know how we will consistently succeed.

Walt Disney's story because i didn't know that a newspaper turned him down and he made Mickey Mouse. the statement means that if you just succeed you probably haven't gone out of your comfort zone and since you've failed then you have tried some new things. I have always been successful if I had cared enough to try my best. If you start with succeeding then you will not have to fail. No, You could just succeed.

I think "If you've never failed, you've never lived" means that one can only really succeed if one fails at some point. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect. Therefore, when one fails, it would motivate them to "live" or, in other words, try harder. Then, they succeed and become even bigger then they would've if they hadn't of failed.

Every person has to fail before they can succeed. Nothing is done absolutely right the first time. Ulysses S. Grant cutting surprised me. I didn't expect a general to do something like that even if I knew they could.

I think the Beatles and Michael Jordan stories surprised me the most. I can't recall a time where failure paved the way for success for me. We must fail to learn from our mistakes. Succeeding constantly is impressive, but it's greater if we learned from our mistakes. Then, you come out stronger.

I was surprised that Micheal Jordan was cut from the varsity basketball team. I would have never thought that one of the best basketball players was ever cut from the team. Everyone fails at some point. We should learn from our mistakes. We should never give up on a dream that we honestly want.

Micheal Jordan's story was very surprising to me. It showed me that how great of a basketball player he is that he was told he wouldn't make a team. He pursued and now is known as one of the most greatest basketball players of all time. When I was told I'd never amount to anything but I am now playing baseball and going places. Yes, you do fail to succeed and it makes things better when you fail, fail, and fail then you succeed.

The Michael Jordan story surprised me the most. I wouldn't have thought he'd be cut from a team as good as he was. To be successful you have to have the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm. So if one bad thing happens you can go on from it. I can't remember a time where where my failure paved the way for me to succeed.

I think Michael Jordan's story surprised me the most. Knowing that he was cut from the Varsity basketball team makes the title seem more real. One of the best basketball players ever was cut. This just comes to show that he tried 10x harder to be who he is today.

Michael Jordan and The Beatles surprised me the most. It amazes me that all these successful people failed at first. This video shows people that it's okay to take risks because we will not know unless we try. When we fail it teaches us what to do and what not to do and to not make the same mistake. Life is a risk and if we fail we need to keep trying and never stop chasing our dreams.

Michael Jordan's story most surprised me. The fact that he got cut from his high school team and now is a famous basketball player. This statement, to me, means that if you do try to do something you wont fail and everybody has to fail to get somewhere in life, if not then you never truly lived. Nobody is perfect so if you try something new than mostly your going to fail but you just can give up, keep trying till you succeed. This is true because again nobody is perfect, we all are going to make mistake.

Lucille Ball was a huge shocker. I have watched nearly all of the episodes of her show. She does not seem to be shy at all.
"If you've never failed, you've never lived." If you have not experienced some humility through a wrong doing, then you can not learn to be humble enough to accept it, laugh WITH the others, and modestly move on. Failing is a part of life. It is not normal to do everything right (no matter the extremity of the circumstance, whether big or small). It is in human nature to make mistakes, perhaps not always learn from them; but make mistakes, yes.
Failing, or making a mistake, can lead to success (learning from the mistake).

Walt Disney's story surprised me because he created so many different cartoon characters and his ideas lead to many more Disney creations and movies. The statement, "If you've never failed, you've never lived," is true because no one has ever not failed at something. With life comes failure. I think failure is the best way to improve on everything you do to try and better your performance. This video proves that if try your best you can succeed against all expectations.

Walt Disney is the last person I would say that has a lack of imagination. All of the Disney characters bring smiles to children across the world. The statement, "If you've never failed, you've never lived," means that life is full of failures that result in successes. When I fail, the failures only motivate me to do my best next time. I have to remember that it is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Michael Jordan's story took me by surprise to know he was cut from the basketball team. The meaning for the quote, "If you've never failed, you've never lived.", is that you can't always be successful in life. The quote gives you encouragement to keep trying and never give up in what you believe in. Yes, this is true, this is what pushes you to do exactly what YOU want, and to keep trying. We have to fail to succeed because no one is perfect and no one is going to do everything right he very first time. We must learn from our mistakes.

If you've never failed, you've never lived, is exactly correct. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way, and sometimes you just have to mess up before you get it right. I have failed many times and it has helped me to succeed the next time.

I think The Beatles' story surprised me the most. I can't believe that they got turned down by the record label. Sure, I've failed before, but none are extremely bad. Success comes from the will to not fail.

The Beatles story surprised me the most. They were a very popular back in the day and made a big impact on music today. The statement "If you've never failed, you've never lived," states that even if you do fail doesn't mean its the end. In life you are going to fail at things but its up to you to decide if you are going to let it defeat you or not. We must fail in order to succeed because you have to learn form you mistakes and then try a different way. I do think this is always true. "After a storm comes a rainbow," there is always good to come even when you feel hopeless.

In order to succeed, you need to fail. This is so true because many people learn better from there own mistakes and fails. When you fail at something, it motivated you to do better, eventually leading to success. Abraham Lincoln had a hard life, yet he still tried to be president eight times. That took dedication. I bet from every election he lost he learned something new.

The Michael Jordan story was suprising to me. The best basketball player ever in history was cut from his own high school team. That moment in his life was a turning point for him. When he locked him self in his room, he made the decision to still follow his dream and become the best in history at his sport.

I think the statement "If you've never failed, you've never lived" is totally true, you have to take risks to learn from your mistakes as well. I really was surprised that a newspaper turned down Walt Disney, he is very well known now and I watched mickey mouse when I was little kid. Abraham Lincoln also surprised me because he was defeated eight times in election and finally became president and is very well know today. I think we must fail sometimes to see the better things in life and to live through them and learn from them, it also proves there is better out there; like instead of Walt Disney doing newspaper he did cartoons and became very famous.

Thomas Edison's story surprised me the most. The statement "If you've never failed, you've never lived." means no one is perfect and has flaws. Yes there has been a time i failed and ended up succeeding. Most of the time it is true because everyone learns from there mistakes.

Walt Disneys story surprised me the most.i would have never thought someone would say he was not creative. I dont think its always true that we must fail to succeed.I think the statement "if you've never failed, you've never lived." is saying that since everybody makes mistakes and fails from time to time, that if you havent failed, your havent lived.

The Beatles story surprised me the most because I grew up listening to them and I love them! In order to learn and grow from our experiences, we must fail. To lean and grow from experiences is to live, so the quote "if you've never failed, you've never lived," explains that failing is living. It is not always necessary to fail in order to succeed, but it does help someone rise up from the bottom. Some people need to fail in order to realize they need to change to succeed.
