Life is Risk

Which person's story surprised you most? Explain what you think the statement, "if you've never failed, you've never lived" means. Has there been a time when a failure in one area of your life paved the way for success? Why do you think we must fail in order to succeed?

I think it means that your going to fail at least once in your life. To get to what you want with your life. There hasn't been a time in my life that I have failed. I think we must fail to learn our mistakes and try our best to correct our mistakes. Then you can try your best to do it right the next time.

Probably Michael Jordan's. Because him being cut from his high school basketball team is crazy, I mean look at him now! The statement to me means basically you haven't lived like a normal person if you've never failed. but then again you have to try something first. yes of course there's been times were Ive failed something happens to everyone. were only human. we must fail in order to succeed so we learn from our mistakes, because nobody perfect.

The beatles story of rejection surprised me the most. Only due to the insperation that they gave every music artist, ever. And the statement given is basicly saying, if you never try, your never going to get anywhere in life. I havent yet had that shining moment of failure leading to greatness, but im sure it will come in due time. Every person has to fail to achieve success.

That statement means, in life you will face failure. That doesn't mean you will never amount to anything. You just have to keep doing whatever you're doing until you get it right. It doesn't matter what other people might say. They can't tell you that you don't know how to do something even if you really don't know how to do it. You might just need to find something you are good at and do whatever that might be. Just work hard and keep going.

To me, the statement means that you will never be perfect at everything. There will come a time in your life when you fail. Learning from your failures will help you learn who you are and how you handle the situation. I think the story that surprised me the most was Abraham Lincoln's. I didn't know that he lost 8 elections or that he failed in business twice.

This video was neat, had many famous people who struggled with obstacles to become who they are. Walt Disney is probably the one, who surprised me the most; when you think of him, you think Imagination. For a man to do so many great things in life and was told he had no imagination is strange. He created Disney World! World of IMAGINATION! Life is not meant to be easy; it is a struggle, if everything was handed to us, we would crumble when we fail. Failure builds character, it is important to fail. You need to fail before you can succeed; you need that passion to pull you to the top. With passion comes failure. With failure comes growth. With growth comes confidence. With confidence comes passion. With passion comes success.

The person who's story surprised me most was Walt Disney. He has been one of the most creative and successful cartoon writers ever.I can't believe he was fired because he "lacked imagination". If you've never failed, you've never lived. Living each day you always try new things and go out there to do something your best. Sometimes your successful and sometimes you fail a few times before you get it right. When I fail at something that encourages me to work 10 times harder, and then I usually succeed. If you haven't put your hole desire in it then your not living to succeed.
