What do you think? Was the 3-year-old's "punishment" cute or cruel? Explain your reasoning. If you think 3 years old is too young, is there an age when humiliation is appropriate punishment? If so, what age and why? If not, why isn't humiliation effective punishment?

I think a 3 year old getting punished like that is horrible. i can understand like a 10 year old or 15 year doing something like this. But a 3 year old really. She didn't know it was wrong. She couldn't help it. Humiliation is a bad thing. No one wants to be humiliated.

I think this is very wrong.This was a young child. She didnt know what she was doing or even think about consequences. I think its very cruel. I think humiliation is okay once you realize what you did wrong and why it was wrong.

Cruel. It's a three year old kid. I mean come on that's stupid to do. No I don't think humiliation should ever be an appropriate punishment. because that could wind up giving someone low self esteem.

I think the father is horrible for doing that. He's a grown man and a parent he needs to be mature and not post stuff like that on the Internet of his own daughter. The little girl is only 3 years old and toddlers have their accidents all the time. I think the 3 year old's punishment was inappropriate and cruel. Humiliation shouldn't be effective punishment for any child in my opinion.

I think that the 3 year old's punishment was cruel. Kids should not be punished in that kind of way. This little girl is to young to be humiliated like this. You should at least wait till they're old enough to know what they did. If a three year old was to do something bad, they probably didnt mean to do it.
That wasn't cute at all. I mean who would do that to a little girl? I don't think it should bve an age for humiliation. But the mother that made her son stand out side with a poster saying that he was a theif, thats not that bad. The only reason i say that is because he is to old for to be doing that and getting away with it.

I think that punishment was wrong for a 3 year old. It wouldn't be that bad if it was 15 year old. The little kid dindn't know any better. It is not cute at all, not even funny. The 3 year old was way to young for that type of punishment.

I think punishing a 3-year-old publicly like this is cruel, not cute. 3 years old is too young. When they get old enough to know better, then punishing a child like this doesn't strike me as cruel. But because the child is only 3 years old and possibly still potty training, I don't think public humiliation is the way to go.
