I have watched the Miss USA pageant for a few years but I didn’t get to watch it this year. I think the pageant is somewhat degrading because they can’t have plus size models or even with a little meat on their bones. If I was a judge I would look for natural beauty and during the interviews I would ask normal questions where they couldn’t answer world peace. Although all these women are beautiful only one will stick out and I hope she is the one to win.

I did not watch the pageant. I dont mind beauty pageants, they dont really effect me so there fine I guess. I dont think there degrading to women, they decide to go out there. So if it is degrading they are the ones to blame. And if I was a judge I would look for the most beautiful girl out there?

I didn't watch the Miss USA pageant. I think some of the stuff they do in pageants are kind of dumb and degrading to women. If I were a judge I would look for a modest but confident woman in the Miss USA pageant.

I didn't know this was on last night. I have never actually seen a pageant before, unless Miss Congeniality counts! There not degrading to women. A pageant is just like a sport it teaches you certain qualities that you could possess for the rest of your life. I guess if I was a judge the one thing I would look for is confidence because it takes a lot to get on stage in front of people and judges.

I did not watch the pageant. I dont really have an opinion on this subject. Obviously the women in the pageant dont find it degrading. If they did they wouldnt be there. Well its a beauty pageant so I would look for the women I thought was the most beautiful if I was a judge.

No, I did not see the USA pageant. I think that some people take it to serious on focusing on the beauty on the outside. Well, in some ways yes because there are a lot of people who might not look as great as them but are beautiful on the inside and still asking why can't I be Miss. America. I would look for the joy that you could bring to the people of America or how much you wanted to help the people instead of yourself.

I knew it was on last night but, I didn't watch it. Personally I don't think pageants are entertaining to me I think its dumb. I think they are degrading women they are looking at them for how pretty they look and stuff. If I was a judge I wouldn't look at them as pretty on the outside it's is what is in the inside to me.

I did not watch the pageant last night. I think that beauty pagaents are awful because they teach people to judge by looks before anything else. Just because someone looks good in a bathing suit doesn't mean they should represent the country. At the same time though, it seems to be something that these people enjoy, so I guess I can't really judge them for doing what they love. If I was a judge, I would look for people who have had a successful life, as in ones who have been through college and made something of themselves, and not just worry about what their talent is.

I wish I watched it last night. I watch it every year but I guess that's going to change this year. I think beauty pageants are fun to watch because you get to know who's representing your country. The girls chose to do this, and they know that there is only one winner so it's not really degrading the others. If I were a judge, I would look for the best personality. I wouldn't want somebody who walks with an attitude and has no smile on her face. She's got to be outgoing and happy. But I'm definitely going to make sure there are no transgender queens to begin with. :)

I did watch the Miss USA pageant, only part of it. I think beauty pageants are awesome. I just know that all the girls that are in it are BEAUTIFUL. They aren't degrading women. If I was a judge in the Miss USA beauty pageant I would look for their personality, beauty, etc.

I did watch the Miss USA pageant last night. I like beauty pageants. They teach you confidence, poise and modeling. Most importantly, they teach you public speaking skills and they force you to be involved in your community/ country. Beauty pageants have been stereotyped alot. However, some pageants have rightfully gained them, such as Toddlers and Tiaras. A pageant like Miss USA involves both beauty and brains. All of these women are strong, smart and beautiful. If i was judging this pageant, i would look for a contestants beauty and how she models the clothes as well as how well and fast she can answer a question.

Naw I missed it. There are some pretty girls in beauty pageants. Then there is some girls that you wonder how they got in there. That's neat how they did a dance for all the girls. There's got to be alot of stress to be in that. Chris Stepp

No, I did not watch last night's Miss USA pageant. I really don’t care about beauty pageants. I don’t feel that they are degrading because it is like “appraising” the feminine ego. If I were a judge in the Miss USA beauty pageant I would look for a women whom is just as intelligent as she is beautiful.

I was going to watch the USA pageant but I didn't this year. Beauty pageants are fun to watch and interesting. I do think they make others wish to be like them, and want to be more than just themselves. I would look for not only beauty but outgoing, intelligent, and not shy.

No, I didn't watch the Miss USA Pageant last night. I like beauty pageants. To me, nothing is wrong with them. They give you confidence. It is just like a sport. To some people they might not consider it, but to me I think it is. If I was a Miss USA judge I would look for to see if they actually enjoy the thing they do, if they can model the clothes, and if they show poise and stuff.

No I did not watch it last night. I think beauty pageants are fun I've been in a few myself. No they are not degrading to women at all.

I didn't watch it last night. I don't think that there is anything wrong with beauty pageants. However, I'm sure it has got to be very stressful with all of the extremely pretty girls that are competing. -Josh Cutchins

No.I don't like beauty pageants. They have shown to degrad younger girls confidences, but it's okay they just need to stop raising the bar higher and higher. If I was a judge in the Miss USA beauty pageant I would look for a nice personality and to be poised.

I didn't even know the pageant was on last night, so no I didn't watch it. I like watching beauty pageants but I would never be in one. I could see where they would be degrading to women because everyone's definition of beautiful is different. I would pay the most attention to their question and answer section. I think looks are the least important thing to pick a winner by.

No I didn't see it. I think their pretty cool. No there showing how beautiful they are.

No I didn't watch last night's Miss USA pageants because it is not interesting to me. I think that the beauty pageants are crazy but for the people that win, they probably feel like they accomplished so much but to me its not really all that. These pageants are degrading to women because they are showing off there body to others just to be named Miss USA. I would look for personality and what kind of good deeds they have done for their community. Stuff that looks good on their record that would show that they are good citizen and does not worry so much about the clothing and appearance. I mean you are supposed to keep yourself up, but you should also give back to your community.

I did not watch the pageant last night. The first time I watched it was last year but I didn't even know it was on last night because I got home late. Beauty pageants can be both good and bad. As long as whoever wins has a good attitude and doesn't let it go to their head then it's a good thing. If the girl that wins is cocky then it's just not good because no one likes a person who has a bad attitude. Sometimes I think the girls are "fake" and just say what the judges want to hear. Honestly I've always wanted to do one but I'm not sure that I would like it. If I were a judge I would look for the most beautiful girl inside and out. I would want the most "well-rounded" girl to win.

No, I didn't watch the Miss USA pagent last night. I don't want to watch a bunch of skinny white girls dance around and suck up to thew judges . I'd rather watch My Wife And Kids . If i was one of the judges , i would look for the girl with the most genuwine attitude . I would also look for the girl with the modt respect . Not some stuck up pretty girl . Beauty is not everything .

Nope, I definitely didn't watch the Miss America pageant. I really don't like pageants because it probably makes the losers feel terrible about themselves. Not to mention the fact that the winners most likely act smug and stuck up too.
If I were a judge, I would look for anything but just beauty. Maybe, I don't know, good qualities like Trustworthiness, Truthfulness, etc.
