Should the parents be charged? Why or why not? Should Child Welfare or Social Services get involved? Why or why not? Have your parents ever allowed you to do something that, looking back, was completely stupid?

I would say... YES. I mean she or he, whatever they where they put a baby in a washer machine. Social services should take that baby. I mean my parents have always let me do what I wanted but they just told me that whatever I do is on me.

Yes the parents should be charged!!! How do you not know if your putting a baby in a washing machine?! Those parents are kinda really stupid so yes social services should get involved. I've done things that were stupid but I only told my parents about it afterwards. I still don't understand how you can put a baby in a washing machine and not notice.

No. The child was with the babysitter that doesn't really affect the parents. I don't see why social services should get involved because the parents were not with the child. I feel like the mother should take the baby sitter to court if anything. If I was the parent something would be done about it. No, I, for the most part have always made smart decisions.

No because the parent was not involved with the incident she was at work and they baby was in the care of the babysitter. Yes they should get involved but only against the babysitter and her boyfriend because when you are a parent at work and you leave your child with a babysitter you wouldn't think of negative things like this happening to your child. No my mom barely allows me to do anything honestly she's so over protective some days I wish I was a victim of child neglect but that would never happen.

If the parents get charged it's going to be on the national news. Why should the parents get charged when they trusted a babysitter to look after their child? They were working. The Social Services doesn't need to get involved. There's just no need for them to get in the middle of this. We all know who's at fault. I would be dead right now if I dd something completely stupid. They don't ever let me do anything.

No the parents shouldn't be charged. Why, because they didn't do anything. No the Child Welfare or Social Services should get involved. Why, because the parents didn't do anything wrong, they should had watch there kid little bet more. My parents never ever allowed me to do something that, looking back, was completely stupid.

The parents shouldn't be charged, but rather the babysitter. Obviously whatever social service problems there are, lay in the babysitter and the man that was there. I can't think of anything that my parents did that was stupid. My sister-in-law, however, is just about the worst mom ever when it comes to her kids' safety. Both my neice and nephew have 4 disks of files at the local ER for their injuries from the past three years.

The mom was at work and had no clue about this I don’t think she should get in trouble for it. She could have reported it when she saw it on the internet and hired a better babysitter but sometimes you can only do what you can do. This is so sad though being put in a washing machine, what would possible make this person do this! Would it not be quiet? These people should get in trouble, a lot of trouble.

I don't think the parent should be charged because the child was with a baby sitter. Child Welfare should not get involved, that lady could take the person that put her baby in the washing machine to court for that. My parent have probally have let me do something that was stupid, and I just don't remember.

I don't think that the mother should be charged but definatly the father's girlfriend and whoever that guy was. I think they may need to be involved because if they can't take care of their kid then someone else needs to.

The parents should be charged, they should know who they are putting their child with. Child services should take this child or at lleast come do daily checkups on the child. My parents never allowed me to do something like this, thats horrific.

That's funny as crap. Kinda messed up someone would do that. But it takes all kinds of people to make the world go round. Gotta love the USA.

The parents should go to jail for that. Child Services should take the child as far away from his parents as possible. I've done things like that but would've got in trouble if I was caught.

The man should be charged, he knew what he was doing. I don't think social services need to be involved because it wasn't the parent. No my parents don't let me do stupid things, if it is stupid I don't ask

Yes the parents should be charged. How could you let your child go with someone who is so stupid. Social Services should get involved. No one should put a child into a washing machine, it's dangerous. My parents have never allowed to me to do anything stupid like that. When I was little I used to hide in the dryer when we played hide and seek but no one was stupid enough to turn it on.

I think the father and babysitter should be charged. That baby could have been killed by the washing machine. Who would do that to a baby? Social Services should be involved, and the father shouldn't have visiting rights to see the baby. My grandma would never let me do something like that!

I think The guy that put the baby in the washing machine should be charged for it. I mean you can't not realize you're putting a baby in the washer. I don't think the parents should be punished if they weren't the ones that did it. I have done many stupid things in my life, but thankfully nothing too bad has ever happened to me. -Josh Cutchins

I think the baby sitter should be arrested. The parents weren't there like the mom said he was with the babysitter.

I think that the people that put that child in the dryer should go to jail because that is child endangerment and that was just plain childish and stupid. Child Welfare and Social Services should be get involved and the father and the father's girlfriend should be sued big time. My parents have never allowed me to do something stupid that I can think of at the moment.

The parents should be charged because this is awful. I think Social Services should lock the parents up for sure. My parents were always pretty protective so not really.

I don't think the mother should be charged. The babysitter and the father's girlfriend should be charged. The mother was at work and had no clue what was going until she saw the video so, no she shouldn't be charged. No, Social Services or Child Welfare should get involved. When I was like 3, I was playing Hide and Go Seek and I hid in the washing machine. They have never really allowed me to do something no where near like that.

The parents shouldn’t be charged because it was that random guy’s stupidity. Child Welfare and Social Services should get involved because these people are stupid. No, my parents haven’t ever allowed me to do something that was as stupid as this.

The man should be charged, he knew what he was doing. I think they may need to be involved because if they can't take care of their kid then someone else needs to. Yes, but most of the time I always do something stupid.

Yeah the parents should be charged, because placing a child in a washing machine is child endangerment. Yeah Social Service should get involved, to forget out who is endangering the child. No the never allowed me to do things that were completely stupid if it wouldn't have been good for my own welfare.

This is crazy. Yes, the parents should be charged. They should be charged because this is child abuse. The Child Welfare should get involved. No, my parents haven't ever allowed me to do something that stupid. I think if parents don't want to take care of their children, don't have any. It's simple!

I really think that the babysitter should be charged! Who doesn't look around for a kid when they're in a laundry mat anyway?! It's obvious that little kids are going to climb into the baskets and think it's a game of hide and seek for the babysitter/adult to find them.
Since the child ended up going to the hospital, they should definitely get Child Welfare or Social Services involved. The poor kid was in a washer for goodness sake!
As for doing something stupid, My parents would've killed us if we tried anything stupid like that.
