What do you think of Avery's story? Would you create a similiar bucket list for your child? Why or why not? What are some things on your bucket list?

This is so sad. I think creating this bucket list was a smart idea for people to understand what kind of life Avery had and the seriousness of the child's disease. If I had a child like this I sure would create a bucket list. It raises awareness and seriousness of what has taken her life. I haven't really thought of what is on my bucket list but if I had to chose some things I want to fly in a plane, sky dive, see a water fall, go out of the country, and dive in the ocean. -Morgan Dee
This is a sad story. I feel sorry for the kid. I wouldn't create a bucket list for my child. It would be like accepting the fact he's going to die before for he actually does which a parent shouldn't do. I don't have a bucket list. The reason I don't is simple I'm not planning on dying anytime soon. Kyle E.
I think it is sad that some children that die at a young age never have a chance to really live and experience life. Its almost like there life is stolen from them. But everyone dies at some point and maybe they are lucky that they dont have to go through all the hard times of life. But yes im all for a Bucket list I need to start mine!
~Courtney That's probably one of the saddest stories I've ever read. I probably wouldn't want to create a bucket list for my child, because that just shows that you expect them to die soon. I've never made a bucket list, but I guess I could think of a few things. For instnace, I'm going to get tattoos, go sky diving... probably buy a race car.. go to the Bahamas, stuff like that. I haven't put any thought into it because I hope I'm not dying anytime soon.
Awwwh. I think that this is really sad for a child to die so young. If I had a child like that I would make one for my child. I would make a similar bucket list so I could remember my child when he or she was alive and how much it ment to me. I'm not sure what I want in my bucket list yet.
I think this is a sad story.I don't think I would create a similar list. I don't really have a reason as to why not. I don't think it's necessary. I don't have anything on my bucket list. LaTesha
This is so sad. I think this story is inspiring though because everybody deserves to experience life before death. I think having a bucket list is a good thing because everybody should be able to broaden their things they did in life. My bucket list is very long and my two cousins and I every summer complete them, which makes things very fun. Every summer we scratch off about 10 things off our list and add about 30 its pretty cool.
Avery's story is sad and i feel bad for the family. I think I would wait until the kid was old enough to make their own bucket list so it would be what they would want to do. I wanna go to Ireland, Jump out of an airplane, ride in a hot air balloon, hang glide off some big mountain.
I think it's ok. If I did have a child, I don't think I will make a bucket list for he/her. Why not, because I would probably wait until he/she gets older and she can make her/he own bucket list. But if I did make a bucket list I would put sky diving, swim with the dolphins, and go to Hawaii. Jaquitta
:( This is sad. SMA must suck. Like this poor baby didn't even have a chance to live, except for five months. I would definitely create a bucket list for my child. Its something to look forward to. I don't know what I would put on it though.
This story is amazing. I think I would make a bucketlist for my child just not as intense of a bucket list. My bucket list for myself would be before I die is to start a family and to build my dream house.
Avery's story is very inspiring. But I'm not sure about some things on the bucket list such as the tattoo. She was so young she didnt have her own motives some people do not like tattoos. If my daughter or son could talk and had their own beliefs I probably would make them have a bucket list if they had a short life span. Some things on my bucket list are to go to the Carribean, travel a lot of different placfes go hiking in the rain forrest go to Australia. And as I go on, more seem to interest me. Jessica Blythe
That is really sad. At least her parents are letting her do as many things they possibly can. Just because they are going to die doesn't mean they can't go and do things. One of the things on my bucket list is going sky diving. -Josh Cutchins
This is really sad. She never really had a life. SMA must be a very serious disease. Yes, I would create a bucket list for my child if my child has the same thing or something similar and the doctors already had a plan for her/him to die. That was very sweet of her parents to do make one. While she was still alive, they made her life perfect. She was probably the happiest baby in the world. Even though she had a disease and stuff, she still got to do stuff. Her life barely even began when she died.
I think that all that she got to experience is amazing. I think that her story is sad, although. It would be horrible to know that your child was gonna die. I think that it's really cool that she was born on 11-11-11. We need to find cures for diseases like the one she had. There has to be something we can do to help them atleast reach the age of 20 and be able to live but reaching 50 would be even better. Diseases like this one are really sad to hear about because the outcome is never good. I don't really have a bucket list but there are some things I want to do like sky diving.
I think Avery's story is kind of good and sad. Yes, I think it's a nice thing and very kind thing to do for your own child. The only actually important of the things on my bucket list is to go to Greece.
This is so sad. Yes I would create a bucket list for my child. So The other people knows what is going to happen to the kid. I think creating this bucket list was a smart idea for people to understand what kind of life Avery had and the seriousness of the child's disease. -Travis Legate
I am sad that the baby died. I would not create a bucket list for my child. I say this because my bucket list might not be what my child wants to do. I really don't have a bucket list. But one thing I want to do before I kick the bucket is to swim with a dolphin.
This is really sad. I don't think it is fair. I wouldn't create a list, I would just spend as much time with him/her as possible. I don't want him/her to have a bucket list as a baby I just want him/her to have a well lived life. On my bucket list, i want to go sky-diving and play a professional sport.
This story is so very sad. I feel for everyone who has had SMA and if I think that someone should start an organization, to help find a cure for it. I really don't know if I would create a bucket list for my child because that is a decision that they should make on their own. I would probably put things like fly in a airplane or something like that.
This is a really nice story. I would create a bucket list for my child if they only had a few months to live. I think that if they are going to die soon, then they should do as much as they can, while they can. I have many things on my bucket list but here is a few; skydiving, hang gliding, and shoot a fully automatic weapon. I hope I get to do all of them.
Zach Cahalan, I think this is an awesome story. I think the bucket list was pretty cool. There are tons of things I would like to accomplish before I pass. A few are to get married, have kids, open my own business, retire.
That was cool. Even though she didn't know what wsas going on it was special. Not only was it a bucket list of things for her to do it was a bucket list for things that her parents could do with her before she passed. Always the good that die young. I couldn't make much of a better bucket list myself.
This story is to sad to believe . for a set of parents to know that their child is about to die . If something like that happened to my daughter , i would die . They are very strong individuals to have to go through what they went through . I wish them the best in life . I will keeo them in my prayers . :-(
Oh my gosh! This is so sad! That poor little girl didn't even have a chance to live her life. If only they had a cure to SMA. It sounds terribly painful. It's so sad that the little girl had to go through that in her short life. I would most definitely create a similar bucket list for my child.Especially if it can help other people get the word out of this horrible disease. There are a ton of things that I want to do in my bucket list. My top one would have to be travel to different countries to learn the culture and language. My second thing is probably to enter a dirt-biking tournament. (Because I've never been dirt biking before.)
I think her story is sad. I don't think I would make a bucket list for a baby because there isn't much they can do. Somethings on my bucket list would be going sky driving (not original) and I really want to go to Japan. I haven't put much thought into my bucket list.
