Gas prices are obviously high, and they are rising. What do you think is the cause of rising gas prices? Is there a solution? If so, what? Should gas stations be required to install gas pumps that give consumers the most gas for their money? Why or why not?

I think the cause of rising gas prices is that the people really just want to make more money.I think the solution for this problem could be just to make the prices lower. Yes gas stations should be required to install gas pumps that give consumers the most gas for their money. They should because its the RIGHT THING TO DO!!!

I feel as if the rising gas prices is just another way government is taking more money from us. Obviously the government doesn't know how to budget their money well so they take are money to help there problem. I don't know if this problem has a solution because if they lower gas prices that means they will higher the cost of something else that us consumers need. I feel like they should install those gas pumps and I don't know why they wouldn't want to those people have to pay for gas to and its not like they have to pay for them out of their own pocket.

I heard this last year and I don't know if its true. Apparently we have more then enough gas stored to last us years. So the price for gas doesn't have to do with the conditions of the middle east or where ever else we get gas. The gas companies just know that we need gas to survive and will pay the price no matter what it is to get the gas. So they raise the price and continue to do so because they know they can get more money if they do.

I think that the state the economy is in is the cause of rising gas prices. It costs more to produce things these days. I don't really know if there is a solution besides a better economy. I do think that gas stations should be required to install gas pumps that give consumers the most gas for their money. I feel this way because there is no reason that consumers should have to pay more than necessary for gas. It's not like gas station owners aren't already rich, they own a gas station.

Honestly I don't know why gas prices are going up. To me there are plenty of solutions it's just the matter of choosing the right one because it could lower the gas prices but it can also bring it up more. I feel like if they want the gas stations to do that they can but a lot of them disagree because they know if they brought the new gas pumps we would have to pay for the cost of it.

I think that the gas prices are rising even more because they know that we all need gas for our cars so we are going to buy it either way. Also, I think competition of other gas stations are rising the prices. I don't really know if their a solution. I think that gas stations should be required to install gas pumps that give consumers the most gas for their money. But either way we will have to pay for the new technology through taxes anyway. I don't know too much about gas and gas prices because I don't drive on my own yet.

I honestly think if they did install the new gas pumps that the price of gas would rise at the pump for us to help pay the expense of the new pump. I honestly think that the price of oil is not as high as they say and they need to start drilling off shore to become more self sufficient in the oil industry. This is coming from someone who spend $400 a month in gas and I believe that they can, and should lower gas prices.

I think they want more money, that probably why they rising the gas prices. Yes there is a solution to that. They could just do what the lady said and put the thing on it. Yes, gas stations should be required to install gas pumps that give consumers the most gas for their money. Why, because they deserved it.

I think these gas pumps should be put in because their already making money they don’t need more and more profit. During the summer your supposed to fill up in the morning or at night and never fill up when the truck is there because the goop in the tank gets mixed up and that goes in the gas again. Did you know that on the pump when you see the funky looking gas fumes coming out that’s the gas their charging you for that evaporated before it could get to your tank and the pump had a release spot for that just so they get more money. Also if you look at the worth of our dollar now days its a lot less so were forking out more bills but actually not paying a lot more than years past. A lot of people complain about gas prices but I don’t because were going to have to get it if we want to go somewhere so just fill up and go.

I think gas prices are rising because we need gas for our cars and they know that, so their trying to get more money. They know that no matter how high they raise the gas prices, we'll still buy it because we need it. I think they should install gas pumps that give consumers the most gas for their money.

I think the cause of rising is just because they want more money, and they know we nee gas in our cars in order to get places. The solution is just lowing gas prices when its hot out. I think gas stations should be able to install gas pumps that give consumers the most gas for their money. Because it is the right thing to do you could be help someones life:)!

I have no idea what makes the gas prices rise I just know it;s not good. There is a solution, the gas stations lower their prices. I think all the gas stations should have the new gas pumps if they are in warm weather areas because it's unfair the prices are already high enough

Gas prices are probably rising because the gas companies are expecting a lower ammount of gas to be supplied by middle eastern countries. To prepare for the possible shortage, they raise the prices now to better adjust for the high prices to come. Prices go up due to higher demand, so if there was more product, the prices would go down. With this logic, if there were more oil drills and refineries, there would be cheaper gasoline. The companies should install these gas pumps, because even if the cost is pushed onto the consumers, it will pay off in the long run. Although $2.4 Billion sounds like a lot, it would not take long to pay off the debt because gas is purched so often by most people.

For one, that dude said that "gas stations are cheating you at the pump." No. Obviously you don't know what you're talking about, Mr. Jeff Rossen. There's no secret. The only secret is that we get an order of gas that has a price stuck way up than what's on the sign outside. Get it straight, dude. They're isn't a solution except to lose money. If weather is such an issue then maybe they need to get pumps that do control the temperature. And if a gallon of gas is four dollars at a non-brand (Southern) place and a brand place (Citgo, Exxon...), you might as well by from that brand place. At least you'll get more. But no. People have to go to a place that's a penny cheaper. Like people, what are you going to buy with that one penny you saved. You can barely buy anything that's less than a dollar.

Don't gas prices rise when consumers aren't buying products the gas prices rises ,but when the price of gas goes down that means consumers are buying. I think the solution would be to lower prices on products and if people buy more products the gas prices go down. Yes. Because gas costs a lot so if they lower the gas prices go down people will buy more and the economy might do a little better.

I think that the cause of rising gas prices is GREED. Oil companies have full reserves which should mean that the prices should be lower, but they're just greedy. Also they buy drilling leases just to say it's theirs for later so they can charge more money for the oil that is already drilled. I do believe there is a solution, however, big gas companies pay people off to make sure they keep making money. -Josh Cutchins

It's harder to get. I don't think there is much we can do unless we trade. I don"t think it will happen if we fight it.

I don't have a clue of why gas so high. Yes, there is a solution drop the gas prices. Yes, I think gas stations should be required to install gas pumps that give consumers the most gas for their money. I think this because we as citizens pay for gas and everything else by the form of tax. We are paying taxes I think that enough.

I think they are rising gas prices because we are overusing gas and also they know the summer is right around the corner and we'll be driving alot more so they think they can raise them. Yes, I think they should install those special pumps. I believe these pumps will also bring certain gas stations more business.

Gas prices are high because there isn't very much left of it. A solution for this is to buy oil shipments from nations that have a lot of it. That's the main thing that made gas prices go so high in the first place. It's because Iran was cutting off oil shipments and they could've cut it off to ours.

I think it's rising because everybody is traveling now a days. During the summer, the gas goes up anyways by a little because of all the traveling. Also, maybe gas is running out. Maybe they are raising the prices because the gas levels are getting low. Maybe their is a solution. I just don't know what the solution is. Also, I think they should, so consumers are getting their moneys worth for their gas.

Gas prices are very high. I'm not really sure what the solution to this problem is but I think that we need to find a cheaper and easier way to run or cars. Like salt water or something. I think that everyone should have the gas pumps with the temperature gauges on them. Gas companies shouldn't be able to cheat us out of our money. If we paid for that amount of gas then we should get every little bit of it.

I think gas prices are so high because the economy is so bad and I think the government could do more about it then what they have. I don't think there is a solution because its out or our control. I think gas stations should install gas pumps that give you the most gas for your money because just about everyone uses gas. If the gas prices keep going up people are going to stop driving their cars and start riding public transportation, then they wont be making any money at all.

Honestly I don't know why gas prices are going up. I think the solution for this problem could be just to make the prices lower. I think they need to install the new gas pumps. Its better because people are getting more gas with the money they put in.

The gas prices right now is crazy . Tge gas prices need to really go down . I think they neeed to put the new pumps in the gas stations . I wonder how they would feel if it was them .

I think the cause of rising gas is because it is a nonrenewable resource, and we get some gas from other countries, the solution could only be our economy getting better. I think gas pumps should have to install gas pumps that give the amount of gas people are suppose to get for their money because it's not right if you already pay a lot of money and you don't get what your paying for.

I don't know why gas is so high but this needs to be fixed because in this economy, we have to be a penny pincher. Soon gas will be 10 dollars, and dollar stores will turn into 5 dollar stores. I think that all the gas stations should have the new pumps installed and I think that the government should have to pay for it instead of the consumer's, because we already pay for everything else. Gas Stations need to have the new gas pumps installed because it is not cool to cheat people out of there money and soon if the prices continue to rise, then soon someone will probably invent a hovercraft or something in that nature.

Ok first of all don't complain about gas prices when your mommy and daddy pay for your gas anyway! I think that it's ridiculous that we are buying oil from over seas when we have more here in America and it would help our economy as well. They should be required to install these pumps so that we get more gas for our prices. ZACH CAHALAN
