Whose side are you on, the nurses' or Mr. Kennedy's? Why? Do you think the lawsuit would have been filed if the father's last name wasn't Kennedy? Why or why not?

I believe that there is good on both sides of this situation. I believe that a father has the right to "take a walk" with his own child. I also believe that it was wrong that the nurses tried to grab the child out of there fathers hands. It put the child in danger and in my opinion put the father in a position to defend his child. On the other side of things the father should have never tried to break the rules and leave with the child.
The nurses all the way. They caught everything on camera I don't see how this is even an argument. I agree that this case is mostly about money. His wife, in my opinion, has no right to even be in this because she wasn't even present at the time. I don't feel as if he was trying to do harm to his child but he should of just listened to the nurses instead of ignoring them the first time cause they were just taking the baby's safety into consideration. -Morgan Dee
I'm on the nurses side. They were just trying to do their jobs and protect the baby. The father claimed he was trying to protect it but if he hadn't have taken it to begin with then the nurses wouldn't have tried to get it back. I don't know what the last name has to do with whether the lawsuit would have been filed.
I think this is crazy! I’m on the nurses side because Kennedy had no reason to take his baby. The nurses know how crucial it is to keep the baby at the hospital and they were trying to protect the baby. If he was so worried about insurance and the price of the hospital he’s crazy because poor people go to the hospital too, you get payment plans or government help. I think if this lawsuit was filed under anybody but Kennedy it would be considered kidnapping because it happens all the time.
I am on the nurses' side. What do you think the nurses are there for ? I'm pretty sure that the nurses know what's best for a newborn baby. I don't think the lawsuit would have been filed if the father's last name wasn't Kennedy. The nurses were trying to protect the welfare of a baby whose immune system probably wasn't well enough to be outside. This man is obviously crazy. Your last name does not give you certain allowances. LaTesha
I think that Kennedy was at fault because he still needs to follow hospital procedure even if he is the father. Probably because any other person would have already been in jail.
I'm more so on Kennedy's side. If it's his child what right do the nurses have to try and take the kid away, its not like he was hurting the baby. Also those camera videos were horrid in quality it's impossible to tell who did what to who. Just because his last name is Kennedy doesn't mean he should get special treatment but that's not really the issue here. If the nurses wanted him to put his baby in a carrier or whatever then they should have just gone to get him one instead of trying to stop him from taking his baby for a walk. Kyle E.
I was on the nurses' side because I feel like the nurses' did what they was suppose to do. Even if he is the father Kennedy had no right to try to take the child outside. That was a new born baby and could be exposed to anything outside of the hospital. Honestly I do because even though his last name is what it is he was still wrong and anyone else that would have done it would be in the wrong to.
I'm on the nurse side. Why would he even try to take a new born baby outside anyway? One reason I'm on the nurses side is because the nurses were just trying to protect the baby. They also have it all on camera he could've just listen to the nurses and this could've be avoided. If the last name wasn't Kennedy he mighty have got arrested for kidnapping. Since they're not married in all.
I'm on the nurses side, because the father had no right to take the baby out for a walk. The baby was a newborn and it shouldn't have been going outside anyways. The nurses were trying to protect the baby and I agree with them. I think a lawsuit would've been filed, because if the last name wasn't Kennedy they would consider it kidnapping.
I'm on the nurses' side. Why because even though he is the father, that don't mean that he can take the all over the place in the hospital. Yes, I think the lawsuit would have been filed if the father's last name wasn't Kennedy. Why, because they would probably would had reacted differently, I guess. Honestly I think its not right to not filed a lawsuit all because of his last name. Jaquitta
Courtney: I think that the nurses are in the right, because the hospital has rules for a reason and no one should be allowed to break them, whether they are a Kennedy or not. He especially should not have kicked or otherwise harmed any of the workers in attempting to take the child. It is odd that he wasn't allowed to take the baby after three days of being in the hospital, but generally the child is supposed to stay with either a nurse or the mother, so the hospital should not be faulted for that. I feel like the lawsuit would probably not have happened if the father wasn't a Kennedy, because it is well known that Kennedys have money and that if the hospital wins, they will be greatly financially advantaged. Mr. Kennedy needs to realize that he is not above laws and regulations just because of his family background, and that the instance could understandably be mistaken for a criminal act.
I'm not on any side because it is that mans child and even though the nurses knew that he was not supposed to take the baby out for a walk they should have just called the police or anything else besides trying to take the baby back. The lawsuit would have still been filed if the fathers last name weren't Kennedy because some nurses were hurt while this was going on.
I don't know whose side to take, but I think it's the nurses' fault. They were trying to stop the dude. They should've let security handle the situation. If he hadn't been a 'Kennedy', there wouldn't have been a lawsuit. They just wanted money. I really think that this was planned out by the other nurses. And whatever happened to security being there? Throughout all of the security videos, I didn't see a single security guard or a policeman! And that other part when the nurse falls, you can't even see the video properly! To me, it looks like she just falls in front of the father. It literally looks like she just rolls in front of him. What everybody's doing is just assuming. People have issues!
I'm on the nurses side because you are not aloud to take your baby until it is ready. The lawsuit still would have been filed because it is not aloud so action needs to be taken.
The nurses' side because I dont think they should charge him unless they were hurt but the nurses know what is better for the baby more than the new parents. I dont think the lawsuit would be filed just becasue of his name, I feel they were jsut looking out for the baby but it wasnt very serious. Its on the news because he's a Kennedy.
I'm on the nurses' side. They know what can and can't harm a newborn baby. He should have just listened to the nurses and none of this would have ever happened. -Josh Cutchins
I'm on the nurses' side because Kennedy is guilty. They got him on tape, you can't more prove than that. The nurses was just doing their job, Kennedy is was in the wrong. The lawsuit would have been filed if the father's last name wasn't Kennedy. Because that's how the people are when dealing with "famous" people. If it was a "normal" person that person would be in jail with no questions asked.
I’m with the nurses. Mr. Kennedy was unreasonable. His newborn needs to stay in the hospital. His last name doesn’t make a difference. He endangered a newborn baby, and injured nice women, whom where just trying to protect his child.
I would say it is about half and half. He shouldn't of tryed to take the new born baby out of the hospital. On the other hand the nurses shouldn't of acted like that. Nurses are not supposed to act like that at first or they should of went and got someone. He shouldn't of kciked a nurse either.
I'm on the nurses side because Mr. Kennedy should not have tried to take his newborn child outside if the nurses told him it wasn't a allowed. Yes, because the nurses were assaulted. ZACH CAHALAN
I actually don't know what side to choose. The father should have a right to have a walk with his baby if he asked and he did but they said no so yes he did violate the hospital rules. The nurses had a right to ask him, but shouldn't automatically take the baby. He had a right for defense. The nurses' do have a right to see what he was doing though. So each person has their faults. I don't think the lawsuit would have been filed if it wasn't a Kennedy. I think it should be filed anyway, but they are partly famous so they are going to get more attention then any other everyday person.
I am on the nurses side. They have proof of Mr. Kennedy pushing down one of the nurses. I don't think it has anything to do with who he is. He shouldn't have gone against the hospital rules. He could have waited to take the baby outside for a few days. I think Kennedy was being a bit ridiculous and his wife wasn't even there, so how can she say the nurses were the ones doing wrong. The nurses were only doing their job and trying to protect the baby.
I'm on both sides, Kennedy should't have busted in and took the newborn like that. The nurse tried to stop in every way she could. If he wasn't a Kennedy he would really end up in jail.

The nurses may have handled it the wrong way because he is the father the baby and they acted as if he was some stranger trying to take the new born down stairs. A law suit probably would not have been filed if his name wasn't kennedy because i'm sure things like this happen all the time. There are many alltercations between nurses and newborn parents.
I am on the nurses side because they take care of the baby. Also the nurses waited until the mother was alright. I think the lawsuit would be filled out.
I am on the nurses' side. All evidence points to Mr. Kennedy being in the wrong. No one is allowed to take a new born away from the nursery or his/her mother until the hospital allows them to do so and Mr. Kennedy should follow this rule along with everyone else. The video clearly shows Mr. Kennedy using force to take the baby outside of the hospital and the nurses just trying to do their job to make sure he follows the rules.I think that the lawsuit would have been filed even if his last name wasn't Kennedy.
I am on the nurses' side because, that was totally wrong for him to take the baby out of the hospital for air. It makes you think that he was suspicious of something. He should have just left the baby with the mother until it was time for them to leave. It wasn't like he was never going to get a chance to spend time with the child. I think the lawsuit would have still been filled for anyone because no one should attempt to do anything like what Mr. Kennedy did.
