Describe your reaction to the video. Do you think the parents are right to accuse the school systems? Do you believe social media could be partially blamed for the mass hysteria? If you think neither are to blame, what do you think is causing this mysterious illness? If you found out social media sites were causing illnesses, would you stop using them?

I'm not really sure how to react to this video honestly. To me, it is some what confusing. It says it could be coming from social media but it's not telling you how it could be. I feel as if the parents are angry because there just trying to find answers and the first place I would probably go is to the school as well. The reason I would go to the school is because it's happening to more than one teen in the same school. This was an interesting video but very mysterious.

When I watched this video I was a little shocked. I think the parents are just confused and need somebody to blame so they picked the school. I don't think that social media could cause those symptoms but I'm not a doctor either so i don't know. I wouldn't stop using the sites until I experience symptoms myself.
I think the school should be to blame. If it was social media not only girls would be affected. I feel like something in the school is only affecting girls because our hormones, like the water or something is changing their body systems and is making them “twitch”. School systems always like to blame other things and don’t try to find the problem because their too lazy. I have had a headache for two years and people swear it’s the mold in our school but if I told the school they would blame every other thing. If social media was really to blame why did it only affect a dozen girls in the same area, that doesn’t make sence.
My reaction to the video is shocking! I think the parents are right to accuse the system. One reason is because it's a few people getting this illness from the same school. I also think if I found out the social media sites were causing illnesses I would try to stop it too. I would also argue to the school until they get to the bottom of this.
I think this video is crazy. it in a way makes sense to me how that could develop but in another aspect I don't really understand it. In the video I can understand the parents being worried, but them saying that the school board was not doing their job is silly. The school board talked about the air and water tests they performed. If the parents are that outraged then they should simply transfer their kids to another school and stop being foolish.

My reaction to this video is really sad.In a way I do believe the parents are right to accuse the school system.I also believe that social media could be partially blamed for the mass hysteria. If I found out that social media sites were causing illnesses,I would stop using them because I wouldn't want the illnesses. Its also very sad for the people who has it!!!
Yes, I do think the parents are right to accuse the school system. I really dont know what could be causing the mysterious illness. Yes, I would stop using the media sites for sure. No, I don't think soical media could be partially blamed for the mass hysteria. I was shocked that you can actually get the illness for a school.

I don't really know what to think after watching this video. I don't think that the parents are right to accuse the school systems because they seem just as much looking for answers as the parents. I don't see how social media could be partially blamed for the mass hysteria but then again I'm not a doctor or anything so I don't really know. I don't know whats causing this illness but I'm curious to see whether they figure it out or not. If I found out media sites were causing illnesses I probably wouldn't stop using them because I don't think illnesses can come from websites you read.
I think the parents are right from accusing the school for this illness. I don't think social media would do this to the girls, because if it was, we'd have the "twitching". I think the illness is coming from either something in the school or something outside of the school. I wouldn't stop using the site until i actually saw the symptoms myself and they actually were affecting me.
When I watched this video all I could do was laugh. When they where interviewing that chick and she started flinching like over that I got weak. And to believe that they blamed social media. That is there way of blaming something else for being addicted to some drug and getting ticks from it. That is my personal opinion and I think there parents have nothing better to do than to blame something else for there childrens problems.
Wow...I don't even know what to say. The fact that the media could potentially have this effect on us is crazy. If it is true, in this case, the internet is by far doing more harm than good. If there is some explanation for this, and the school happens to be responsible, i believe the parents have a right to accuse them and possibly take them to court. However, I wanna know how? How can certain types of media scientifically be doing this to us? They need to call Dr. House, because i have no idea. If i knew for sure that social media sites were doing this to us, i would never return to one again.
I think the disease these girls are going through is extremely odd, and seems rather inconvenient for normal daily life. I'm not sure if the school necessarily has anythnig to do with the outbreak, but it is very odd that so many girls are experiencing these twitches in such a compact area. Pressure felt from social medias may have something to do with these occurances, but it is hard to completely blame something as potentially safe as Facebook for a serious epidemic like this. It is possible that the train crash could have something to do with the problems, even though it happened so long ago. I don't use social media sites as it is, so if a discovery like this is true, it wouldn't really affect me other than for my friends and family.

I think that this is the craziest thing I have ever heard. How can social media play a role in mass hysteria? I use social media almost 24/7, and I'm perfectly fine. This is such a retarded video. If the answer were really to be "social media", I wouldn't stop using it. On top of that, the parents decide to blame the school for the kids' condition. This is wrong.
I think this is some wierd stuff going on. I don't know who to blame, I've never seen anything like it. I don't think social media is the cause. That sounds like something stupid. They need to find out what it really is.

From watching this video, I really don't know what to say. The school should have looked into the chemical spill immediately as it happened. I don't think social media has anything to do with it at all, because if so, then not only those girls would have been affected, but millions around the world would have developed the symptoms. If I knew that social media was causing those illnesses, I wouldn't completely stop using them, I just wouldn't use them as much.
I think that there is a possibility that this mass hysteria could be fake. I think that the girls may be doing it for attention. It reminds me of the Salem Witch trials where girls got caught up in this big lie because they pretended to be affected by witches. If it is real then I have no idea what could be causing it but I don't think that it's social media sites. If anything it may have something to do with the chemical spill that occurred.
In my opinion there is nothing the schools can do about these problems, obviously its happening other places if people around the world are posting videos as well.I believe it could be caused by a bunch of different things but who will ever know! I wont change the way i do things just because it happened to someone else, thats like saying you wont ride in a car ever again just because your bestfriend died in an accident.ZACH CAHALAN
My reaction from this video is that it's crazy! Yes I think it is right because the parents have a right to worry about their childrens health. Yes I do believe that it could have something to do with this disease. I think that the school system and maybe even the city should get down to the problem and fix it. I also believe that some of these girls may be faking it just to get the attention.
I think that whatever they do or see on a regular basis would be a cause of the illness. I seriously doubt that the school would be the reason why they are suffering. The school doesn't determine what they do during their free time. I don't know what social media does to make them like this unless they have problems when they use it. If I felt that kind of illness, then I would watch out for the things I do on my free time.

My reaction was shocking. It was shocking because I haven't heard or seen anything like this. I think the parents should be worried about the illness in the school. I don't think social media should be partially blame for this illness. But if scientists are sure that it is social media causing this, I think we should limit our use of social media.
I think this video is crazy! I think the parents have the right to blame the school system. The parents are worried about their children. I don't think that social media has nothing to do with it. If social media had something to do with it then boys and girls would have the "twitching". Also, people from other states and all around the world would get it also. I use social media all the time and I don't have it. Also only some girls from the same school have it. That's a little bit mysterious. If I found out that social media sites caused illnesses, I would try my best to stop using them. It would be hard, but I would somehow. It also might not be neither social media or the school system. It might be something that is genetically they would get after a period of time. I really don't know, but I don't think that social media has anything to do with it.
Its pretty crazy makes you think twice about using the computer. no cause the school doesn't let kids get on Facebook and alot of other sites. I think it could maybe but I'm not certain. of-course I would stop.
I think the girls just want attention and it has nothing to do with the school or maybe the are on drugs. The girls are the only ones who know what is going on. Social media has nothing to do with this. No I don't think I would stop using it because its a way to communicate.
Oh my gosh.....I can't believe that something as serious as Mass Hysteria could be caused by social media. I can understand that pressure from other students in the school could cause the girls to "twitch". But social media? If that were the case, why haven't there been any boys been affected? Facebook and other sites for social media aren't just for girls. The only thing that could possibly cause those girls to "twitch" as badly as they do, they have to be on something. Otherwise everyone would be affected.
As for the social media being the cause of this, I don't believe so. It would affect adults and teen boys just as much as it affects these teen girls. On top of that, it's in the one school and it's not spreading to others.
If I did in fact know that social media was the cause of this I would, personally, be scared. I don't believe I would have the guts to use the internet ever again if I knew that social media was the cause for this mysterious Mass Hysteria. The last thing that anyone needs is to have to undergo therapy for something that may or may not be cured by something they did by choice. Which was obviously using the internet. No one needs to use the internet. So why would anyone want to cause such pain and misfortune upon themselves over something so meager?
Well, maybe it is a good thing I don't have a Facebook. I feel so bad for the teens with this condition. I don't believe its the schools fault. I think it may have something to do with social media. Police should be looking into this more. I haven't even heard anything about this until now and I watch the news every morning. Kids and teens these days use technology for everything and I don't think its right. I babysit a nine year old who has a laptop, cell phone, flat screen tv in her room, and a new touch i-pod. It is making them grow up faster and learn things faster then what they should. I plan on not raising my children like that. If I were those teens, I would stop using social media sites just to be safe. This is very sad but I figured it would happen sometime.
I don't think they should keep accusing the school system when they did get a report and it came back negative. I believe social media could be the blame when it comes to some teens because its all in your mental mind set if you follower others or not but at the same time I wouldn't blame it on the social network because a lot of people around the use social networks even some adults and they haven't had any problems. I think the illness really have to do with the teenage mind or they could just have mass hysteria. If I found out that media sites do cause this illness I don't know if I would stop using them because honestly I don't use them that often now.
