The taxes on soda and candy shouldn’t been raised because people can’t afford things as it is with taxes. I don’t think higher taxes will because people will not be able to afford them. Higher taxes will make me by less candy. No I don’t think some goods should have higher taxes.
Candy is not a necessity but other things that are being taxed are and shouldn't be in my opinion. I still think everyone will buy candy, I don't think it will affect it at all. But still they should pay more for things that are just a pleasure. I would still buy the same amount of candy probably. I think things that are needed in the every day life should not be taxed.
I think that sweets should have higher taxes, to discourage too much sugar intake, among the younger generation and those who suffer with obesity. I think only sweets and sodas in particular, just because a lot of people like these things and they are a leading cause to obesity.
I think the candy and soda are not the reason for obesity. I actually think that fast food is the main reason for obesity. I think that putting higher taxes on candy wouldn't change a thing. I think fast food restaurants should have higher taxes on food because it is so unhealthy.
My answer was Yes it should have higher taxes. I think it will prevent people from buying the chocolate and soda because of the price. I think higher prices would prevent me from buying candy and soda because we are already in a bad economy so why would we spend money ion useless things such as candy and soda.I think Cigarettes, Alcohol, and some Prescription drugs along with soda and candy should have higher taxes. Anything that is processed food should have a higher tax then Fresh food.
I voted that taxes on soda and candy should be raised because I believe that it would be effective. The obesity problem in America will continue because of easy access to the products that help this issue, and raising taxes will make them less accessible. Higher taxes on soda and candy would definitely make me buy less because I wouldn’t want to spend so much money on unnecessary things. I do believe that certain products should have higher taxes than others, like tobacco and alcohol. Higher taxes on these products could reduce the amount that people purchase and use because in a recession like this, nobody has enough money to spare on more than they absolutely need.
I believe that we shouldn't raise the taxes on candy because either way they are still going to pay for it. But it may also help out our obesity in our country it may help out a little bit but mainly people obesity comes from fast food , so they should rise it up on that if they wanted to stop the obesity rate. Yes because I wouldn't pay an arm and a leg for candy. No they should be less that's our main health food to eat they should be lowered.
I thank that even if they did raise taxes on candy people will still get it and they would not even notice if the price went up. Like every body that want it and if they want it they will get it. I personally thank that they should not raise the prices on candy. People will buy it no mater what.

Taxes on soda and candy should be higher because they are bad for us. Candy will make you gain weight and soda is bad for your liver and other organs if you drink too much of it. No, raising the taxes on candy will make our obesity problem decrease. Yes, I will buy less candy if taxes goes up on candy. I really don't buy candy now. No, I don't think certain goods that we need should have higher taxes on them than others.
Who voted yes? That is stupid. If people want to eat all the candy in the world and get fat, then that is their choice. I do believe higher taxes could possibly affect the obesity problem in the country because people are earning less money. Higher taxes would definitely cause me to buy less candy. I do not make enough money to blow it all on expensive candy. I do not think certain goods should have higher taxes.
well i dont think that they should raise them cause the economy is already bad. and it wont stop people from being fat cause they still going to buy them. no it wouldn't make me buy less candy. i would buy the same amount.
I do no think that they should raise taxes on certain goods. I think higher taxes will affect the obesity problem in America. I will buy less candy if they raise the taxes. But there are some people who really need sweet like people with diabetes.
No they should not tax candy. Its our decision to buy it and eat it. If they raised the taxes on it, I would still buy it.
