All across the country responsible citizens will be casting their vote for Senate members, House of Delegate members, and local officials, such as Treasurer, Sheriff, Commissioner of the Revenue, etc. The portion of today's ballot that most directly affects you is the election or re-election of the Windsor District School Board Member. I honestly voted for T. Hayes Griffin, Jr. because he is the only one I have heard about so he must be good. After I voted, I realized that he was the only being voted for as well. It's important to vote because you're choosing somebody to represent either us locally or nationally. Local and National votes are equally important because both have major impacts on what is decided for people as a whole.
I agree with Perkins More than Griffin. The job of a school bored member is many things such voting on decisions and budget. You should want to vote because there small decisions affect you in many ways. Local elections are more important because they effect you more than national elections do. Yes, National elections do effect you but not as much as local.
I voted the way I did because we need a person who will help change the way we are educated to benefit us better. The responsibility of a school board member is to help the students to maintain the students to learn more stuff and better benefits. The decisions they make do not effect me. It's important to vote because it helps you show your expressions about somebody and it shows if you think they have what it takes to do so. I think that the presidential elections are more important because it gives you a chance to see what person will make the US a better country.

I voted for Mrs. Perkins. I think we would most likely be able to have our colors back to blue and black because of her. It was Hayes Griffin who decided to change them back to the original colors. Its important to vote because its our duty as an American citizen. It think Local and National are both important because they both affect us as a whole.

I didn't pay attention to this election at all. I just voted because of what I read. I don't know the responsibilities of a school board member, but I know that it will affect me in many ways. I think that local elections are more important because they have a greater effect on you and where you live. I think that national elections effect the whole nation but not just you.
I voted the way I did because this retired biology teacher has no experience in the school board. The responsibility of a school board member is to keep the budget of the school lower or equal to the budget the state gives out every year. This affects our classes, teachers, and everything else. Its important to vote because its your chance to have a say in government affairs. Both are important, because both make changes that affect your life.

I voted for T. Hayes Griffin Jr, because it seems he has a lot more he would like to accomplish. I think that it is very important for all teachers to know how to work with/teach, special needs kids. That is important to me, because teachers should know what they might have to change and what their getting into in the future. He say's that he has already saved the county money; which is a good thing. I just hope whoever wins that they actually make the changes, and stick with their word!
I think Julia Perkins would be the best choice for the school board member. I personally think someone who is going to be on the school board should have a good education and Perkins has the better education of the two. The decisions they make have a major effect on us because they are deciding some huge things for our school! It is important to vote because we need to make sure someone good gets elected, someone who will make changes for the better. Someone who will actually follow through with what they say they're going to do, instead of just being all talk! I know Hayes Griffin personally. His son and I are best friends. I have been around him and he indeed seems like a good candidate to have the Windsor seat on the School Board. The school board member’s decisions affect us by what they vote on to do with the school system is going to be in affect in the future. It is important to vote because you want a say in who will make certain decisions for you. However, the local elections affect your living area/environment to an extent.
I voted for Julia Perkins for the position of the Windsor District School Board Member because I believe, based on the article we read, that she is better qualified. The responsibility of a school board member is to keep the students’ best interests in mind when they help make important decisions for our county. The decisions a school board member makes affect the children and their parents, the livelihood of the school system employees, and the economic well-being of the community. It is important to vote because it is our civic responsibility and it gives people a chance to have their opinions on important topics heard in this country. I believe that the local elections are more important than the presidential elections because although the choices the president make will obviously affect us, the decisions made by people holding local positions will impact us quicker and more effectively.
I voted for Perkins because I feel like she will do a better job. School board members do a lot for the school they dictate what goes on in the halls of WHS. It is important to vote because you are voting for the person who runs your school. The national vote is more important because they run the whole country.
I voted the way I did because Ms. Julia Perkins seems fit, for the position. She's been a residence of the area longer therefore she may know more than her opponent. The responsibility of a school board member is to represent our county the best way possible as well as to help our schools succeed educationally. When you want something you vote for it and when you vote for it, there's a chance that you'll get what it is that you want. This is why it’s important to vote. I think the national/presidential elections are more important because that is more critical to our lives than local elections
I voted the way I did, because I think that Perkins will really be a great person for the Windsor District School Board. The responsibility of a school board member is to help schools in their district succeed. The decisions they make can really affect the schools, like if they chose to cut the budgets it could really affect the schools. It is important to vote, because it can control who controls a certain position. I think the national/presidential is more important, because it determines who runs the country.
No mater who gets it I thank that they will be good. I thank that it will be good to have a community fild for us to go out and play some sports. But I don’t know about all that money going to the middle school why don’t that just remodel it. That just what I thank, what about you.
