Black Friday!

I shopped from 2am until 8pm this past Friday. Did you go shopping on Black Friday? Why or why not? If so, did you experience any "competitive shopping"? Why do you think the Friday after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday?

No, I didn't go shopping. I didn't have anyone to go with. I have no idea why they call it "Black Friday."

I didn’t go Black Friday shopping because I was at my aunt’s house. I don’t know why the Friday after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday.

I did not go shopping on Black Friday because my mom was in the hospital and I had to help take care of my baby brother. The Friday after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday because that's when everything is on sale and its not expensive as if it wasn't Black Friday and you can buy more stuff and save loads of money.

Yes, I did go shopping on Black Friday. I shopped at 9:00-11:00 am Thursday morning then from 10 pm Thursday night to 7 am Friday. I did experience some competitive shopping. These people wanted some cameras at Wal-Mart and all I did was ask for a GPS and this jerk wanted to bite my head off! I was like woah! Nevertheless, I had fun. I think the Friday after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday is because that is when everything is cheaper and that was when the stock market dropped... I want to say. However, I am not sure.

I did go shopping on Black Friday and Saturday. We usually go every year. What can you say, there are great sales! I think that there is always "competitive shopping". Even when it isn't Black Friday, people get crazy with shopping. I do not know why it is called Black Friday. Although, I do remember learning about an event in history that had led to the name "black Friday".

I didn’t go black Friday shopping. I don’t think all of the ciaos is worth it. I couldn’t deal with all the people! People go a little too crazy with the whole thing in my opinion. I’m not really sure why it would be called black Friday.

I went “real” Black Friday shopping this year with my best friend. We went to the outlets in Williamsburg and we got there at 7:30 pm Thursday night in order to be at the Coach store that opened at 10 pm. We finally left around 1 am and went back to the hotel. I didn’t really experience any “competitive shopping” but there were so many people there that it was hard to really find anything. I think they call the after thanksgiving sale Black Friday because EVERYONE goes shopping and it’s absolutely crazy.

I didn't go black friday shopping. Because it seems too crazy for me, and I do not want too get trampled. From what I saw on the news reports, people will be very competitive during Black Friday. I do not know what Black Friday means.

I started waiting in line at 7pm at bestbuy and than I went to alto of other place and we didn’t stop till 12 the next day. At bestbuy every body was waiting in line and then right when the doors open the people got out of the cars and tried to run up their and then the police got in it.

I went Black Friday shopping this year for the second time, but I don’t think it’s truly worth it. I went to be around my friends and sisters. I bought stuff, but I didn’t see any really great deals like people make you think there are. I didn’t see a whole lot of competitive shopping, but I saw a lot of people steal stuff. I think it gets its name from something like all of the stores are in the red all year and during this they go into the black. I don’t shop to be competitive, maybe because I don’t have a lot of people I need to buy for or I don’t have that big of interest in something to stress myself, but it’s definitely an experience.

I did not go shopping on black Friday. I did not have the time to go anywhere. I think it is called black Friday because people come out of the stores with black bruises all over them from all the chaos.
