Yes, bottom line he and his partner deserve the death penalty. There is no excuse or reason for them to spend life in prison or get out. I don’t think another type of sentencing is necessary due to the type of crime. The only thing I could think of that would be better than the death penalty is not supported by our justice system and is prohibited by the Geneva Convention.
The death penalty is a very gruesome punishment that I believe should be enforced. I hear people say that the death penalty should be abolished. My question is: Why would we need to abolish something that is only used when a person provokes it? People can avoid the death penalty if they simply follow the law and act as a good citizen would. Therefore, those men deserve the death penalty.
Of course I think he deserves the death penalty.I agree with the death penalty because he was charged of 17 crimes. Six of the counts were capital felonies, in which guilty of one can result in the death penalty. It's just ridiculous that some people think he doesn't deserve the death penalty. The only reason I disagree with the death penalty is because it doesn’t make much sense to me. If he is sentenced to death he waits for years in prison to be killed. Through these years he has plenty of time to say good bye to his loved ones, which is a luxury most of us won’t ever get. In addition to this, he gets to know when and how he’s going to die. He also gets a type of relief in that he doesn’t have to stay in jail any longer and he doesn’t have to deal with the guilt or pain anymore. In the end, the families suffer more then the criminal.

I do agree with the death penalty. Steven Hayes has committed a horrible crime that should never be done to anyone’s family just for money. Sexual assaulting someone is disgusting and terrible to even think that people out there would do such a thing. Another reason he should get the death penalty is because burning two children alive while the father is downstairs hearing it all is just wrong. That man has to live with hearing his children's last cries for the rest of his life.

Stephen Hayes deserves what he has coming to him. I think that he deserves the death penalty without any remorse. I agree with the death penalty to a certain extent. This is because if you want to kill someone for no reason or even for a reason you should deserve to die also. The father of these children had to hear them get sexual assaulted but also die. So, why should the men who killed his two children and wife be able to walk this earth anymore or rot in jail? The reason that criminals who get put to death get so many pivileges is because our constitution requires us to treat our criminals humanly. However I'm all for the death penalty.

Yes he deserves the death penalty.Though I believe it should be as painful for him to die as it was for the two girls and their mom. My thought on his death penalty is that the husband/father of the two girls and the mother should be allowed to choose how Hayes dies. That way he does not know how he is going to die,just like the two girls and their mom did not know. I agree with the death penalty because it stops mass murderers from being allowed to kill again and again. Plus how would you feel if a ex mass murderer was your next door neighbor?
