Have you seen this news story in the media? Who do you believe, the pastor or the young men? Why? Do you think this makes Christians and churches around the country look bad? Why or why not? What is your prediction for the outcome of the trial?

I will not take sides in this event because I do not have any concrete information. To me this action does not frown upon all the churches unless people simply believe that if one church is bad then they all are. If people believe that then they might as well believe that all people in the world are bad just because they know a bad person. This pastor does not appear to me as a good representative of God. He is simply using Gods word as a way to get rich and famous.
It’s hard to say who is telling the truth in this. The pastor could easily be lying but so could the accusers. However, the outcome is probably going to end in the pastor’s favor. I say this because he has a lot of money and he can obtain a way better lawyer then the accusers probably can. Not to mention, most people today can be paid off so I see the pastor coming out of this on top.
I have never seen this story in the news, but I try not to watch it, because I always end up yelling at the tv. I really believe the boys are telling the truth, I get this feeling that the pastor is lying and he did really talk them into this. I don't think it makes Christians look bad but I do believe that church is going to suffer and if they have been a member they will end up being tormented because of it. I really believe he will be convicted of this.
No, I have not personally seen this story on the news or on the radio. I am not sure who to believe because I have not read all the facts. Although as of right now I believe the young men’s testimony. In my opinion Long seems fake to me. It is one thing to say you’re religious and another thing to practice it. The fancy cars, private jets, elaborate clothes all point to me as “pleasure items”. I am not criticizing his success just his use of it. Yes, I believe that this will have evident and unforeseen impacts on the Christian church.
No, I haven't seen this story in the media. As of right now, I don't believe anyone, because you don't know whether this is a publicity stunt towards the bishop, or if the young men are just trying to get some money, because these days some people would do anything just to make money or get publicity for something you do. This really makes these churches look bad, because this is the only case in which this has happened to a church. I think the outcome of the trial will favor the young men, because they have photos that were sent privately to each individual.
I have yet to see this story on the news. It almost seems that every time you turn around that there is some church scandal. I don’t know what it is but it’s crazy. I don’t really don’t get what the trial is about because the boys were all of age. Unless it was rape but they never say that in the story, they just say that there was sexual touching.
I have seen this story in the media. I heard a lot about it. I want to believe the pastor just because he is a pastor, but really I don’t know who to believe. It kind of makes all Christian churches look bad but people have to realize that every church isn’t the same. Just because one pastor does something wrong doesn’t mean all of the other pastors of Christian churches would do the same. I hope Bishop Eddie Long is found not guilty but you just don’t know.
This is the first I am hearing about this story. I honestly don't know who to believe simply because of the world we live in today. This does not make Christians and churches around the country look bad because this is one man not five hundred men. The outcome of the trial is not something I can even think of a prediction for simply because you see things like this everyday. It's just not something you see between a pastor and other men.
I have not seen this story in the media. I do not know who to believe because I do not have in of evidence. This case will need further investigation to find out who is speaking the truth. I do not think this will make other churches around the country look bad, because this only deals with one person in particular and not everyone else. I think Eddie Long did nothing wrong, but who knows.
I have never seen nor heard the story about the pastor. I believe the young men because why would someone lie about having sex or being forced into it. The young men who have had to gone through this have the right to tell the truth and get justice for what they had to endure. These allegations make the Christians but also the churches look bad. This is because Christians are made out to be the perfect person with no faults. Even though no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes the leader of a church should not force young men into sex when he is married. My prediction of the outcome of this trial is that the pastor will be convicted of his crime.

I have not heard of this story in the news before today. Not hearing the “victims” of the pastor speak I can’t really say which I believe. I understand though that Eddie Long is going to take the stand and fight for himself; to prove this is a scandal. This may put a picture on big churches, such as this one, come out with stories whether there true or not. Seeing this as showing a bad look toward Christians I just don’t think it will matter that much to the people. My prediction is that the pastor will walk free because you can see he is determined to stay where he is now and not go anywhere soon.
I have not seen this news story. I believe the young men. Why would the pastor send pictures to them? I think that in the eyes of some people it would effect how they look at church. But for faithful christians it should not matter what another pastor is doing in another church. The trial depending on the evidence should come out as guilty.
It’s really hard to say who’s right and who’s wrong. There was no video of the men who were abused so it’s hard to read there reactions and see if they’re lying. The pastor seemed to be telling the truth but he could be a great liar. This video does not make churches and Christians look bad. There are different forms of Christianity such as Baptist, Lutheran, and Catholics. Catholics are the only form of Christianity that has had instances of sexual misconduct. I really have no idea what the outcome of the trial will be. It just might come down to who has a bigger pocket and how poor the judge and jury are; like many other times in history.
Yes I have,I believe the pastor. I believe the pastor because a man of the cloth almost NEVER goes against his teachings. Plus he is famous, people want famous people get blamed for things they did not do. Yes I think it does, but in the end these people will triumph and understand why the story was made up. I think from what has been reported the pastor will get off free and clear.
I already blogged but here is another blog. The comments from yesterday were heart breaking and touching.
I have not seen this at all on the news. I believe the young men. I think it can affect other churches but not ina bad way. I think he will be guilty for what he did. I think he is just trying to deny what he did and he knows what he did.
I haven't seen this news story before. I don't know who I believe, I don't know much about the story but it seems this kind of thing happens a lot in churches so it's not unbelievable. You hear a lot about churches and sex scandals, like Catholic priests that mess around with little boys etc. and yes, it does make the churches look bad. I don't know what will happen with the trial.

I don’t believe that the pastor tried to have sex with the kids. He is rich and famous and it wouldn’t make any since for him to do something like that. I think that the young men might be trying to get attention. Also they might be trying to get money from a law suit. Either way this whole story is really weird.
No. I believe the young men because they probably have proof. Yes. I think it does make churches look bad because one of their beliefs is to not have sex until your married. I think the man will be given jail time.
I have seen this story in the media. Honestly, I don't know who to believe in this situation. I know that people like attention and I know that people do stupid things without thinking. I think this doesn'm make all Christian churches look bad. I think it just makes his particular ministry look bad because he is leading a large flock of people. I'm not sure what the outcome of the trial will be but I hope the truth is revealed.
I don't know who to believe. This kind of does make Christians look bad in a way. I think Eddie Long will win his case. I've been seeing this in the media, but I didn't really pay attention to it.

No, I have never seen this story in the media. I honestly do not know who to believe. It would be crazy for the pastor to do something like that, it would ruin everything he has going for him, he is wealthy and well known. I do not believe it makes other churches look bad because that is something he did not everyone else so no one should be punished for his mistakes. I really couldn’t say how I thought this trial is going to end up at this point it could go either way.
I had not heard of this news story until today. I really don't know what to believe about the situation. It makes Christians and churches around the country look bad, because of one person wrong doing it has an affect on all of us. I think they just need to be honest and who ever is lying just admit to it. Or even if the pastor is guilty he should admit to it because that is the right thing to do. If you know you did wrong and messed up then be a man and take the blame.
Yes, I have seen this story in the media before. To truly be honest I don’t know who to believe, but more than likely the pastor is guilty. I do think it makes Christians and other churches look bad because, God didn’t make us to be with the same sex. As a man of God he should know that more than anyone else. He is suppose to be a leader under Gods authority and if we can trust our pastors, there is really no one left to trust.
i dont know what to believe its hard to see a man of god try to convince young men to have sex with him but almost all of them are 22 not 5 so i think it would be kinda hard to convince them through god to have sex with him i think its all a lie
I have seen this story before in the media. I don't know who to believe in this case. All I know is that I hope this never happens again to anyone else. To me it seems that this pastor will come out on top of it all. Also that it is a shame that he was caught in it all. That is what I think about this situation.
The video I watched today has me kind of skeptical. I say this because people lie all the time. Majority it’s so they can get money. With a case like this you don’t know who to believe. The bishop who has been charged with engaging in sexual activity with young boys could be true. The boys could also be lying to get money. I believe justice will be served at the end and the truth will also be revealed.
Yes, I have seen this story on the media. I’m not sure who to believe the young men or the pastor? I think this does make churches and christens look bad. My predication of the trail is that the jury is going to go for the young men.
I have seen a picture of this pastor on the "Wendy Williams Show", but not on the news media. I believe the pastor because he seems like a true man of God, and why would he be accused for something like that? I do think this makes Christians and churches look bad, because it seems like Christians are the target for stupid things that are misunderstood. The media is always on people's cases that are completely innocent. My prediction for the outcome of the trial is he will win.
I don't know what to think of this video. I haven't heard anything about this situation yet, but it doesn't sound too good. To be honest, I'm not sure who to believe. Sometimes kids like to make up stupid things to mess up other people's personal life. If any of this is true, I can't imagine why a pastor, who's supposed to be a leader, would do that to innocent people.

No I have not seen this story in the news. I watch the news for sports and the weather. I don’t know who to believe either the pastor or the young men if he was Catholic I’d believe the young boys. I don’t care either way. I think someone will be found guilty.
I haven't heard about this case until just now, so I don't know enough to take a side. This situation makes Christians look bad whether the pastor is innocent or guilty. People will see the story and automatically assume that the pastor is guilty. They think he is supposed to be this great, wonderful Christian man, because he is a pastor, and yet he is caught up in this drama. As a result they will believe that all Chrisitans are fakers. I have no idea what the outcome of the trial will be.
