Describe your reaction to the video. What's your opinion on the mother? Do you think she should be punished? Why or why not? Do you have a tattoo, and if not, do you think you'll ever get a tattoo? Would you ever want your child to be tattooed?

I can't say I was that surprised when I watched this video. The only thing that was shocking to me was how sketchy the tattoo gun made with guitar string looked. I think the mother really did think it was okay to tattoo her children, but if it is against the law, she should be punished. I don't have a tattoo and I'll never get one. I'm not a huge fan of the way tattoos look, and I can't think of anything I wouldn't get tired of eventually. Also, a tattoo on wrinkly skin just isn't cute, and I'm pretty sure that one day I'll have wrinkles, unfortunately. I would NEVER want Braydon to be tattooed. I get upset when he has to get a shot; I can't imagine poking him with needles unnecessarily.
I think that the people in the video have their own opinion. I don’t know if they should be punished for what they did. I do not see why the parents would want to do what they did but that was their choice. I think I will get a tattoo sooner or later. I almost got one last year. But I do not think I would want my child to get on.

The video is a little much. Why would you home make a tattoo on your children? The mother seems trashy to me and obviously doesn't know right from wrong. I do think the mother should be punished. The children are way to young to be getting tattoos. No, I do not have a tattoo. I don't think I will ever get a tattoo unless it's something extremely important to me. I would never want my child to be tattooed, especially at such a young age.

It is her children, if they wanted to tattoo them that is their business. No, the kids were not harmed. Many under age people get tattoos.I do not have a tattoo, but I am having a tattoo party the end of the month. I plan on getting a few. When I have children I would much rather them get a tattoo then have gages, or piercings in a ridicoulus place. It is just ink, what she did will fade, the needle did not even break the 2nd layer of skin.

This video was kind of appalling. We'll I do not know why she gave the 10 year old a tattoo. I do not believe the punishment should be jail time. I do not have a tattoo at this time, but I do myself seeing myself getting one in the future. I would not want my child to get a tattoo until they get older and can approve themselves to be responsible.

This video is not that shocking. In today world its not shocking that something like that happened. The idea of mocking your child I don't agree with. Her punishment I think depends on the law in the state. Each state law is different. No, I don't have a tattoo. I don't think that I will ever get one. No, I don't really want my child to be tattooed.

I wasn't really surprised that they did that to their child, but what did surprise me was that they did it themselves. I think the mother was crazy or on something. She shouldn't have given her child a tattoo. I think the mother should be punished, but not anything really bad because she shouldn't have done that to her kids. I don't have a tattoo, but I would like a small one. I don't want it to be outrageous. I would not want my child to be tattooed because they might get an outrageous one and it would look silly when they got old and wrinkly.

know I do not think she should be punished because somebody gave her son a tattoo and he was just 10 year old I don't understand that at all. But that was her son and who ever gave her son a tatoo was just wrong. Because what if something happen to that baby it would have been a problem.and no I would not get an tattoo at all because it can mess up your skin so that why I would not get an tattoo. I think it was stupid for the parents to tattoo their child. The parents should be punished for their actions because it's like child abuse. Ten years old is way too young for a child to have a tattoo. The parents should think about the child before they tattooed them because they could possibly have to live with the mark for the rest of their life. If a child wanted a tattoo, it should be done by a professional. I would never want a tattoo because I hate needles and when people get old their skin gets wrinkly and the tattoos look nasty. I wouldn't get my child tattooed because it should be the child's choice to what goes on their body.
--Brittany Oliver :)
I think that the tattoo its self wasn't so bad. The gun that was made I think was more of the issue. I'm not sure if she should be punished but she doesn't seem like the best mother of seven children. I don't have a tattoo now; I do plan on getting a larger scaled tattoo on the back, top, front, and side of my shoulder. It will be costly but I'm sure it’s something I can live with. I would tell my child they would have to wait until they had the money to pay for it and are around 17+.

My reaction to this video is that the police can not tell the people what to put on their child. I still don’t think that the mother should put a tattoo without the kids saying so. I don’t think that I would never get a tattoo. I would never want my child to be tattooed, because I want them to really make the decision themselves. I think that a child should not be young and get a tattoo at an early age.
Quatesha
I can't believe that someone would even want to do that to their kids. I would think that they would at least take them to a professional to have them done instead of using one at home. I think that the mother should be punished because in my opinion she shouldn't have done that to her kids. When I'm older I might get a tattoo, but I would only want a really small one that I could cover up if I wanted to. I would never want my child to get tattooed.

I am not shocked I mean all these kids get tattoos all the time and no one says anything about all these other kids doing it. I think she is just a little shocked, she acted like she didn't know that it was illegal. To look at the bright side atleast she knew that they had it, its not like it was behind her back. Yes and No, because she knew what she was doing and not only did she do it to all her kids, had the nervse to say her youngest son couldn't get it. Then everyone else can weird. Yes, I do have a tattoo and I got it at a reasonable age. I would when they are old enough not at no young age under 17.
~Gigi~
I thought this video was stupid. The kids said it didn't hurt, so it's technically not child cruelty. But, then if there is an age limit to when you can get a tattoo, then the mom should be punished in some kind of way. I think the mom was honest when she said she would never hurt her kids. I don't have a tattoo, and will never get one. I would let my child get a tattoo if he/she wants one.
Parker Little
The mother and father didn't need to put the tattoo on all six of their kids. The little kid didn't ask for the tattoo. I however, don't think that the parents should get charged for their giving a tattoo. That is her child and like she said she didn't want to harm him. I do want a tattoo but i don't want one no time soon. I wouldn't mind my child getting one long as their 18. -Alia H.
This is a very weird video. I don't see why the mother wouldn't just take them to a tattoo parlor and sign for them to get a tattoo. It seemed like the parents did it because they wanted to not because the children wanted it. I don't think that she should be servery punished because they are her children; but I do think that it was a good thing for someone to point it out to her. I don't have any tattoos but I have thought about getting one. The only thing that's stopping me is the fact that if I don't like it I've got to live with it forever and that when I get old I'll have a wrinkly tattoo...which is not cute. I wouldn't want my children to be tattooed until they were old enough to make the decision on their own.
Mallory
I just think this is crazy. I'm surprised she actually did this. But it's life so I just think it is crazy. I think she should be punished but not to harsh. Because the kids weren't hurt. But the law is still you are not allowed to do. I do not, and will never have a tattoo. And I would never want my child to have one...

Thats crazy for a ten year old to have a tattoo. I do think she should be punished because children don't know what they want and they don't realize that they have to keep it for the rest of their life. No, I don't have any tattoos. I do want a tattoo, but I don't know what I want because I know it's going to be on me for the rest of my life. I wouldn't want my child to be tattoed when they are under 18, because like I said before it's permanent. After they are 18 I can't really stop them.
Danielle C.
I don't see anything wrong. I think she should be able to do what she wants as long as she didn't hurt them. I don't think she should be punished, because she didn't harm them. I don't but I'm getting one on the first of May. If my child wanted to get a tattoo I wouldn't see anything wrong with it. James St. Peter

I have heard of young children getting tattoos, but I didn't know it was illegal. Although I don't think you should do this to a child, I agree with the woman, it is HER child. I personally don't think she should be punished because as I stated already, its HER child. I will NEVER get a tattoo. I think that something that lasts forever on your body that wasn't already there is not normal.
~Garf
I believe that the mother is crazy. She should be punished because it doesn't matter if her kids say they want tattoos. What if they want drugs or alcohol? Should the parents give it to them? I might want a tattoo when I get older. My child would never be tattooed before they were of legal age.-Nick Powell»™

I think it's kind of stupid to arrest her for that. I mean, she shouldn't have done it to the one that was two. Others, though, had a choice if they wanted them or not. I think she did it on her own, which I can understand her going to jail for. The mother has her right to be upset. They're her children, but that doesn't give her the right to tattoo them. Especially at that young of an age. I don't have a tattoo, but if I get one, then it'll be of my child's name. I wouldn't want my child tattooed that young. Once they got older, it would be up to them.
People do some crazy stuff. She shouldn't have done it, but I do get where she's coming from. She should probably be punished, though. It's against the law to be that young. I plan on getting a few tattoos, but not big ones. I wouldn't let my child do it until they get old enough.
Erica Owens
I really don't know what to say about the whole thing. There her children so I guess she can make the choice. The only thing that had me feeling uncomftorable was the home made tattoo machine, to me it didn't look sterile. I don't think she should be punished only because they were her children. No I don't have any tattoo's and its not that im against them its not that I don't like them its just not for me. I would have to say that if my child wanted a tattoo he would have to wait till he was not under my roof anymore.
Brittany Posey
I have heard and seen worst so this video was not as shocking as others were. Truth is they are her children, but what kind of mother would tattoo a 2 year old. I do not think she should be punished, but definitely go through therapy! I do not have a tattoo, although I would love one ... just my name though. I would not tattoo my child ever that is crazy!
~Andrea Johnson
The video was surprising. The mother seriously thought it was okay because it was her children that she tattooed. I do think that she should be punished. I do not think that she should have been tattooing her children and one of them was only ten. I do not think I will get a tattoo because after you get old, it will look nasty. I would not want my child to be tattooed.
-Shaquii
I honestly don't think that it was that serious. My opinion about the mother is that she was right for trying to defend herself because that is her child and if her child wanted a tattoo then it was her choice to let him/her have one or not. No, I do not have any tattoos at the moment but when I get older I would want to get some. That's there choice if they want a tattoo or not. I'm not going to tell them what they can and can't do espeacially when there older.-Cadeja Wilson
I have mixed feelings about the video. I think it would be wrong and they should be punished if the children were super young or if it was against their will. Teenagers get homemade tattoos all the time, and I don't think it's a crime. I don't have any tattoos, but I do want one. When I have children I don't think I would have a problem with them getting tattoos, not really young but to be 16 or 17 isn't too young.
-Amber Bass
I think its pretty crazy. I think that if the kid wanted it then its not to bad. I really don't think its as big of a deal as they make it seem. I think she should be punished for tattooing the 2-year old, but not for the rest of them. I don't have a tattoo, but i think i want something small. I would never let my child be tattooed at a young age, but maybe when they're like a teenager.
-Summer Wilson
Well I really can't believe the video. The thing that got me was the tattoo gun. I think I would of just freak out when I seen it. But To me I feel that should not matter if that's what the kid want. I feel the law should of not got involved with what was going in her house.I feel it's nothing wrong with what she did if she would just got a better gun that's all.
Jesmine Murphy
In my opinion I don’t think the mother did anything wrong, even thought its nothing that I would do to my kids. I really don’t believe that the mother should be punished, because like she said they’re her children. I feel as though if something were to happen to her children’s health due to the tattoos, that’s something she would have to live with. I don’t have a tattoo, but as soon as I am allowed I will get one. I would not let a child of mine get a tattoo if they were under the age of 16, and even when they do turn 16 I still have to approve of the tattoo that they are getting.
At first I was thinking, why would you do that to your kids?? After a few minutes, I was thinking well technically she didn't break any laws, but that doesn't make it right. If her kids asked for tattoos, especially the seventeen year, then, she shouldn't get in trouble. On the contrary, she gave her two year old a tattoo and that is not right. A two year doesn't have good judgment so she shouldn't have given her child that tattoo. I would never give my child a tattoo. When they get older, they can get one after they thought it through.
