I don't believe he deserves it. He hasn't done anything so far to deserve it. He's in the middle of sending thousands of troops into war right now. How is that peaceful? They were planing on giving him that before he was even elected saying that they expect him to do great things. He hasn't done anything! Therefore I don't recognized that prize as worth anything anymore. I have literally no respect for the president, congress, or the nobel peace board at all anymore.

No, Obama has not did anything he promised to do when elected. Obama has not really accomplished anything, other than being elected president. Compared to the other Nobel Peace Priz Lauteates, Obama comes no where near to what those men were. I think that the reason they gave him this aware so much in advance is because he is the first black president, and his speeches. However, I do not believe he is ready for the prize, so far he has done nothing for our country.

I do not understand politics but I do believe that he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. He did not ask for the prize but was nominated. I didn't hear the whole speech but the part that I did hear I was confused. Yes, Obama has done a lot for our country. Just being elected as the very first African American President is a huge step in for the United States.

I don't think that Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. I don't see where he has done anything to deserve this respected award. The only thing that he is noted for is being the first African American President. I think that he used his acceptance speech to justify his actions with the war. Obama doesn't really compare to other Laureates because his actions haven't really had a great impact on America.

I guess Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. I don't know that much about what is going on in the world. However, he is trying. There is nothing he can do about receiving the prize. His speech was alright I guess. Comparing him to Martin Luther King Jr., I don't think he compares at all. Those people accomplished some spectacular missions. Obama still has a long time in his presidency, so maybe he will show us that he really does deserve it.

I believe if they nominated President Obama to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, he should deserve it. I have not heard the whole speech. But from what I heard I thought the speech was very good. Well I do believe he compares to other Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. He believes that this country can become a better place.

I do not think that Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. Sure he is the president of the United States, but he has just became one and hasn't done much enough for me to think he has earned the prize. Maybe later on in his term(s) he will accumulate great things. Then of witch he could most definitely receive the prize. I also think Obama will compare to the other winners later on in life, I think he is capable of great things.

I do think Obama deserve the Nobel Peace prize. Obama has made a major accomplishment in history of being the first African- American President. He has made people get out and vote this year too.I don't think he has compared to them yet but he will in the furture. American will see his accomplishment and think he does derserve the award.-Alia H.

I guess he deserved the Nobel Peace prize because by he is the president and live in the White House he just deserved that prize. I thought he did real good on his speech so I think that why he deserved the prize. he is the president so I think that is why he derserved the prize maybe someone else could have won the prize so that is why. brittany Eley

If President Obama was nominated to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, then I guess he deserves it. I haven't heard the whole acceptance speech, so I don't really know what I think about it. No, I don't think that President Obama compares to a lot of the other Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. I'm not even really sure what President Obama has done.

Yes, I do believe that he should have gotten it. Even though he didn't do anything as big as the other people he has and is still try to make a different. Everyone one has their own opinion and he didn't ask for them to give it to him. I thought that it was very informal and that it hit alot of important topics. No I don't believe that he compares to the other people that were before him jsut had more time to do more thing, he has been in office for only one year come January 20. In time he will be up their with the peolpe before him.

I don't know much about the Nobel Peace Prize. I do know that it's a huge honor. I'm not confident enough to say that Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize; but I am confident that he is doing the best he can to defend and protect our country. It does seem too early to present Obama with the Nobel Peace Prize. It'd be nice to give him more time to prove his title. I think he handled his acceptance speech very well. I do not think he really compares to the others that received the Nobel Peace Prize. People like Martin Luther King Jr. and Mother Teresa did great things that changed the way of life and gave insight to a better way of living.

Yes, I really think President Obama deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Why? Because he is going to do great things, and those things might be in the interests of America's peace. I think Obama's acceptance speech defines why he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. No, I don't think President Obama compares to all of the other Peace Prize recipiants.

Yes, I think Obama did deserve the Nobel Peace Prize because he is trying to make peace with the world. Also he is trying to make a change. I do think that Obama compares to other Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, such as Martin Luther King, Jr., Mother Teresa, Theodore Roosevelt, Elie Wiesel, etc. The reason why I think he compares is because he is trying to make a change in the world and so did the other Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. It takes time to make a change so we have to be patient.

No, I don't think any presidents deserve a nobel peace prize. They don't really do anything that is that important. He pauses a lot, it's hard to make sentences out of what he says because of all of the pauses. No, I don't think he compares to the othe Laureates. He hasn't done anything great yet, just because he is President doesn't mean he deserves the Prize.

I don't really think he deserved it. He has done nothing so far... Especially dealing with peace. This is crazy how they did this. But yet he sends our troops to Iraq, how is that peace? I agree with sending troops, but give him peace prize? Wow, this is just crazy how they did that. I think our previous Nobel Peace Prize people deserved it. He just has to much prize.

I do believe that Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. He has taken steps to furthering world peace than anyone in recent years. Just because he is sending more troops to Afghanistan does not mean he is trying to bellicose. He is sending troops to ensure that the people can live there without fear of terrorists and terrorism. Whether or not Obama matches up to other Laureates, I cannot be the judge of that. Everyone is going to have a different opinion on someone, and nothing is going to change that. -Nick Powell™

I don't believe he deserved a Nobel Peace Prize. He hasn't done anything yet. His speech was well-spoken but kinda boring. He hasn't done hardly anything compared to the old Laureates because he hasn't done anything!!!

Whether or not I think that Obama deserved the Noble Peace Prize, he was going to win it because he is the President. I am not a big fan of speeches and politics, so I really do not know what to think. No offense, but they only comparison he has to Martin Luther King Jr. is that he is black! What did he even get the Nobel Peace Prize for anyway, I do not call sending 30,000 troops to Afghanistan PEACEFUL! He does not remind me of these people because they were great leaders...no losers!

I definitely don't think that Obama deserved it. It's the peace prize and he's sending more troops to Iraq. He hasn't really stuck to anything he's said, also. His speech was alright, but I still don't believe he deserved it. He doesn't compare to any of the other winners at all. Those people took a stand for what they believed in and he's just the president.

Yea I guess so but not really to me.he just do dumb things to me.the speech he did was like oh my goodness just because to me it was funny. No not really because he just not that person for that place. He just become president he haven't done anything yet to me. He not the best man yet making stupid mistakes now so not just now.

No, I don't think he deserved it. He wants to send thirty thousand more troops to Iraq. That's ridiculous! I thought his speech was boring. I know he wants to do good for America, but he doesn't need to send anymore troops to war. No, he doesn't compare to them. It took the other winners of the Nobel Peace Prize years to receive it. It is too early for him to be receiving something that great. It's just too early in his presidency. That's just my opinion though.

I honestly don’t think that the president deserves a Noble Peace Price. I think that he needs to do more time in office, before he gets the Noble Peace Prize. I honestly don’t know what to think about Obama’s speech. I didn’t think the speech was really and acceptance speech, but more of an accuse speech to why he got the Noble Peace Prize. I think that Obama might compare to Martin Luther King Jr. one day, but I don’t think that he should have gotten it right now.

I'm not sure hoe I feel about this. I haven't really been paying attention to what's going on. But I do think it's not really the right time, he hasn't been the president for that long and hasn't done much to deserve it in my eyes. I don't think he compares to other people who have received the same award, not yet at least. He hasn't accomplished much yet to get it all of a sudden. If he would've done something great and then gotten it I would be happy for him.

I don't really know if he actually deserved it, but I don't blame him for taking it. It's the Nobel Peace Prize! Only a crazy person wouldn't take that if it was offered to them! I don't think he actually compares to all the other people who got the Nobel Peace Prize because he really hasn't done anything. He just became president!

I don't really know if Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. If I got the Nobel Peace Prize just like anyone I would take it too. Speeches in general for me are boring.
His speech was pretty good I guess. On the level of Martin Luther King, Jr., Mother Teresa, etc. he doesn't stand a chance because they are the real definition of the Nobel Peace Prize.

I don't think that he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize because I don't see anything he did as a reason for getting the prize. They should wait till he completes what he plans to do before they give it to him. I think that the speech was nothing special, just talk. I don't think he is anywhere near the deserving crowd such as Martian Luther King Jr. and the rest of them. But I don't blame him for taking the prize because I would to if they asked me to accept it. James St. Peter

I think President Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize but not this soon in his presidency. He has not had the chance to actual do anything yet. I think his acceptance speech was okay. He explained why he sent more troops overseas and that was what a lot of Americans wanted to know. I do not think he compares to them right now. He might compare them in the future but they should have given him a chance to do something first. I do think that he will be successful in the future though.

Yes, I do think that Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. Im not sure why I do I just do. I thought the speech was ok. Seeing taht Obama has'nt even been in office for a year yet I dont think that he compares to other Nobel Peace Prize Laureates yet because he has'nt really did that much yet. But I think that over time he will compare to those people even though he has already gotten the award.-Cadeja Wilson

No I don't think that Pres. Obama deserves the Nobel Prize only because he really hasn't done anything to deserve it. I think his exceptance speech had nothing to do with the award, all he talked about was the war. He is no where near and previous Nobel Prize winner because he hasn't done anything to change anything. He just made it to office.

No, I don't think that Barack Obama should have won the Nobel Peace Price. Because he is still sending more troops to Afghanistan and he just became president of America. I think Obama's acceptance speech was okay. No, I don't compare to other Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, such as Martin Luther King, Jr., Mother Teresa, Theodore Roosevelt, Elie Wiesel.
