Explain whether you found this video funny or offensive? Do you think there are any underlying truths to this video? I find this video kind of funny. It is funny because on the answering machine they are saying things that people would not normally expect a school to say. In my opinion I do not think that the video is offensive because the school is just trying to be humorous. The answer machine states certain problems that they think students parents at the school would be calling for. Personally I do not think that my parent has called the school for any of the reasons in the video. I think that the career of my choices disadvantage would be the working days and hours. But the money that I will make will make the career choice tolerable for me.

That message wouldn't be stood for by my parents at all. It is true some of the things that were said do happen but at the same time I would never make it the schools answering message. My career I chose was a Machanic. Unfortunatly I will have to deal with all kinds of rude ignorant people as well but I love working on vehicles and motorcycles. It's hard work but I enjoy a good challenge.
Personally, I think that this video is very funny. But some parents of students at the school might find it offensive. Yes, my parents have called the school for some of the reasons mentioned in the video. Sometimes they have called the school to tell them that I was sick when I really wasn't and to complain about a teacher. Some disadvantages to my career of choice is that I would be working with people that can be hard to get along with, but I will be making a lot of money so it will be worth it.

I would not want a teacher to hit me because if I go home and tell my mom she will get mad and call the school to see what happen to have the news to hit my children you have no reation to put your hand on my children you are not my mom or my dad so do not put yours hand on my children anymore. I think this video was crazy because how in the world would someone want to hit a children for that is just crazy. brittany eley
This video was very entertaining. My parents have called the school for other reasons. I think working in the public school system may have several disadvantages. People who work in the school system deal with people that they do not know. I think the pay would make this career more tolerable.

I did not find this offensive, I actually find it hilarious. I do not believe this is a real answering machine. Yes, my parents have called the school for one of the reasons, bus transportation. My career is a pediatrician, some disadvantages would be the many people that come in and try to tell you what is right. I think that this will be tolerable, because I will have to deal with many people and I will have to learn to except these kind of people.

I found this video very funny. It's almost hard to believe that this is a real answering machine. To be honest, they have never called the school about these reasons. However, my mom has came to the school to talk about a teacher in middle school. Well, the career I chose today is just a little part time job I want to have. The disadvantage would be my feet would get tired. The advantage would be I would get to dance all the time.

I found this video to be funny. There are definitely some underlying truths in this video. My mom has call school before to excuse my early dismissal because the doctor didn't give me a note. A disadvantage of being an accountant is that they have long hours during tax season. I think that if someone enjoys their career, then the disadvantages will be tolerable.

I think this is a rude video for a school that should be professionally run. I think there is a lot of "fussing" with parents calling schools, but there is no reason to put the on the answering machine. I get hurt a lot so there are weeks at a time that I could be out of school and the school tries to count it unexcused. For career day I chose to be my self no get up, just me. I think that a career is something you like to do for a living and I like being my self so that’s what I chose to be. Advantages and disadvantages for me are just every day life choices that everyone else has to go through.

Wow this video was funny but after all I do think it was kind of rude. Yes, I do think that there is true in this video because I know that a lot of parents do call schools and complain about their students grade when their child don’t even attend school like they should. No, my parents have not called the school for any of the reasons that were mentions in the video. I think that the reason why is that I have been at the same school at which my mom works for three years. Today I was just being silly and dressed like a rapper but my real career choice is being a early childhood educator. This job does come with disadvantages like having parents call and complain and some of the things that were mentioned in the video. I believe that my career choice has more advantages than disadvantages.

This video was funny. No, there are no truths in this video. No, my mom or dad has never called the school for these reasons. Some disadvantages of the carrer I chose could be that I won't see my family for 5 to 6 years. I could be called into service at any time, or I could die on any mission. The advantages, I would still get to go through college. I will be able to serve my country, my family, and those who died to protect our freedom.

I found this video was funny but if you’re the wrong person it can be taken the wrong way. I mean yes there is a underlying truth to this video, but there are other ways to say it than the way they put it. Yes, my mother has called for me but I would be highly upset if I heard that being told to my mother. She calls to let the school know that I won’t come to school. With the career I picked today an Administrator has a who lot of back talk and have to hear about every issue in school. They also help out and can make change in people lives and that is what I want to do is make a change.

I found this video funny. I think that there is truth to this video. My parents have never called the school for any of reasons mentioned in the video. Some disadvantages of the career of my choice are that to be a cosmetologist you have to deal with different attitudes. Some day you might not feel like dealing with different people. Some advantages of being a cosmetologist are that you get to help other people with their problem, also that you get to help them enhance their beauty. These things make those disadvantages tolerable.

I find the video funny because they wanted you to press a number for stupid reasons. I think there are underlying truths to this video because people do want to do those things. My parent did not call the school. They did go up to the school though because of one of the reasons. The reason is to swear at staff members. She wanted to go off on the bus driver because the bus driver made me get off at the high school when I didn't go to it. She said, "What if she had an asthma attack, you would be responsible because you do not have her inhaler here. It is at the middle school." Some disadvantages to my career are having to dress really professional and have to be nice and help everyone. The advantage to my career that makes those disadvantages tolerable is I will have people skills and look professional.

Honestly I thought that the message was pretty funny. I don't think that it's a real message. If our school had a message like that parents would flip out. My parents haven't ever called the school for anything other than getting important dates. For career day I choose to be a garbage collector. A disadvantage of being a garbage collector is that the job literally stinks, but an advantage is that it pays really well.

When I saw the video I thought it was funny but after when the video was over I got offensive. Yes I do think that the answering machine was telling the truth. No my mother or my grandmother hasn't called the school for anything dealing with my absences. Well I want to be a psychologist and some disadvantages are that my patient might not like the advice to a situation that I give him/her. Advantages are that I know that I am helping people and making a difference in there life.

It's both funny and offensive. It's funny because it's not our school, and it's offensive to the people that go to that school.There is some truth to the message but you can't just come out and say that. My mom has came to school to talk to someone about me failing because of how many days I missed, because my grades were good, I had jusst went over the limit of absent days. Some disadvantages of being a pediatrician are having to take eleven years of college. The advantages that will make that tolerable is the amount of money I will make each year.

I thought this was really funny. People do act like their kids are great and do no wrong so this was true. My parents have called the school for any reason, as far as I know. The disadvantages for my career as a Wildlife Conservatist would be working in some dangerous situations or with dangerous animals. Making the world better and helping animals will definitely be worth it.

I think this is funny. I think there are a lot of underlying truths in this video. A lot of children have just given up on their work and it's not the school's fault. I was out sick for a week with the flu and my teacher, Mr. Utt, didn't grade any of my make up work and my mom called him and fussed him out. It was funny. I'm not good with math, foreign language, or science, so those are the disadvantages of my career choice. The only way for my career disadvantages to be tolerable is if I get the best education for my career.
I found this video quite amusing although I would probably be pissed off if I was a parent. Everything said in that was true, the only reason parents call is to make an excuse for their kids or get angry at a teacher. I don't remember an event where my mom called the school for any of these reasons, but I know many parents that have. A disadvantage to my career is that I will most often be alone. An advantage that may counter the loneliness is the ability to talk to anybody I want on the internet, so although I'll be alone, I won't be bored. :)
I actually think this video is really hilarious... I think this video is so true, I mean that's all people to these days is complain for no reason. All those buttons to press are actually for real, people do, do those things. I know it sounds crazy or stupid but it is the real thing. And I don't think my parents have called for any of these reasons at all. Some disadvantages to my job would be people getting mad when I arrest them, or even run. But I don't think it involves "hatemail" or anything like this. There are a lot of advantages, like lets say someone calls me and starts to swear, that could be considered attacking a Federal Agent by threats. So I have a lot of advantages and many disadvantages as well.

I think this video is very funny. I believe that everything that was said in the video was extremely true; parents complain about the little stuff that makes no sense. My parents have never called the school about any of the reasons; actually I don't think my parents have ever called the school period. They expect for me to keep track of everything on my own. The career I chose is Marine Biology, because one I don't really work well with people, two I love animals. So the advantage of my career is that I won't really have to deal with a lot of people, and I get to work with animals.

I did think that this video was very funny. I do believe that there is truth abouth this video because parents are constantly calling schools complaining about things that their child has told them and usually it is the childs fault. My mom called the school a couple of times in the past but for real reasons. There was one that was mentioned in the video, it was about bus transportation. My mom did not agree with where my bus stop was located. My career choice is to be a Radiologist, and some disadvantages to being a radiologist is constantly working in a hectic place, and dealing with stressed out people.

I found it pretty funny, but I kind of don't believe it. After watching this video I do think some of this is true. Some parents do call for stupid things or defend their children when their child is wrong in the situation. My parents have never really called the school for any of those things because they make me take responsibility for the things I do. For my career I chose a Public Relations Manager. With the career I chose some disadvantages would be if I lived in an area that wasn't a popular area or not populated enough, another one would be if I was the manager of someone who didn't work alone and I had to do like everything.

I actually found the answering machine funny. I do believe that they are underlying the truth in the video because listening to it will probably make the parents think about whether or not they’re calling the school is a good reason. My parent (mother) has called the school for one of those reasons. When I was in the 8th grade two girls told the assistant principal that Candace Rick and I said that we were going to shoot them (I put on everything I love neither of us said that).When the assistance principal called my mother he told her that we could get suspended and of course my mother went off (lol). Some disadvantages of my career (pediatrician) is that if a really sick child comes into my office, I could get sick. The advantages that make the disadvantages tolerable is that I get to help people and make them feel better.

I think that this video was hilarious, although it is a little rude to parents. The video touches many truths, because this happens all the time. My mom has called the school maybe 5 times out of my life and the only reasons were to get make-up work, tell an administrator that some one was coming and to pick me up, or things in the nature. I want to be a social worker and they really do not make a lot of money put I love children, they make me smile. Social work can be dangerous because you may deal with outraged children and/or families who dislike you. I think the people who you make a difference in makes it worth all the while. You may have 1,000 bad days but that one smile you get can keep you going!

No one wants to accept the consequences of their actions and there are parents out there that do this sort of thing. I believe that school teachers and faculty members have a tough job when they have to put up with these kinds of situations. I thought it was very funny. I think that this stuff is what most parents do when they call the homework. My mom has never called about the whole lying thing but she has lied to their faces about why i missed school. Disadvantages about my career is if there is like anything wrong with the kid then the parents will blame it on you and you'll get the distraught parents, who have a horrible attitude. I would tolerate those things because I want to works with small children.

I thought this video was very funny. I think that those are most of the reason that parents call the school. My mom has never called to lie about why I was absent, but she has lied to them in person. Disadvantages to my career choice is parents will blame anything on you if something is wrong. Plus you have to deal with distraught parents who have bad attitudes. I would tolerate those thing because I really want to work with kids.

I think that should be every school's voicemail. This video was hilarious because it's true. Those are the reasons that parents call the school. Yes, I think that my mom has called once or twice for the number 3. I admit, I have called too for some of those reasons, but I am only human. My career is a lawyer. One disadvantage would be dealing with all kinds of people.
