Lady Gaga to Obama

Gay Rights Advocates March on DC, Divided on Obama

How do you feel about equality in the United States of America? Do you think Obama made promises regarding gay rights simply to get elected or do you think he'll do his best to meet gay activists' requests? Do you think gays should have equal rights in everything? Why or why not? Did you agree with everything Lady Gaga said to Obama? If not, with what did you disagree?

The equality in the United States is very poor. I do believe that Obama made those promises to get elected, and he will probably work as slow as possible and making them have equal rights. People should be able to love who they want to love wether it is the same sex, opposite color, or different religions. People can't help who the fall in love with. No, I believe she took it to far and made it to dramatic.

I think that Obama will stick to his word and do his best to meet gay activists’ rights. Personally I do think that gay’s should have equal rights in everything. I believe that gays liking the same sex are the same thing as someone who likes interracial coupling. In my opinion I think that Lady Gaga was only doing that to get more fans and more people to like her. But she also was trying to help the gay activist and get their voice heard.

I think that the United States doesn't have equality for everyone. I'm not sure what Obama will do with gay rights. We will have to wait and see because Obama is probably more concerned with the recession and the state of the country. Gay people should be able to be gay if that's the way they want to be. I don't like Lady Gaga and I thought her speech was a little out of control.

I think America is as equal as it's going to be. I think Obama just made promises to get elected. But also I do think he will fulfill his promises. Probably not gay rights, but he will fulfill his promises. No, I don't think gays should have equal rights. This country was founded on the principles of equality, but also this country has never truely been equal, and never will be truely equal. I disagree with everything Lady Gaga said.

I feel that equality is very important. Everyone should be treated equal. I wasn't quite sure what Obama was trying to say. I don't agree with the whole gay marriage, but if your happy then you should be happy with that person. I guess gays should have equal rights. They are just like us, however, they like the same sex. I did not agree with what Lady Gaga said. She shouldn't have came across like that.

Equality is said that it should be but when it comes to gay rights people says things different. I believe that Obama didn't jsut say that because he just wanted to get elected. Honestly from my background and how I grew up and what was instilled in me as a young child i dont agree with being gay. No matter what i think people are going to be gay and do what they want to do anyway. Whatever the outcome of the sitituion is it wont change the way that i believe and what i think is right.

I feel like the United States is not equal. President Obama will do his best to meet the request of gay activist. Their are so many other important things that he must take care of first. I do believe that gays should have equal rights in everything. I just believe everyone should be treated the same. I did not agree with Lady Gaga. I just did not feel like yelling at Obama was not necessary.

It not really actually equal, guys are not except ad much in the United States. I think Obama will try his best to help the gay community and didn’t just say that because he wanted to be elected. I think Gays shouldn’t be just seen because of their sexuality but as Americans and should be treated equally. The yelling wasn’t necessary because no one wants to listen to any one who yells. However, I agree that nobody is really listening to them. –Alia H.

I think gays are human beings just like the rest of us. I think they should be able to do what ever they want to do. They should vote on it not by the representatives but by the people. I think that Obama should listen to what the people want but I think that she should have done it in a much more responsible respectable way.

I feel like we need Equality in the United States. Being a heterosexual (not gay)I believe that we should treat homosexuals as we treat heterosexuals.I think Obama will try is best to meet gay activists' requests. Yes gay people should have the same rights. Gay people do the same stuff we do except they have sex with their same sex. Lady Gaga is crazy and that all I am saying.

I feel like equal rights should be pushed in the United States. I believe truthfully that he did just to get votes and to do so he had to tell them what they wanted to hear, which is sad. I do think they should have equal rights but to an extent because I wouldn't want my child to think that it is okay to do that. No, I don't think it is right because we have more things to worry about. Yes, they have issues but if they want equal rights they have to suffer the consequences with what they want.

The United States is always going to unequal in some way to someone. I think Obama will do his best to meet gay activists’ request. Gays should not have equal rights in everything because some things are just not appropriate to me for gay people to do. I do not agree with everything Lady Gaga said to Obama; I disagreed with her when she screamed at him. I think that was inappropriate.

I think that no matter what is said, America isn't as equal as it seems. I think it will be wrong if Obama doesn't stick to what he claimed to support during the election. I honestly think that that gays should have equal rights as everyone else. It doesn't hurt anyone. There are no words that describe Lady Gaga, she is just strange. I didn't even pay attention to what she was saying because I was so distracted by everything else.

I think their should be equality in the U.S. I don't know if Obama got elected for that or not, I guess we will see. I think gays should be just as equal as me and you because their people they just date the same sex. I agreed with Lady Gaga about the being equal part, but she didn't have to go off like that.

I don't think that people are treated equal in the United States. Obama made a lot of promises to the american people, I really don't think that he plans on keeping all the promises he made. I do think that all people should be treated equal and should not be judged by what they look like or what they believe. I'm not sure what Lady Gaga was trying to say, but I think she wanted equal gay rights. I don't think she wrote her speech the right way.

I think that everyone should be equal in the United States. I think it's very important to have equality in the United States so everyone will be happy. I think he said something about making gays' more equal to get elected. Since then I've never even heard him talk about it anymore. I do think gays should have equal rights in everything, because it's not right to discriminate against people because they like the same sex. I think it's just plain wrong. To be honest, I didn't really understand what she meant by what she said, so I can't give an opinion on that.

I believe that equality isn't even close to what we have in America. I don't understand why anyone would have a problem with people being gay. You can't choose which you like, you are born the way your born. I believe that Obama made that promise to get elected because he doesn't seem right to me. I think gays should have a right to be together. They deserve rights just like we do. I don't agree with everything Lady Gaga said to Obama because shes a little insane.

I think that equality in the United States is not as it should be. Although there are laws to try and make sure that everyone is treated equal, it is a very slow process. I think that Obama is going to try and meet gay activists requests but he has more important things on his plate right now. I think that Obama was listening to Lady Gaga because she was screaming loud enough for the whole city to hear. Hopefully very soon there will be laws that will help people to what they want to do.

I feel equality is changing every day. I think Obama really supports gays, abortion, and so much more not just to get elected... And no I don't agree gays should have full rights. Because God made us to have a wife. Not to be gay or anything like that. I mean God brought Adam, and then Eve. Not another Adam. People to realize the truth and not be critical or stuck up. I have nothing against gays. I just don't agree with what they do... No I don't agree with "Lady Gaga" at all. I don't believe that. We do have freedoms, like freedom of speech, religion, bear arms, and so on. I just think it's crazy people fight for gays. The world has changed dramatically...

I believe that everyone should be treated equally. I think he will do some of the requests for gay activists' but not all of them. I do not think gays should have equal rights in everything. I do not think they should because everyone does not agree with it and it would make some things and people very uncomfortable. I do not even know if I agree with her because I was distracted after she yelled "ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!?!." I honestly believe she is CRAZY.

I think the United States is pretty equal; there are some things that aren't equal and certain things that people just kind of turn there head on. I don't know what Obama's reasoning for making certain promises, except to get more votes, but what president hasn't done that at some point. My opinion with gay people is that it’s pretty much there choice if they want to be gay then I think it’s their decision. The rights thing, I do think they should have equal rights, to me it goes hand in hand with interracial relationships. Not everyone believes or likes these things, but it’s everyone's personal preference and should be left alone.

I think the equality in the United States of America is very important, especially in race. I cannot say that he did it just to become president but I do not think you should make promises you cannot keep. I hope he does his best to meet the gay activists' request so things do not get out of hand. I think should have equal rights in everything they do expect marriage, because I am religious and to me that is taking it too far. I think the Lad Gaga is a little off, because it was not that necessary for her to flip like that. If she would have made sense maybe, I would agree with her but what she was saying made no sense at all.

I think everyone should be equal in every way. I think Obama might try to help gay rights, but i don't know he just might not. I think they should have all rights that straight people have because what they want to do should have nothing to do with what everyone else thinks. They are human like everyone else and every human should be equal, gay or straight, black or white. I think Lady Gaga is psycho, but some of the things she said i did agree with.

I don’t feel that they have equality in America. Not only is there not equality for the gay community, but also women and men, and still in some cases backs and whites. I honestly think Obama just said that to be elected, because now it seems as though he taking what he said back. I do feel that gays should have equal rights in everything. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t, they are just like any other person. I also feel that it’s their life, you don’t agree that’s fine, but who says that your right? Some things that Lady Gaga said I some what agree with but I couldn’t really understand what she was saying some of the time. I did agree with what she told Barney Frank, even though he is gay also.

Will to me I think they should change a lot of things so they can be equal. Yes I think he did and he need to keep that promise to what he have said among his word. I really think they should have same rights because it's nothing different about them at all.I think she was kind of crazy because I feel she could give him some time to think about it. If barney Frank is gay in he living the way he want to ever gay person should be able too.

To be honest, I agree with Amber said if they want to hey, that's them! I think will follow through somewhere down the line, but also he probably said that as an addition to electing him. Sure, I think gays should have their equal rights I mean it is America. That's like saying black and white and can't marriage. It doesn't really matter, but it what it is. Lady Gaga is crazy!

I think that equality is very important in the United States. I think that he actually meant to give gay rights but congress is making it hard for him to help with the gay activists' request. I do believe that gays should have equality in all rights just like everyone else because there people and that's the bottom line with me. Besides, I think that any belief should be respected. Yes I agree with what Lady Gaga said. James St. Peter

Personally I feel that equality in the United States of America would be the right thing to do. I think that Obama is just doing his job because he is the President and he does want to make a change not just with our country but with the people that are in it. Being gay is what you choose to be it's your choice. Yes they should have gay rights in everything there regular human beings just like we are and honestly I don't think that they're doing anything wrong.I love Lady GaGa but I am so glad that she is a singer and not a public speaker because she makes no since but I believe that she made her point and Obama...I hope you we're LISTENING!!!-Cadeja Wilson
